Anna and Honeypot is one of my greatest yelp finds of all time- she is professional, friendly, detail oriented, and extremely good at what she does. I was so worried that sugaring (Brazilian too!) would come with an unbearable amount of pain, but Anna does a great job making the experience more than just bearable, dare I say enjoyable. I booked a 5:15 appt via the website and received a confirmation over 24 hours in advance, but no one was there when I arrived. I called, left a voicemail, and sent an email to check in. I haven't heard back to reschedule, or even for an apology. I left work early, traveled to make this appointment, and now I am going on a beach vacation tonight without a wax, so overall very disappointed in the lack of communication. Getting your "naughty bits" primped is a rather intimate affair, and I don't just let anyone go down there if you know what I mean! ;) Being the busy lil bee that I am, I'm always squeezing my appointments in last minute, and her online scheduler makes it easy to get in as necessary. The Honeypot experience begins with her artfully-curated studio. She keeps a cocktail in her waiting room on the ready to ease you into your wax or sugar service. First time ever getting any type of Brazilian service so I was really nervous, but I'm glad I went to Honeypot. It went really well! The space looked cozy and nice, had cute, fun, and feminine decor. Just looking around I was actually starting to feel a bit excited for the service. But Anna on another hand, she is such a doll. She is so funny and personable, yet super professional at the same time. She made me feel at ease right away with a couple of cocktails and explained to me how sugar hair removal works. Since I have never had any previous experience with wax or sugar hair removal, I don't have anything to compare this with. Yes it did hurt - but, Anna made the experience so delightful. Talking to her not only made me forget about the pain, but I was actually having a blast at the same time. It also didn't hurt as much as I thought. I've been coming to Anna for a number of years now for waxing and most recently, sugaring, which is amazing, and I look forward (as much as one can look forward to getting waxed in sensitive areas) to my sessions with her! Anna is a delight, her salon is absolutely whimsical and lovely, with personal and warm touches, it has a gorgeous view of downtown buildings, and every visit starts with a refreshing seasonal cocktail. Sweet honey of Jesus! Anna is AMAZING. I came here for my first brazilian ever, and decided to try sugaring (my research told me it hurt less than waxing). Easy online booking system, and later that week, I walked into the sweet little studio on the 9th floor... I felt like I had just arrived at my BFF's chic studio apartment. Somehow Anna magically made me feel totally at ease and super comfortable with what is by any definition a rather awkward and painful activity. I would describe the process of getting a Brazilian with Anna as mellow and relaxing. There she was, ripping hair off my whahaha, and it was entirely pleasant. Yes---that's right. PLEASANT. I'm sure the cocktail she handed me when I came in helped set the good mood, but seriously, Anna was masterful all around. She worked quickly and meticulously. She told me great stories. She distracted me from the pain with the type of warm conversation that I usually only have with my long-time friends. Did I mention that I had just met her? She answered all my questions beforehand, walked me through the sugaring process, and also helped me choose a shape/style that I liked, and would fit my personality and lifestyle. She was very open and made sure I loved the finished 'do. I gladly tipped her 25% percent. I would've tipped her more, but I only had a 20 on me... I walked out of there feeling like a million bucks. All around perfect service. Anna is a delight. Your new best friend. If you are in a situation where you LOOK FORWARD to having your body hair waxed off, because you get to hang out in a beautiful space with stellar company, then you are a lucky human indeed. I'm an extremely fair redhead with sensitive skin, with all the woes that entails- bumps, extra sensitivity to pain. But since I've been going to Anna (2 years now), I have not experienced any of this. She's some sort of waxing wizard. With unicorn magic. Bonus! Anna is the best! I heard good things about her before I booked a treatment. I went in for a wax treatment and ended up getting the sugaring done. I don't think I will ever go back to waxing. It didn't irritate my skin like the wax has done in the past (with other waxers) I also didn't get ingrown hairs which is common for me. It seemed the hair didn't grow back as fast as when I get waxing done. Also the process was painless. Anna is awesome. She has a cool personality and right away you feel like she's been your good friend for years. She offered me a delicious greyhound cocktail before we started our session. I don't often admit to things like this, but I needed therapy. BROW therapy, that is. You see, my last brow wax left me with what I felt like was an play on looking like Whoopi Goldberg, and for the following 8 weeks (and contemplating putting Miracle Gro on my eyebrows), I had to grow them out. But just like death and taxes, needing another brow wax was absolutely certain, and so I turned to some help from a professional. And then Anna and Honeypot came up in my search. Anna's super cute little spot in the Shreve building in Union Square is cozy, clean, and inviting. There isn't any sense of pretentiousness, and after talking to Anna for a few minutes, I felt like I had known her for years. Talking to her is like talking to an old friend you haven't seen in awhile and you spend the time talking about anything and everything. The wax itself was perfect and just what I needed as my brows continue their rehab back into normal society. I'm very nervous about going with anyone other than my usual eyebrow lady but she's all the way in the East Bay so I thought I'd take a risk and it paid off! Anna cleaned up my eyebrows and kept them thick how I like them and kept my shape - will come back here next time I'm in a pinch! $27 for just eyebrows is a bit steep but cheap compared to other SF spots. read more

This was the BEST bikini wax I have ever had - no doubt about it. And I've been waxed in all sorts of places, from a shack in Sub-Saharan Africa to a shwanky spa in Europe. This was the best. Anna and Honeypot are so lovely... I've been waxing since I was 13 so I'm used to waxing and have also had really bad experiences and really good ones. This one was fantastic! I decided to give sugaring a go since I've never done it before and I read it's better than waxing for several reasons. I really liked the sugaring because it's not hot and there are no ingrowns (crazy, right?). Anna made it quick, painless (you know as painless as sugaring in those areas can be), and the conversation was pleasant and not forced. I recommend her and Honeypot without a doubt. read more

Wow, Anna was amazing! I was up in the city for an event before a trip to Australia, and desperately needed a bikini wax. Anna did an extended sugar bikini wax, and she was amazing. I have only done traditional waxing in the past and always have a red rash for awhile after. The sugaring left me so smooth and clean... I will never go back! When I moved from Atlanta I was worried that I could never replace my waxer and it took me a few unfortunate tries at other places before I found Honeypot! Honeypot is immaculate and Anna is funny, charming and does as painless a job as could be hoped! There is always an offer of water or cocktail of the day plus Bit o'honey candies. Scheduling online is must for me and that's easy to do. You can get strip or hard wax; I haven't tried the sugar. To summarize, great wax job in a lovely place. Anna has always been amazing, but in these trying times with COVID she really stepped up to the plate. Honeypot was the first place I went after 5 months of quarantine (other than the grocery store). I didn't realize how nervous I was to be in a public space! Anna put my mind at ease with her new COVID processes. Everything is always super clean at Honeypot, but she's added additional cleaning and sanitizing processes to her already extensive cleaning processes to ensure customers are safe and healthy.
