I highly recommend going to Noble Salon, it is my go to for all of my hair needs from products to services and treatments. The salon itself is extremely clean. Robes are individually bagged, hand sanitizer stations are posted throughout the salon and surfaces are frequently sanitized. There are also dividers in between stations which is nice too! I also have to mention the fabulous receptionists who are always so kind and helpful! They greet you with a warm welcome and set the stage for an amazing experience! Now for the services, I always come in with an idea of what I want and my colorist Nicole and stylist Erica always exceed my expectations! Nicole assesses what I like / areas of my color I'd like to improve and then she works her magic with the formulas and techniques. Noble is by far the best salon in the area. If you are accustomed to top notch salons in NYC and are looking for the best here in the 'burbs, look no further. Transplants from Noelle after things started going down hill there a few years ago, the senior stylists here have an eye for style and desire for perfection, all while being warm, friendly, and fun to be around. Service is excellent here. The greeters are attentive and friendly and everyone goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable and special. I haven't had color done in a long time, but try Pia. She does a great job, is very knowledgable and experienced. Gary has been my stylist for many many years. I trust him implicitly. I highly recommend letting these stylists make suggestions and do something new. Gary has an amazing eye and will give you a style that truly suits you and flatters you. The space is beautiful and relaxing. Master stylists don't come cheap, so be prepared. You can get great deals on cuts by junior stylists, all of whom are being trained by the best. My hair is my one splurge because looking good and feeling good are really important to me. Strangers stop me to ask where I get my hair done all the time. I have tried cheaper salons and you absolutely get what you pay for. Cuts here last, and you can always come in for trim in between regular service if you need a touch up. read more

Have been going to Noble for years, following my stylist and colorist from the Noelle days after Noelle herself died and her salon went so downhill. Pia is a great colorist and Robert always cuts my hair perfectly. They listen to what I want but at times has challenged me to change it up a bit and they have been right. I am sure looking forward to the end of COVID when the blow dryers are back and the restrictions are gone. However, NOTABLY, this salon invested at the very beginning of the pandemic in a high-end expensive air filtration system. The chemicals I used to smell that are so ubiquitous at hair salons -- gone. No odors at all. I'm allergic to just about everything so this was a huge benefit. Those who do not like chemical aromas with their color and cut should try Noble for the air quality alone. I love Gina - she's been cutting my hair now for at least 15 years, maybe longer. I followed her from Noelle. And Ashley is the only colorist so far who's been able to keep my red from fading - it lasts 2-3 weeks now! Between them both it's like my beauty dream team... I moved out of state and now drive 8 hours north from Virginia Beach every 4 weeks to get my hair done. A stylist and colorist you can trust to make you feel beautiful and amazing is so rare! I LOVE this place. I was referred here buy a co-worker when I first moved to Stamford over 10 years ago. I've been going here ever since! The staff is friendly and attentive. Appointments are almost always on time, if not, within 5 minutes of scheduled time. I always get a great haircut. If there is one thing I would change it would be the cappuccino. They always offer a coffee or cappuccino. However, it's after I get my hair washed. How am I supposed to drink it while my hair is getting cut? Would be better if they offered it in the waiting area. Yes - if I'm "complaining" about the cappuccino, then you know that Noble is a great place to go for a haircut. :-) read more

It's taken me a few tries to find a salon and stylist that I like since moving to Stamford. When I found Deb at Noble Salon-- I didn't have to look any further! She always gives me a great cut and I feel so much better after seeing her! Deb always achieves the look I'm going for and it's easy to maintain afterwards. She's a pleasure to talk to and is very sweet...overall the place is very nice, clean, professionally run...and the staff is attentive and courteous, Jeff at the front desk and Jose who washes your hair. I love this salon - Coco for haircuts and Samantha for color. I actually live in midtown Manhattan and trek out every so often to get my hair done. It's a pain b/c I feel like the cost of the train and uber adds to the cost of beauty but I'm sure most women will agree that when you find a good cut or colorist, you'll trek to the ends of the earth not to deal with a hair related disappointment. The washers and front desk staff are quite friendly and sweet. They use good quality coloring supplies that don't damage my hair. Friendly staff. Cuts start out good. The staff is really friendly, however doesn't listen to what the customer wants. Has difficulty in admitting that angled bobs are not their specialty and proceeds to giving a square look or on subsequent cuts leaves the ends straggly. Once I was given a mullet and quickly chopped into my hair to camouflage the error. I was miserable. Yet the friendly atmosphere they created lead me back there for 2 years. My friends don't like their cuts either. They go there for convenience. Very pricey also. read more

It's a lovely, relaxing place for a haircut and cut/blow dry. Just don't get your highlights done there.. I'm a veteran at highlights and I know when they're done right. They're done right when the foils go right down to your scalp so that they don't look already grown out when you're leaving the salon. They're done right when their color is suble and has a gradient to it, the way they would if they were done by the sun. They're done right if they don't look like highlights! None of this happened for me at Noble. The colorist didn't even bother to come look at my hair after it was blown out, even though I was a first-time customer for her. All the lovely goblets of iced tea can't make up for a basic lack of skill and perfectionism when it comes to color. Consider going somewhere else for this particular service. read more

