This review is long overdue! So, I held off on getting lash extensions for a long time. I was worried about two things: damaging my natural lashes, and getting addicted to having the extensions. However, the idea of not having to put on/remove mascara every day finally won, and thankfully I found Alyssa. She is SO good at what she does. I am extremely discerning and particular with my hair, skin, makeup, etc. My biggest fear was that the lashes would look over the top, Vegas Showgirl style (nothing wrong with it, just not for me!) They are always perfect. My lashes just look full and long and gorgeous. And They last a long time, even when I don't take great care of them. As far as damage to my own lashes, the quarantine was the true test: and my natural lashes were intact! Alyssa is so personable, you feel like you feel like you're hanging out with a girlfriend you've known forever. She is incredibly thorough, and wants to make sure I'm happy when I leave. I've been to two other places before finding Alyssa, she does a far superior job! I'm new to the lash world and so popped around looking for the right fit, but never felt the look fit me and the lashes didn't last very long. With Alyssa, I go 3 weeks between fills which I could never do before. I like a "mascara" look. People have to ask if they are mine, and they always compliment how good and natural they look. The price is great and it doesn't take long at all ($60 every 3 weeks; 1 hour). She is really careful with my lashes and they shed naturally versus feeling like they are being pulled out. I feel very confident in her talent and application techniques. Don't hesitate going to see her! read more

Alyssa is extremely personable and welcoming. I love going to get my lashes done because she is very efficient taking about 2 hours for a full set, an hour for a full fill and a half hour for a mini fill. Pricing are $20 for a mini fill (only needed once every week or so if you're not doing other fills), $40 for a full fill (only needed once every 3 weeks generally) and I got my first full set from Groupon for $75 and it included a free full fill. Quite the deal! Alyssa is the most affordable eyelash extension place I've seen thus far in San Diego and per quality is above any other salon I've tried. I did my lashes for a cruise and have filled them twice now just to maintain throughout the summer. It's so nice to not have to wear any makeup on vacations, pool days, etc. and my sessions with her are so relaxing, you should try her out! *Note that the salon doesn't have A/C though there's been talk of the building putting that in soon. That being said the window is open for a nice breeze and I've gone twice now when it's 90 degrees out in Pacific Beach, yes 90 in PB, and didn't even notice it being warm. If you run hot try to set up your appointment on a cooler day if possible. Booking at least a week out is recommended. read more

Stop your search!!! You've literally found the best when it comes to eyelash extensions in PB! As much as I do not want her schedule to fill up so there's still time for little 'ol me, I had to give her mad props as my lashes have never looked better or lasted longer. I've struggled in the past keeping them on and Alyssa took the time to talk through my routine and help me understand how to help me keep them in tact for as long as possible. I have had lash extensions in the past... multiple times! I always love them the first couple days then they start falling out, always seemed like so much up keep..... Alyssa has been doing my lashes for about 3 months now. From the start, I was impressed with her knowledge, expertise, and professionalism. Not happy with my previous lash technician, I went to Alyssa for a 3-week fill. After carefully analyzing my existing lashes, she told me they were too long & heavy for the current condition of my lashes, because the previous person had "stacked" the lashes, weakening my own. She suggested removing all the old lashes, and starting fresh with a much more delicate set. This was fine with me, as I wanted a natural look and had given up on ever getting that from the previous person, even though I brought her pictures & even false lashes to copy--she always overdid it. Alyssa gave me a very fair price on a full set, and she did a wonderful job. Since then, I've been back every 2-3 weeks, and Alyssa has increased the thickness & length of the extensions as my own lashes recovered. Several months later, my lashes have never looked better, and I'm a loyal, happy client! Another note: every other person who has done my lashes has hurt my while removing the "lashes gone awry." Omg I just moved to San Diego from Beverly Hills and I was freaking out I wouldn't be able to find a place for eyelashes as good as the place I went to in Beverly Hills. Alyssa does great lash work! I started coming a year ago before all my wedding festivities and now I'm completely addicted. You can barely feel her touching you, she's easy to carry a conversation with which helps the time go by and in my opinion very reasonably priced.
