I come here every 2-3 weeks to get my lashes done by Jamie, and have been regularly wearing these silk lashes for the past 6 months. Personal: I used to always wear falsies (the kind at daiso/dollywinks) and now with lash extensions, I can skip the falsies, and mascara. On most days I don't even need to wear makeup anymore because my eyes already have that "pop." Why did I choose to go to Jamie? Because she does LAYERED lashes which gives a soft feathery natural look. Time: Each session takes roughly one hour to an hour and half because Jamie takes her time gluing individual lashes to your natural lashes. She makes them really even and beautiful. She switches the type of lashes depending on when my lashes are shedding, which os great because it doesn't weigh my lashes down. Her facials are also really great. While her sister, Chi, is wonderful at lash extensions and facials, I've been seeing Jaime now for the past 3 years as she has evening appointments that work best with my schedule. Everything from my first review still rings true, but let me add these highlights: Jaime's level of customer service is unparalleled. I have managed hair salons in the past and my expectations are rather high. Jaime surpasses my high standards by far. Seriously, I have never seen this level of commitment to clients. She is such a hard worker and is dedicated to her craft. Jaime has guided me through extensions and has never compromised the integrity of my real lashes. She has even recommended certain vitamins to maintain the strength of my natural lashes. This attention to detail is really important when it comes to extensions and it's what separates the best from the average. Jaime is at master level! Also, while Jaime was very honest with me that my lashes wouldn't last as long during a trip to Hawai'i, 2.5 weeks of intense swimming and surfing later and my lashes still looked great! 1.5 stars. If the gal wasn't so kind, this would really be a one-star review. (I'm not sure who did my lashes here.) It's because these lashes cost me double what they should. I'll explain: Judging from the excellent reviews, I was prepared to get service that at least matched the fantastic quality of my place at home. I always get synthetic lashes, which are offered here too. I just had a fill on my lashes a couple weeks back and just wanted a touch-up. She noted that my synthetic lashes were straight, and she didn't have straight lashes but that they would look fine. I got a little worried right then. So, curled lashes go on. I look in the mirror and I can tell she's nervous... ...my eyes looked like Don King's hair. Each lash went in every which direction and she did not match the length of the lashes appropriately to the shape of my eye. I had to pull out super-long lashes that were right in the epicanthic fold of my eye. OUCH. I asked for a brush and tried to fix them myself. It was a fruitless effort. I spent $57.50 including tip... Remember, I had a nice lash job before I got there, they just needed a few to be filled in. It's 50 hours later, and almost all the lashes fell (lumped together) from my eyes. The weight of so many glued together PULLED OUT my healthy short lashes :(( My $50 fill at home (plus the $15 dollar tip) plus $57.50 minus eyelashes (synthetic and real) = sucky. Lashes by Chi is the best lash place in SF, I'm seriously convinced. I recently moved from Chicago so I was on the hunt for a new lash woman and luckily I just happened to find Chi. Not only is Chi SO personable and kind, she also provides amazing results when it comes to my lashes. I described what I wanted and she gave me exactly that! My lashes are a million times better now than they were when I was getting them done in Chicago. Her pricing is pretty reasonable for lash extensions. In Chicago it was $200-250 to get a full set and $110 to get a fill every two weeks. Chi charged me $160 for a full set and only $50 for a fill. The great pricing makes such a difference and after extensive research of all the lash places in the city, she definitely has the best pricing. I also got my nails done there and they were absolutely perfect! I found Chi a year ago through yelp and it was my wise choice to come here over other lash extension places in SF. Chi offers the famous lash extension specialty called "Long mi" by Daniel Dinh. If you do some research on lash extension, "Long mi" is widely used by those Hollywood celebrities down in socal. I go with a budget ones which is less pricy and more natural but still satisfied with the quality. To make it last longer, within 24 hrs, do not let the lashes touch water, remove your make up with a sponge rather than stab water directly onto your face. Chi does her job so skillful that people around me don't recognize that my lashes are fake. Chi also offers facial services. 6 months ago, I had severe facial problem on my skin, both on the face and at the back. Chi suggested me to go with her salicylic acid back treatment as well as using her Dermaquest facial cleanser to wash out the toxic on my skin. My skin, after 6 months, is better now with some minor black scars due to the impact of the pimples. You have an extra massage service as well so why not go for it. read more

Hands down the best place to get lash extensions in the city. Jamie, lash guru extraordinare, is the best of the best. She'll get you up to speed about all things lash extensions (like how to take care of them, products to help maintain, etc) when you first meet and any other questions down the road, she'll be happy to clarify. She's super sweet, super easy to talk to and super awesome! I am always surprised on how many lashes Jamie manages to put on me! FYI I am Asian, no eyelids and have about 10 super thin lashes on each eye (go me!!), so MAJOR KUDOS to her. The lash fall out factor depends on your natural lash cycle. Mine tend to have 80% on before the day I go in for a touch-up, which is amazing. I no longer have to wear false eyelashes or eye makeup! Hooray! I literally just wash my face in the morning, swipe some blush and Burt's Bees and zip out the door. I'd rather spend those 20 minutes in bed producing much-needed zzzzzs than applying makeup. Atmosphere is super cozy. Like being in a little Parisian nook! There are blankets in case you get cold. The first initial lash session might be a little pricey, but after that, each touch-up (every 2 weeks) costs $65. If you think about how much time you'll be saving in the morning, it is definitely worth the price. I used to go to the other shop for my lashes but since I met Jamie, I only go here now. :) My eyelashes are naturally thinner than general so it was really easy for me to lose them before I met Jamie. But now it lasts much longer than I had experienced before from the other shop and I'm very happy with her techniques. Also she is very fun to talk and the room is very comfortable so I always fall a sleep too. My eyes look way better than the last shop. I bought the make up remover products from her too and it's very mild to my eyes and I love using it. You will lose some of your eye lashes extension from the next day you get if you're not experienced a lot at having eye lashes extension BUT once you get used to having them and know how to treat them then you won't lose it so easily unless you cry A LOT or use OIL products. Especially Jamie's technics and products(including eyelashes) are really great :) Refill is only $65.:) I just get my eye lashes done yesterday and I'm happy with it!! This review is so overdue. I wanted to get lashes JUST for my bff's wedding in October...of 2014. It's been a full year since. I see Jamie every 2 weeks, & she is amazing. She is extremely meticulous and patient. The process of getting my lashes done is very relaxing and I even fall asleep while she does her thing. One hour later, I have full, fluffy, beautiful lashes! I used to apply the full on eye makeup; eye shadow, eyeliner, & mascara. With the extensions I don't need any of that. These lashes 'open' my eyes up. I've always had average short stick straight lashes. Having not to rip them out with a lash curler everyday, and applying goopy mascara is a dream.
