Stumbled into this place for lunch and left pleasantly surprised. Quaint little spot in a great location of the city. Tapas were great, whereas the sangria was average. I would recommend the kobe beef, fried squid, and the asparagus. The service was also excellent. What's holding this restaurant back from a 5 star review was my dates experience with the toilet following the tapas. They were delicious going down but vicious coming back out. Overall great spot, would recommend.

Classic tapas bar in Barrio de Santa Cruz. This was my resting spot a couple of times while the g/f explored the many shops in the area. Pretty standard menu with the requisite legs of ham dangling from the ceiling (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/prLly10_ZmQM_yCKYN7Bgw?select=fmGbnOrsQZ3TzAxZOewWDw). We really liked the gambas al ajillo (shrimp with garlic). Friendly staff.

OMG!!... must and a must ... when you are stuck in the "tapas" the 10,000 places serving you the same .. this place .. words won't do justice... you feel like a local that's all I must say ... those home cooked flavors ... best tasting jamons... you know what I mean in the capital of jamons... you don't have to hang on to your money they are not after it... it's one of those places where ordering 1 of each is not enough .. you got to do two of each ... the must dos .. acorn fed cold cuts .. whatever you fancy really!!!...go for it ... cod in tomato sauce, grilled prawns... grilled mushrooms...fried anchovies, octopus... and wash it down with generous servings of vermouth ... (PS .. vermouth is wine for those of you who don't know.. on the sweeter side .. but so good)... at first service comes across as rude .. but they are just busy .. your orders will be out in a jiffy ... Enjoy!!!!

I loved Las Teresas, and it might have been one of my favorite discoveries on this recent trip to Seville! We went twice and repeated a few things and also tried a few new things as well. Highly recommend the Jamon Iberico (of course, I mean duh) which you really can't go wrong with-- but they do cut it by hand which makes it better and the mushrooms ala plancha which were probably my favorite tapa our entire time in Seville.

Our best traditional tapa bar experiences in all of Spain was in Sevilla - we had 3 great ones, this restaurant being one of them. This tapa bar is located in the famous Barrio Santa Cruz neighborhood and we hopped in for dinner on our 1st night in Sevilla. The tapa menu is for inside seating only. The interior ambience is wonderful with Iberian ham hanging from the ceiling. All the tapas we tried were tasty, especially the patatas alinadas. It was our 1st time trying this dish and it is essentially boiled potatoes in olive oil - pretty simple, but good and filling. But if you are a tourist, there is a little disadvantage because the menu is in Spanish only. And you have to order at the bar like the locals amidst all the hustle and bustle.

Incredible appetizers with wonderful service. The location is as typical Sevilla as it can get. Sit enjoy a glass of wine and people watch. Loved loved loved it!

    Old school. Amazing jamon!

Amazing old bar. Great snacks. In particular, they've really got a grasp on the Jamon culture. The place is filled with Spanish kitsch. Every where you look are photo opportunities. This is obviously a very trendy/touristy neighborhood now. But, these guys are keeping it old-school and original. And, that's what keeps people coming back for more wine, beer, sherry, various pork products and a general feeling of timelessness. One of my favorite bars in Sevilla. Yes, a little dirty. But, your great grandfather could have been drinking here when he was 20. You think he cared about a little dust and dirt?!

I love the food and service! The food is flavorful and delicioso! The servers are friendly and attentive. There are also music acts that play for you while you eat. It is optional to tip, but we always tip because it added the enjoyment and cultural feel if Spain.

We had an amazing tapas lunch here, one of the best we have had in Spain. We came in around 1:30 pm, and it was packed with locals and tourists alike. We ordered at the bar, but a table freed up, so were seated. The waiter gave us great recommendations, and thanks to him we got to try delicious items we would not have ordered otherwise. We had hamon iberico (oh my word!), squid, spinach with chickpeas, grilled mushrooms, garbanzo beans, porkcheek with potatoes (had to repeat that dish, as the pork was a "melt-in-your-mouth" type). Too bad this was our last meal in Seville, otherwise you would be seeing us hanging around that place every day

Went in for lunch on our first afternoon in Seville. Small space but good tapas and well priced. The pulpo and chorizo were excellent.

Knowing we were going to eat a lot during a food tour, we settled on some small tapas (ham, cheese, bread, and olives) and got some sangria and a beer. We sat at the bar and I was able to practice my Spanish with the bartender. The ham was a generous portion and I loved watching them cut it behind the bar! Very fun and old establishment-y vibes. Wish we could've tried more on the menu if we didn't have other plans!

