I was in Marietta for business and stopped at Las Trancas on my night in town. The meal was great and I was served promptly. The restaurant is bigger inside than you can see from the outside with a variety of table sizes and booths too. Would recommend for a quick bite! Dude! THIS PLACE.. AMAZING!! I just like to say thank you to the Waiter at Las Trancas, you was so kind and you always delivered in time. We gave you a ($10 - Tip) for a reason cause he deserved it. Now the food at Las Trancas was mind blowing. The chip and dip was always fresh and hot. The Chimichanga was AMAZING with the Chaso sauce I requested instead of the nacho cheese, exactly what I was hoping for. I feel like that for the majority of Marietta, you are either Team Las Trancas or Team Tampico; their competition. I have always preferred Tampicos. I've eaten here a couple of times just to ensure that I was on mark with my opinion. Location wise, I really feel that they are conveniently located. The restaurant is festive and always has music going; it's a great atmosphere and clean. Service has always been exceptional. If I was only rating this restaurant on the above, then it would be deserving of 5 stars. But what most of us want is great food. They do offer unlimited complimentary chips and salsa. Each time that I have ever visited, the salsa has been runny and much too spicy for my liking. I've tried the chicken chimichangas on each occasion and it has never offered the flavor that I was seeking. Seeing as how I have eaten at hundreds of Mexican restaurants though, I am a tough reviewer in the area of Mexican cuisine. Because I really want to like this restaurant, I may try them again at some point, but for now, I am saying that they are just okay. read more

Ate dinner here 8/24/23 server was non attentive and showed negative attitude when two of our group only ordered water to drink. Had cheese dip appetizer that had chunks in and needed reheating. Service was mixed - our waiter was very nice and funny but we had to keep asking for things - like menus, silverware, etc. I thought the salsa was a weak point - it was pretty tasteless - almost like water. Well, based on the reviews, thought I'd give them a shot while in Marietta, Ohio. It was a Friday night, so pretty crowded, but was seated in about 10 minutes. My wife and I made bad menu choices - should have stuck with sizzling Fajitas most were getting. I tried the 8oz Sirloin with vegetables and ground chorizo with sliced potatoes. The sirloin was actually top sirloin with extreme gristle. The vegetables were frozen from a bag, and partly grilled (some still frozen, some charred). The chorizo with potatoes was OK. The wife had Enchiladas Supremas, and it wasn't good either - the cheese enchilada was sweet - which is just weird. Simply put, will not be back. read more

So delicious!!! Probably the fastest I've ever consumed Mexican food, it was so good!! We travel from MI to NC every year and I can't believe we've never stopped here before. My parents raved over the carnitas. Said it was so tender and flavorful they couldn't even pick it up with their fork. Salsa has great flavor. Rice was so good!! I literally scraped my plate clean. My food tasted like it came from the freezer and straight into the microwave. The ground beef had no seasoning and tasted especially freezer burnt. The only good part was that it was fast...but I'd rather wait longer for food that tastes better! The service was a little too good. The waiter came to check on us every 2 minutes or so. Been coming here every Monday for the last few weeks, service has always been good. Tonight 5/31/2021 was rather disappointing however, there is always four of us. Queso that was ordered never got brought to the table, waitress took one of our drinks and didn't bring it back until 10+ minutes had passed, 2 of our orders were wrong and the waitress disappeared after bringing our food so we couldn't even find her to say that our orders were wrong until she came to bring us the check. Definitely worth getting off the Interstate. Try the lime margarita on Monday nights --wonderful brain freeze! And tasty appetizers under the side orders.
