I've had lash extensions for over 6 years and have had them from many technicians all over the world. The lash extensions from this salon is the worst I have ever had. Within 12 hours lashes started falling off and now 2 days later there are very few lashes left. I'm very disappointed to say the least. My technician placed her phone next to my head which buzzed constantly and she would stop her work and reply to her text while putting on my lashes which was very unprofessional. I tried to resolve several times, instead of working with me, I was bullied on FB by the owner,my phone number blocked and no response to completing the service which I had pre paid via membership. All because she wanted to charge me for a "no show". I had two reminders one of which never mentioned a location, the other text (which I had never opened) did mention La Cantera. I had NEVER been late or missed an appointment. There had never been an issue with my monthly payment and I am a fair tipper! Just all around bad business, I suggest you go somewhere that appreciates their customers. read more

Subpar service, Terrible ownerships. I had been going to them for 3 years and when they made a mistake the owner threatened to call the cops and my command team (such a joke, they don't know how Military works but whatever). The owner displayed such unprofessionalism with me after sending her so many clients and a lot of business that i was in total awe. She threatened me and that's not taken lightly by me at att but doesn't set a good tone for a "business owner". The shop isn't the same as it used to be but i held on out of loyalty. Furthermore all of the estheticians suck with the exception of Christiana. Don't ever see the newbies nor the owner! They have even admitted that they were properly trained. The best thing they had was my long time tech who left them because of the owner. Save your money, time, and patience. AmaZing Lash studio and MinkBlink as so much better. They don't limit you on the number of the lashes either and their prices are so much more reasonable. Only reason I constantly went to LB is for Christianna. SAVE YOUR TIME BECAUSE THE OWNER's action were ETHICAL! And honestly there are better businesses in San Antonio who do a much better job and for a more reasonable price. check out the other reviews and we don't even know eachother! When I came to San Antonio, I thought I was getting top notch service and a good price for my eyelash extensions at this one spa. Well, that didn't last long since the employees at this salon were quitting left & right to include the person I was seeing for my last extensions along with the outrageous price I was charged and the quality just wasn't there! So, I got referred by a friend to the Vanity Room Lash Bar!! I made my appointment with Meghan; let me tell you, she is one of the best technicians they have at this location! She cares about her customers and their needs! You see, I'm "kinda sorta" a special needs person; allergy issues, asthmatic, on oxygen & quite a bit over weight due to a steroid regiment that my doctor has me on. Even though I have these issues, I still want to look good & let me tell you, Meghan does an amazing job on my eyelashes! Meghan takes the time to ensure that comfort is 1st & foremost. Meghan takes me on a ride with the table, gets me a stool to make it easier for me to get on & off the table & she has humor!! She even lets me fall asleep to the point, I wake myself up with my snoring. I know that's not lady like but some of us do snore; Meghan has me so relaxed that it's only natural! I tried coming into this location twice after getting my hair done in the same center. Once no one was present so I left. I thought it was really strange that no one was there, not even a worker while they were open. The second time there was no one at the desk again. This time I walked to the side and looked into the room where they do lashes (one large room which seems weird too) and after waiting a couple of minutes a teenage girl wandered up looking bored and didn't even greet me. I asked about packages and she handed me a brochure. I asked a few questions which she sort of answered and I asked about training of their technicians. If you're touching my eyes with glue, I hope you have had a lot of specialized training. She said they didn't have any special training but we're just beauticians. And acted like this was a stupid question. In spite of this, I had seen positive reviews and it's convenient for me being by my house and the place I get my hair and nails done. I called one other time and got a different bored sounding girl who said they couldn't fit me in for two weeks. Both times I went in there was NO ONE there so that seemed really odd too. Needless to say, I never had lashes done there and went to Amazing Lash instead. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more