I came here due to a yelp recommendation because like most westerners unaccustomed to the Spanish way of living I was hungry at about 7 pm and needed something to eat. Yay yelp to the rescue. The place was crowded and there were no seats available when I arrived. There were many small groups congregated around tables and a few couples as well. It isn't obvious how to proceed once you come in the door so I probably stood there awkwardly for a few minutes near the door before making my way to the bar to what looked to be a vacant seat. A gentleman informed me that it belonged to his girlfriend so I was forced to now stand awkwardly next to the bar. Bar tender to the rescue explaining that if I waited he was pretty sure someone would leave soon and I could order a drink while I waited. I ordered a sangria and also inquired about food but was told that I need to have an actual seat in order to order food. After nursing my drink for about 20 mins when I was about to pay and head out to find somewhere else to eat, a spot finally opened up and I was treated to the most delicious steak and potatoes and zucchini tapas. This had to be one of the most delicious things I have eaten on this vacation. When I finally vacated my seat to save a pair of new arrivals, there was a line outside of people waiting for the opportunity to eat here. I might chance it again before I leave Seville. I highly recommend for the food and friendly waiters but wish there was a way to turn seats over more quickly. One guy kept insisting he was saving his girlfriend's seat but in the 90 mins I spent there she never showed up. Who knows if she ever existed. Bread comes free with your tapas order and really complimented the meal.

There was a show going on when we arrived around 10:50, so the main entrance was closed off, but we went through the side entrance and ordered drinks at the bar. I got a small glass of the orange wine, since I heard that was the specialty in Sevilla and wanted to try it. It was a sweeter wine but had a slightly bitter after taste. There were already a lot of people there, so it was a bit hard for us to see the performance, but from what I could see, it was really good. When it finally ended around 11, the lights came on. My friend and I didn't want to wait around for the next performance, so we finished our drinks and left. They also have plenty of seating outdoors in the courtyard, so if you want to just grab a drink but not watch the show, you can always sit outside and chat.

We ordered their roasted lamb with cous cous, garlic shrimp croquetta (that was the croquetta of the day), pork cheek stew with potato purée and the chocolate panna cotta for dessert. We also ordered their sangria and tinto de verano. Every dish we ordered was AMAZING - tasty flavorful well seasoned melt in your mouth meat bursting with flavors. We devoured every bite and it was hard to pick a favorite. Both the lamb and pork dishes were 11/10. Not just the taste but the presentation of every tapa was fantastic. Their drinks were also great. The dessert was to die for. This place is super packed during peak dinner hours and there is barely any room to stand. Since we walked in around 11pm, we got a seat and were well taken care of all thru the night. Also noticed alot of veggie options on the menu which was great. Service was awesome ambience is chic. I am certain I am going to crave their tapas once I am back home. Highly highly recommend this place when in Seville.

To call this place rustic would probably capture…read moreit best, it's really probably more like a cafeteria or a school room at a very old school. Tables perhaps a bit close together, not terribly comfortable. Loud, busy. As far as the service, it was our impression that our waiter was the only person serving the 30 or so tables in their dining room. Suffice it to say the service was not fast and not good. Inexplicably, every time we ordered a Coke we were asked if we wanted a Coke Zero. If I wanted a Coke Zero I would have said the words Coke Zero. Even when I asked for another Coke, he again asked "Coke Zero?" It took next to forever to get the check, and forever to get a cappuccino. At one point I took it upon myself to point the waiter to a table behind us that had been desperately attempting to get his attention. This was all not good. As to the food. First, our fault for not knowing what tataki meant. We did not expect to receive salmon that was seared on the outside and raw on the inside. So that one is on us, although we also think the meal came tepid at best. The lamb on couscous was dry and tough. The pork cheek stew was actually pretty good if a bit gluey. The calamari was good. The sushi as they called it was average. What they called the tiramisu was more like a pudding with some liqueur and chocolate on the top, and a little bit of breadish stuff in the bottom. Not my idea of tiramisu, and probably not yours either. So we could not get too excited about these various dishes. But what was particularly frustrating and bizarre was that two people sitting across from us ordered food that looked absolutely delicious. So we got to sit there wondering why we didn't order what they ordered. They ordered a large beef dish with potatoes which is on the menu, and we think they ordered a large octopus meal although we are not sure. Everything they had looked better than anything we had. So it may be that we somehow just picked the wrong items. So it was a strangely frustrating meal. This place has good reviews and we expected good tasting food. Unfortunately it did not work out that way, and the ambience and service were negative contributing factors. I can't entirely write this place off, only because the food other diners received actually looked very good. But I don't think I would go there again.
