After I got my first set of lashes done in San Francisco. It wasn't even a week yet and they started to look a lot thinner. I found this place on Yelp and decided to set up an appointment. I told Fria that I got a natural set of lashes (every other lash had an extension) and that I wanted a fuller look. After explaining to her what I wanted, she knew exactly what would fit the built of my lashes. I am so happy how they turned out!!! I was a bit anxious about the adhesive because I had a pretty bad tearing reaction when I got them done in San Francisco. But the adhesive that Fria uses gave me no tearing or sensitivity at all!! Even though I just got my lash extensions done in San Francisco, Fria informed me that most of my lash extensions were grown out and sparse. So she had to remove some of them and it was completely painless! Here is a list to why I gave this place five stars -easy to make an appointment - reasonable prices (also the $119 promotion for any type of lash extensions is a great deal) - the adhesive does not harm or irritate my sensitive eyes - Fria is very quick and gentle on my lashes - clean place - they use faux mink lash extensions that feel so light and comfortable (doesn't even feel like I have them on) - the protection pads they use for my under eyes during application peeled off very easily after I was finished with my session. - My lashes look so natural, full, and are exactly what I wanted. - they tell you what kind of adhesive they use (cyanoacrylate). Unlike the lash extension place in San Francisco who told me they don't give out the name or ingredients used in their adhesive. It has been about 10 minutes since my application and so far I feel no sensitivity. My lashes feel as light as a feather. As opposed to my first set of lashes, which gave me immediate discomfort and a "dry-eye" feeling. If you are ever in San Francisco, don't go to LASH LAb despite their reviews. The Pretty Box gives you the lash extension experience that you should have. No discomfort, lashes that suit your eye shape and lash built, and quick application ( it didn't even take an hour for my full set of lashes). Thank you Fria! It appears as if many of you have much different luck, so I don't know why my story is different, but I never felt like a valued customer. It didn't seem like she cared about me or my patronage. I went back to her a second time just in case my initial visit was an isolated incident, but it was the same story. I don't expect to become besties, in fact, I really don't want my ear to be talked off during during an appointment, but I do want to know that I matter and that you are interested. As far as price goes: I was referred by a coworker who said she had a special that month. I believe her full set was $80, or something like that- which is reasonable. I asked about fills and she said they can range depending on how many weeks you wait. The range she gave me was very different from what I was charged after my fill, which made me unhappy. I still tipped her, but resolved that our relationship had to end. I am the type of person who deeply wants to be a loyal customer-- especially to a small business owner. I love love love how Fria does my eyelashes! I've been getting my lashes done since 2011, and I have gone to 3 or 4 girls over the years, but Fria is one of the best. She has such a soothing yet friendly energy, is professional, and takes pride in her work. Something that really impressed me about Fria was that out of all the girls I have seen, and all the years I have been getting lashes, the first time she did mine, she noticed that one of my eyes is a little smaller than the other. She mentioned how she noticed this, and she explained that she could use different lengths than my other eye, to even out my look, and by creating dimension a certain way. I was referred to Lauren at The Pretty Box when I ran into a friend of mine and couldn't get over how absolutely incredible her lashes looked. I can't say enough about this gem of a technician and the fabulous work she does! First of all, my lashes are extremely sparse to begin with and one side likes to pull to the left, so it takes a true artist to make them come to life and look perfect.
