I have tried several other places for waxing (including the Benefit in Westport) and Mallory is the only one who I've kept coming back to. I have social anxiety and I usually hate having any beauty services done (haircuts, manicures, etc) but I actually look forward to seeing Mallory. The manager (I assume that's who she is because she presents as having authority) is always very rude. I have never had a positive interaction with her. During your birthday week you can receive a free brow wax, so I took advantage of that and also got a brow tint (knowing I would have to pay for the extra service). The manager told me several times that only the brow wax was covered and I have to pay for the tint and tip on the whole amount. I already knew all of that and did not appreciate her treating me like that, she was practically berating me. She has such a negative attitude and is so unpleasant to be around. I continue to put up with her though just for Mallory. The atmosphere in the boutique is also uncomfortable sometimes. I only come there for waxing services, although they do carry the full line of Benefit products. I do love Benefit but it is cheaper for me to buy their products at other stores where I can earn rewards or use coupons. But whenever you are there, especially if you are waiting for your appointment, employees will follow you around and push products on you trying to make a sale. After you get waxed they will ask if you want some aloe and I always say no (even though I would like some) because I don't want them to pitch any products. I understand they must have sales goals to meet but it is very off putting. Overall, it is worth it to come here for Mallory.

It's pretty much a nail factory, you're in and then out. Could be slightly cleaner and would be nice to have some few amenities or extras like water offering, a quick dry coat at the drying station or something. I don't usually do complicated things at the nail salon, just a regular mani/pedi so I can't speak for the other services. Nail color selection was ok, needs to be better organized though. Parking is available in the back of the store. Got super busy by 3 pm on a Thursday with people waiting but before that, no wait. Pedi - It was a bit quick and no frills. Nothing special or extra, no 5 minute leg massage that you typically get at other places. You have to pay for that as part of a package or a la carte. Foot scrub was extremely light with little force and again, quick. Mani - I got a basic mani but you can see from my picture, the nail tech didn't do a good job with coverage and layering the polish. You can see the line from the 1st coat to the 2nd. I don't ask for perfection but I didn't think that they could mess up something so basic.

I came in for a gel manicure and pedicure. Why do they have two different sections for both?? I went over to the manicure section. She put foil and acetone on my nails and then I had to walk over to my pedicure station. she left on the aluminum foil with the acetone for exactly 42 minutes. My nails are fried. I told her it was burning and she proceeded to then wrap my hands with a warm towel. Keep in mind, my nails still hard aluminum foil with acetone on them. When you took them off, my nails were misshapen. She goes "oh I don't know what happened. Maybe your nails are too long". Im literally tearing up on the chair. She also did not even manicure my nails. I went home and I had more cuticle than ever. I had to cut my cuticles at home. My nails are paper thin. She proceeded to put only one layer of gel, red, and one layer of the clearcoat. My nails literally feel like a sheet of paper. She goes by Laura. I'm very sad my nails are ruined....

I went here to get a spray tan before my wedding after reading all the great reviews. I can't…read moreremember the names of the 2 ladies that were there working with me, but they were both very nice and sweet. I felt very comfortable!! Once the spray was over they gave me a dryer to dry the tan off with. I think it was a little too powerful, or I held it too close (most likely a combination of the 2) because my spray tan had drip marks on my back shoulder. No one else noticed unless I pointed it out so it wasn't too bad...but next time maybe they could help with that part or give a little more instruction. Before I left I was SUPER dark (I asked for the lightest option possible). I've spray Tanned before so I know it's mainly the bronzer, but asked how long it should stay on. I'm very pale and didn't want to look unnatural. They recommended overnight (I was their last appointment of the day so it was already late). When I woke up the next morning I was so scared because I was wayyyy too dark and it looked so fake :( I jumped in the shower to rinse off and was still super dark after. Considering it was now a day before my wedding I was in full panic mode and trying everything to lessen the tan. By the day of my wedding the tan faded to a more normal natural color. The final outcome was good and I was happy with it. If it wasn't for my wedding I wouldn't have panicked so much with the super dark color and let it fade naturally. The only negative was that the tan ended up on the inside of my dress and kept wearing off. By that time you would think it wouldn't be transferring to any fabrics (especially after all the showers I took trying to lessen the color). Even 4 days after the spray tan when I went to get a pedicure for the honeymoon the tan was coming off on the white towels the salon was using when wiping my legs down. Was very weird. All in all, I would return to get another spray tan because the final outcome was good and even compared to self tan or booths. However I would shower a little sooner instead of letting it sit overnight. And ask for help with the drying process :) and get tips on how to make it set better so it doesn't transfer onto clothing days after.
