I came in for a liquid gel refill at Tipsy Nail Bar, and it was honestly the worst mistake. My previous liquid gel set--done at a different salon--lasted 5 weeks with zero issues: no lifting, no cracks, nothing. I only decided to try Tipsy because it was much closer to where I live. Exactly 7 days later, one of my nails lifted almost completely from the back. I reached out, and they did agree to repair it at no cost, which I appreciated. However, they mentioned: "Sometimes gel color doesn't bond as well when it comes into contact with the natural oils on the nail. This can happen even with proper prep." I went back in, had the nail fixed, and the technician checked the rest and said everything looked fine. Then the very next morning, another nail lifted from the back almost completely. This time it ripped my natural nail underneath, and I had to remove it at home. For $75, this service was absolutely not worth it. I don't mind paying for expensive nail services--but I do expect them to actually last longer than a week, especially when my previous set had no issues at all. Save your money and go elsewhere.

If you have never threaded before let me break it down for you. Personally I have thick, dense hair and threading just seems to keep me manicured looking clean longer than traditional wax. This is just my preference. Threading is done with string and is the method of pulling the hair from its follicle at the root. You typically use both your hands while she threads. One of them is used to pull down your skin tight from your eyelid area and the other one pull your skin up to create a tight surface easy for maximum hair removal. It is painful but so worth it! Takes around 10-15 minutes and a very short wait. Keep in mind y'all that my right eyebrow is extremely rounded and I am currently working on its arch game.

I still had glue stuck under my eyelid which I had to use a q-tip with my own makeup remover to remove, then got tweezers to pull the glue off. Also, some of my lashes lifted but others are bent... two of my lashes are bent downward not upward and some of my lashes instead of going straight up because they are bent go to the side... I also noticed small pieces of glue on my lashes but wasn't able to touch them until 2 days later when I washed my face. Alexis was nice and went over the process so that wasn't a problem.