My second appointment and I wasn't pleased with the refill of my lashes at $55. I had Christianna and it took her an hour and half to I guess put 25 lashes on. Then there was a girl laid out on my guess was a futon sofa playing on her phone as if it was a bed knowing that there is limited seating to begin with. My first refill appointment with Kirsi was much better and my lashes was much fuller and noticeable. Now I'm going to have spend extra money by going back to Lash Studio in the Houston Galleria area. I've been going to them since March and I've never spent more than an hour there. They are quicker, have individual suites where it's more private and you can't here constant chatter the whole time you're relaxing. I won't be going back. UPDATE: So after only 3 days all of the refill lashes fell out that was done by Christianna. After leaving three messages over two days I finally received a return call. Instead of offering an apology, refund or having the original tech Kirsi fix my lashes I was told there was nothing they could do because they didn't feel comfortable servicing me because of my comments on Yelp. I paid money for a service that I clearly expressed my dissatisfaction to the tech before I left and got only excuses. So given that you refuse to rectify the matter then yes I'm going to blast your business in all social media. Second Update: After going to another lash place here in SA to fix the problems with my lashes I was informed that the reason why my refills were falling off so quickly was because they weren't installed correctly. So to the owners comment about me having to request a more experienced tech. Well if it had been noted on your website the level of experience of each of your technicians I would have done so. My suggestion is that you price your services based on the level of experience of your employees if they are incapable of providing equal quality of service. If I knew in advice I'd be gambling with my money I would have rather go to a casino...at least I would know the risk upfront...you dig? read more

This place is great! I've been getting my lashes done for the past couple years in Cali and Seattle. Then I moved here and first went to Amazing Lash Studio. (They weren't great). I tried out this place and I was very happy. The girl who did my lashes wasn't too friendly in comparison to the other lash girls, but she made my lashes look great! My biggest complaint with some places is their adhesive they use is crap quality because within a week more than half the lashes fall out. But this place is fabulous! This is one of the best places I've gone to in the past couple years. I'll definitely be a regular here. :) read more

Called for an appt and got in the same day, I was so excited. I showed up and it became very clear that I was being helped my someone who wasn't properly trained. The owner asked if she knew what size rod to use, my technician replied "I think so.." needless to say my lashes ended up kinked and looked ridiculous. Thankfully the owner texted me a few days later and offered to fix it for free. I came in a second time, only to have the SAME technician who messed them up in the first place. She struggled though re doing my lashes, then the owner came over and rushed through redoing what my technician had just done, because she had her own client waiting for her. They looked a little better after the second time.. but still very kinked in areas and they look insane unless I don't drench them in mascara as soon as I get out or the shower. They look so kinked sometimes that I've been very insecure and frustrated I paid $75 for something I can't stand. I'd much rather have my straight lashes... very disappointed read more

Yes I've been to many other lash places but this is by far the best one with the best lash specialists I've found in 4 years. Before Christianna I used to bounce around from salon to salon trying to find the right person who knew what they were doing. Only to end up spending way too much money and being so unhappy with the results. Vanity Room is the best place for lashes that I know of and believe me I've been to more than several. I took my daughter to Lash habit on 7-14-18 & had the worse experience ever. The appointment was at 9am we got there a bit early so we waited until the owner arrived to open the door. The lady at the front asked our name & said "she" will be here shortly. We weren't greeted with a hello which I found very odd & rude. "She" came to the front & had us follow her back never once introducing herself. Fist time for my daughter so she had a lot of questions & "she" seemed very annoyed. I asked if "she" minded if I watched & "she" said ok. As time went on "she" just acted more & more annoyed. I told my daughter I would be back & I left. I came back about 30 minutes later & "she" was finishing up. I asked about a couple of bare spots that looked like gaping hole & "she" mumbled something & added a couple of lashes & said she was done. "She" started to remove the tape & ripped some lashes out in the process which made my daughters eye water. "She grabbed a tissue & said they can't get wet for 24 hrs not I'm sorry it hurt. My daughter said she liked them but then looked closer in the mirror & said I thought it would be more dramatic. "She" didn't acknowledge it. We paid $175 & left. Within 10 minutes down the road lashes started to fall out. No rubbing of the eyes just lashes falling on her cheek. By midnight over 20 lashes fell out & in morning a pillow filled with lashes. My daughter spoke with the owner Wendy. Wendy didn't believe my daughter & accused my daughter of causing it. My daughter assured her she took care of the lashes & followed the instructions. Wendy said she wouldn't refund her money as she won't unless she has had 5 complaints. My daughter said she would go to her FBOOK page & put her review of the place & Wendy said she would block her. My daughter stated she would file a complaint with the BBB & put a review on YELP. What poor & lack of customer service. What business owner tells you they will bock you to keep the negative comments off her page. Wendy needs to make it right & refund my daughters money. Why would we let her re-do it. She already blotched the wedding photos why let her do the same for the wedding . RUN from this place & CANCEL your appointments this place is awful. By the way we still don't know the tech name so "she" it is. I have called & texted many times asking for Wendy to return my call & still no return call. read more
