I paid for a makeup tutorial, which I desperately needed ( I truly have no clue how to properly apply makeup now that I'm a bit older). Suzy is the owner, and she did my makeup while teaching me all of the important details. She highlighted which products were best, and how to apply them with the right tools. Tools are very important, I learned! At the end my $55 included makeup, which was a bonus, since I didn't know that. I absolutely LOVED the way I looked!!! I want to leave a good review, honestly. Cute salon near my home. 3 weeks ago I had an appointment for lash extensions, I will not name the technician. She was very sweet and professional. I did not find out until I was on the table taped up that she was new at extensions. Turned out I needed a full set with removal of older extensions. I was on the table for 4 hours and 15 minutes...! This is not an exaggeration. She apologized profusely and thanked me for my patience. My husband actually started to walk to the salon because he was worried about me. If I had known going into the appointment that my tech was practicing I could have made an informed decision. But like I said... she was very sweet. We did miss a dinner reservation, though. A discount on the time spent for her practice would have been nice. Fast forward 3 weeks... trying to make an appointment for a fill with someone a little more experienced. I have called.. left a Message. Next day, text and a call. Nothing. No response. The vibe of this salon is great. I would really like to make nail and lash appointments. I am SO satisfied! So Yelp accidentally mixed up my appointment dates. Not really linked. And the staff was so accommodating I needed to come in a week later (today) to get my lashes done by Valerie and it was AWESOME. Easy chatting and not uncomfortable at all. I could tell she knew what she was doing and it was a huge relief since this was my first time doing this and for the amount of money I was a bit nervous. Horrible customer service. I booked an appt for 12/16 at 9am using their online booking system. I received an email right away letting me know they got my appt., confirming the date & time. Next a 2nd email asked me to confirm, which I did. I arrived on12/16 at 8:55am. The lash tech was not there but the owner was. She asked if I was here for Josie. She said there was a problem with the online system because it always double booked Josie. She said they called me Friday. She said I could wait for the lash tech. I do not understand why they never fixed the online booking problem being that they knew about the problem. The owner then ignored me & started talking about her personal issues to another client. I interrupted to tell her I didn't have any missed calls from them or anyone. I didn't think this was professional at all. The owner made me feel worse. Being the owner, she should've taken responsibility, aplogized or offered a solution. The lash tech never showed up while I was there. She was late. More unprofessionalism. ** The online booking system requires you to enter your credit card info. It says you'll be billed if you cancel within 24 hours because their time is important. Well so is mine. I actually showed up for nothing. They didn't offer to credit me for my time but they sure woulda billed me if I failes to show. Bad experience. read more

A little back story before I started going to Las Ink. I purchased a Groupon for another company and because I didn't know the ins and outs of lashes, glue and application I thought she did a great job. Went up North for a few days and my eyes started itching and burning. My eyes were so watery I could barely close them. I thought it was my allergies until I went to a lash place in Oakland and the lash technician told me "do not go back to the place that originally did your lashes". After talking to her and the dangers of someone not trained to apply lashes I decided to pay a lot of money to have them removed and apply fresh lashes. Came home to Visalia and started the hunt for a legitimate lash establishment. This is how I came by Lash Ink and Corrine. She is a lash expert. Uses top of the line lashes. The glue she uses has not once irritated my eyes. She takes her time and I always leave happy and feeling beautiful. I am so grateful I found them and glad they offer a service with expertise and not just to make money off people. I love the fact that if need to change a predated appointment and she is not available, there is another girl that can fill in.
