I was so depressed at the thought of having my breast removed from a very aggressive return of my cancer after only 2 1/2 years. I am an active 63 year old and pride myself in staying in shape and enjoying my life. My mom died at 54 years of age and I have always been terrified that I would also loose my life to this dreadful disease. Ive had a hydrafacial here before w out issue but this time was very very different. I have also…read morebeen getting hydrafacials for over 10 yrs at multiple locations and have NEVER had an issue (and I am not on any medication or new/active products) I always come out with glowing skin looking better than I went in. I made the appt and verified the cost would be $149. I did agree to add dermaplaning to my service but was not made aware of any additional charges beyond that, or the cost. I think this may have been a miscommunication because I had a $100 birthday coupon I was planning to use but regardless asked what the cost of the service was...period (not after my coupon). That is also why I agreed to the additional dermaplaning. I reiterated before the service that my skin is sensitive and at the time had some clogged pores but only one active breakout. I left with red raw bumpy dry skin. I called immediately after the service to complain and asked for someone to call me also to discuss the $249 I was charged. I reached out thru Klara multiple times as well as sent multiple pics.The entire left side of my face was covered with large painful red bumps and breakouts. I did hear back once from the person that performed the service indicating it could be from the heat and should be better by the next day. Unfortunately things did not get any better the next day and I did not receive a call like I was told she would or message asking how it was. Would not recommend and will definitely not go back. Besides the fact my skin look significantly worse,,,I feel the costs were not upfront and transparent. Update :I had to see a dermatologist today because of the severe redness/irritation/discomfort. From start to finish the entire team from office staff , to nurses , to the anesthesiologist were spectacular . Today was my post opt date and the office went above and beyond for me as they always do . Dr Aydin has a wonderful way of explaining the human anatomy and makes you feel extremely comfortable in an uncomfortable situation of showing your flaws . They feel like family to me and my family . He didn't acknowledge anything I told him and when I asked questions he was very vague - I had to pry to get a real response to anything. It felt like the consultation was an inconvenience to him. I found him to be very disrespectful too. At one point I had to remove the paper "shirt" and he snatched it, ripping it. When he was done, instead of letting me cover up again, he continued to talk and then opened the door - potentially exposing me to the whole staff right outside. I had to rush to turn around and cover up with something. The office itself was very dirty/outdated. The chairs in the room were all stained and the paper from the last patient was still on the table. The staff were nice enough, but unprofessional - laughing and joking loudly behind the desk. I would never let this person come near me with a knife. Luckily for me, after a month they had still not sent my request to my insurance, so it was easy for me to find a different doctor. I found a professional doctor, with a hard-working staff, who did an amazing job.