I really tried to like this place but just couldn't. I kept going back because they were friendly enough but after getting flat color and crooked cut too many times I just gave up. Another thing that bothers me about too many salons in the area is that it seems no matter what cut you ask for every woman walks out with the "OLD" 1990's Jennifer Anniston cut. It is so dated! This salon has many talented stylists and colorists. I frequented this salon for one year, about 4 visits including hair and makeup for my wedding. The services provided were good but not exemplary for the price. Each time I went for the same service, the price increased. The last time I visited for a cut, style and color was almost $ 300. Not including tip! And even more shocking is that YOU HAVE TO BLOW DRY YOUR OWN HAIR! So, not a full service salon. I am abandoning my girls with regret however, this is not a salon that is for someone with expectations that justify the prices. read more

Honestly the best hair experience I've ever received!! Nicola my colorist was a complete dream, she was so full of knowledge and advice I instantly was put to ease in her hands. Through every step of highlighting my hair she informed me of the changes and exactly what was going on so I felt very in the know and could appreciate the work she was doing. She was very patient and completely understand what I wanted alongside what my hair needed. Also the best hair washing I have ever received, not too rough but a real deep clean! I could not recommend her enough! Deb cut my hair better than anyone ever has, I've always had a pretty standard hair cut all one length with a few long layers. However she quickly persuaded me that with a couple of shorter layers my hair would have a better flow. She was 1000% right, she structured my hair well against my face shape and I have never received this many compliments! I will forever fully trust her opinion!! I went to Noble Salon as part of a bridal makeup trial. They never made it clear to me that on my wedding day, they would only book me if both hair AND makeup were done through them. Had I known this, I would've booked the hair trial as well. They refused to give me a refund for the makeup trial so I let it go but when I asked to book another makeup trial PLUS hair, they said no one would be available for my wedding day as originally planned. I feel like I've wasted my time & money on this makeup trial that has come to nothing. I felt the owner could have done more to satisfy a customer but there was no effort whatsoever on her part to rectify this situation. I will never go to this salon for this reason. read more

I have super fine hair with little to no curl. After years of every hair stylist cutting a bob for me, I finally found someone who could cut my hair so that it is fun, looks great for weeks and who changes it every time I go in so that I don't get bored with it. I always get compliments and since I am in the fashion business, that is important to me. My full disclosure is that I let Gary do what ever he wants almost every time. I've never been disappointed, and I travel an hour and a half just to see him. It is worth every penny! read more

So disappointing. On recommendations I went to Maureen for 1-step 2 months after having had a partial perm I loved. She assured me all would be ok because she was just doing roots. She did color and I got distracted on the phone with a family emergency. During that time, the sink washing girl was to rinse me out and instead she pulled it all through and it wasn't until the yanking and pulling was hurting that I thought something felt wrong. I asked her what she was doing and she didn't respond but she stopped and rinsed it out. My hair was torn, damaged and the perm area too was destroyed. Maureen had left before I was rinsed too so I went home, discovered more of the disaster in my own mirrors and called to then return to show her when next she was working. She denied noticing anything wrong or even different and it was painfully obvious to everyone else I'd seen. She had me given my money back -but that was all. No offers of remedies nor apology. I went to Noble on recommendation of a woman who's always put together, colors her hair with Maureen and has been going for years. But, she has short hair which I should have noted. I have been growing my hair out and have been thrilled that it is finally past my shoulders enough to do pretty up do's or a messy bun. Dressing up, wearing it down was looking really pretty. The cutting of it is without layers which I love. I'm trimming it regularly to keep it all one length. I'd just gotten to a place where I was loving its length and condition and I went to Maureen for a one-step color. I had been one-stepping myself via esalon.com and am really pleased with the result. Maureen told me though that there was a "laddering" in the color - meaning that when I put the one-step on, I overlap. She added that it is impossible for anyone but a professional not to overlap. I was in such a good place with my hair, that I decided to pay the $120 for the one-steps from now on and really do it right. Maureen agreed that not pulling the color through was the safest thing to do for 2 reasons - it wasn't necessary, and I'd had a partial perm on the underhairs three weeks prior which I loved and didn't want to touch. She remarked on how thick and healthy it looked since she'd seen my in September for highlights. (this was a week ago in Jan). She suggested a clear glaze after the one-step for conditioning and shine. I thought great. Then, after painting the one-step,and finishing the timing on it, she disappeared. I didn't see her again. At the sink with Janet, I wasn't paying attention until I felt a lot of pull on my hair and it sounded like she was raking a comb through it. I asked her what she was doing, she didn't answer, but she stopped and rinsed. Once I was all rinsed out, she put a new towel around me and showed me the self-blow-dry station. (I'd not been offered nor asked if I wanted a blow-dry). Rather than blow-dry, I put on my clothes and left. I didn't get to see the result until home. When it dried, it was all a uniform color (obviously pulled through) and my hair felt like straw. I called to speak to Maureen the next day and was told she wasn't in 'til Monday at 10:30. I went in Monday at 10:30 not having done anything with it, but mourn it each time I passed a mirror, or reached back and felt it. I told Maureen my hair was ruined and I was at a loss for what had happened. I told her I didn't think it could have been her because she'd just painted it and left - but what could the sink girl have done? "Look at it - it's a different head of hair!" She denied it and said she never remembered it being different. Then I learned she's an owner - so there was no recourse at all. Advice - take a photo of your hair before you get it done. For me to get my hair condition and length back to where it was when I went in, I will have to cut a minimum of 3-4 inches off and still, all the rest of my hair is different lengths. Maureen, if she ever spoke to Janet about it and learned that she had mistakenly "pulled it through" never called me back to tell me she was sorry and that that had happened. She never offered me anything but to say that it was in my imagination. I've lived with it for a week now and the mourning hasn't stopped. I'm so setback and disappointed. read more
