If you have never threaded before let me break it down for you. Personally I have thick, dense hair and threading just seems to keep me manicured looking clean longer than traditional wax. This is just my preference. Threading is done with string and is the method of pulling the hair from its follicle at the root. You typically use both your hands while she threads. One of them is used to pull down your skin tight from your eyelid area and the other one pull your skin up to create a tight surface easy for maximum hair removal. It is painful but so worth it! Takes around 10-15 minutes and a very short wait. Keep in mind y'all that my right eyebrow is extremely rounded and I am currently working on its arch game.

She applied way too much glue, and when I needed a touch up, instead of filling in the gaps, she just layered more lashes on top, which was too much for my small lashes. Because of this, my lashes are a lot thinner than they used to be. While the price was great compared to the higher end lash extensions, it is not worth it. I would suggest splurging elsewhere on proper lash extensions. The only reason I went to her for my eyelash extensions was because it was semi-affordable compared to the higher end places. I went to Angel because she had great Yelp reviews. Yes she is very nice but no she is NOT a good waxer. She didn't show me how my face looked while/after waxing which was really bizarre but I thought maybe just with the masks it's different? She left a good chunk of hair on my upper lip, like it looked like she missed half. There was also a ton of hair left in my nose. It was super frustrating because I had to go back and didn't realize it right away while I was there because she didn't show me (which is normal practice in Chicago). I also had a Brazilian done. I felt like she didn't wait for the wax to get tacky and during the waxing process I was kind of like oh that's more sticky than it should be - but didn't say anything. Now I'm actually having hair grow back (and noticed some spots she missed) two days later. This has literally never been a problem before - and like I said I have been a consistent waxer for 2+ years at EWC. I am still a huge fan of EWC but just not the location or maybe just not Angel? I only gave 2 stars because Avery was nice enough to fix the lip/nose wax and did a great job.
