I would love to go to the Ulta Benefit Brow Bar if I knew I could depend on getting the same brow wax every time I went in, but I can't. It's unfortunate because they are supposed to have a tried-and-true method. The Ulta store in Hanford, in particular, is a waste of my time. I literally walk into the Vietnamese salon in the adjacent parking lot, pay less money, get in the same day, and get a decent eyebrow wax. I was a bridesmaid in one of my best friends wedding. Amy did not specifically work on my hair but her assistant or partner did (I don't know her name). I told the stylist that my hair hardly holds curls but does hold well with this random bed head wand that I have and I always use. The stylist replied with a super rude tone and said "I don't use wands and I trust my products"; I respected that and trusted she would take care of me as I was spending well over $100 for a few hours of hair.... She did not. My hair didn't come out anything like I hoped AND the curls almost immediately began to fall out. I asked her to redo it and she tried but was already cutting into time for the other bridesmaids. I also (regretfully) mentioned somewhere that my hair had fallen out a bit after giving birth and the stylist then proceeded to use this against me as to why my style wasn't coming out properly. I was beyond offended because she never would've said that (to salvage her horrible work) had I not mentioned that to her to begin with. Mind you, Amy was already on her 3rd client in the bridal party and I was STILL being worked on by her partner. I couldn't bare taking up anymore time or causing a scene so I regretfully agreed to what she had done at that point and went to the bathroom to fix my hair with my own wand at which point they barely held as there was so much product in my hair. At the end of the day, it wasn't MY day and the bride herself looked absolutely stunning. I'm sure Amy's/Roses work is great but her unwillingness to work with me after knowing how unhappy and offended I was with her partner is super disappointing. She also mentioned to me that there is a contract signed with the bride that there is absolutely NO money back after the wedding and all services are final. She said I should've said something the day of but on what planet would ANYone cause a scene or dig into precious time on the wedding day? I just am not that person and would never ruin someone else's day like that. So whether you're a bride or part of the bridal party please be aware of this.

They called me back after a few minutes and she got right into it. Pain level wasn't bad and before I knew it she was done. She only lasted a few minutes and gave me a mirror to look. There was literally so many hairs left you couldn't even tell I got waxed. I asked her if it was normal to have so many hairs and she tried to take off a little bit more. Sadly I still had to go home and pluck out about 30 hairs from each side. Pretty steep prices for me to pay some one and then go home and finish it myself. First and last time I go.
