They called me back 15 minutes later and said they would honor the price. The aesthetician wore latex gloves the entire time that were a size too big at her... so the only thing I could smell was latex in the sound of that rubbing up against my face. I'm pretty sure she just used soap and water. I asked for a deep cleansing facial, she "cleansed" my face for no more than 2 minutes, max. She was washing my face, rinsing out the washcloth a bowl of dirty water that she had removed the scrub from. She would leave the room for 5 mins at a time and in the salon, the owner (?) was walking around talking on speakerphone... the least relaxing environment I have ever been in. I paid to have a face mask put on, it would've been a heck of a lot cheaper if I did it at my house. Finally, I went to check out and there was a miscellaneous $10 charge. There was no mention of "additional charges" when I was on the phone yesterday discussing the price. I think my skin looked better when I walked in. Super unhappy, would absolutely not return.

AVOID THIS SALON. I…read morehad the absolute worst experience at La Jolie Salon & Spa. I left in tears feeling ugly and not looking like myself. I went in for a brow lamination and tint plus a lash tint. I was never asked what shape or tint color I would like. The tint does not match my hair or skin tone and the shape is not what I would have picked. The lash tint is jet black and left stains around my eyes - I look like a punk rocker raccoon. I never received post care instructions so when I went home I scrubbed my face to get as much of the tint off as possible. I know from getting laminations before that you cannot get them wet same day so this treatment was useless and a HUGE waste of my money. On top of not getting to advise on my service, during the service I was not treated with care. I was left in the room for random amounts of time on several occasions. I had my Apple Watch so I would see if the salon would come back to check on me when they said but the times were always extended which is probably why the tints are so much darker then expected. I cannot stress this enough - do not go here.

I decided to try it. Sunita listened to my requests. Clean up the eyebrows. Make them look natural - I don't want it to look like I do my eyebrows. I know hard angles are the in thing right now, but I don't want that. After doing 1 eyebrow, Sunita let me check a mirror to make sure I was happy with the shape. I was. If you've never threaded before - here is what to expect. Unlike waxing, where your eyebrows are shaped with 3 or 4 pulls, with threading there were 30-40 pulls per eyebrow. The pain level was about the same - but it was the pain 40 times, not 4. (Personally I've never thought of this as painful, just uncomfortable). It didn't seem to matter that fewer hairs were being pulled each time. With threading, your eyebrows are not encased in wax, so as they are pulled, you feel random eyebrow hairs fluttering all over your face. When the brows were done, the skin around my eyebrows was all red. Whatever antiseptic she put on my brows stung a little. The next morning, my skin was still sensitive and I noticed an abrasion below one of the eyebrows. I was told the threading would last longer than waxing. I was then told that the brows would last 2-3 weeks. We shall see.
