You might surprised that you'll be seeing "a lash guy" but when you see the results, you'll be thrilled you did! Marcus is a professional sweetheart who fully customized your look. If you just see him once or twice, you'll be fully satisfied but if you make him a habit, he'll explore different looks with you. I've been seeing him after finding him with a Groupon for about a year. I've had different extensions from others before but I've never gotten more compliments than I have this year and I wear glasses! Thankfully, I have zero regrets. Marcus was professional and thorough from the moment I spoke with him to book my appointment. Because my lashes have thinned out drastically with age, I wanted extensions. However I didn't want anything dramatic and unbelievable. He asked me what I wanted and I told him based on his reviews, I would trust him to do what he thought was best FOR ME!! Marcus did not disappoint. I love my lashes so much! I have Marcus saved in my phone as " Marcus the Lash Magician". Yes that good. Here's my 5 favorite things about getting my lashes done by Marcus 1) I have never felt more confident about how I look without make up on. I have red hair and my eyebrows and lashes are almost non existent without boybrow or mascara on. I wear less makeup and pay more attention to my skin care now! 2) He blends all different lengths to make the lashes look as natural as possible! I don't ever look like chunks are missing. Yes I notice that they shed out over the two weeks, but that's normal and they still look good. 3) Everyone always asks me where I get them done and compliments how soft/ natural they look 4) I've never seen anyone with lash extensions that I like better than mine ‍ bold statement I know ha 5) Cheesy but I love my hour of relaxation every 2 weeks for a fill. When I finally got him via text, he wasn't available until "the week of the 20th, with open availability"... the 20th is a Thursday and weeks away from my initial call. I was just ending an 8-month hiatus from lashes due to a previous bad experience with a different lash service. I was referred to Marcus by a friend. I could not have been more pleased. Marcus was able to tailor the look to my eye shape and personality. He knew I wanted my eyes to pop without being overdramatic. I could not have been more pleased. This gives me the ability to reduce the amount of makeup I wear - thus giving new meaning to my natural look. I have received so many compliments. Some even think these are my natural lashes. If I could give 0 stars I would. I had a horrendous experience with the eyelash extension application from Marcus. I did not receive the service that was purchased. I paid for mink eyelash extensions, but instead received silk eyelash extensions. Additionally, I am not sure that he is a certified lash technician or esthetician. I have had numerous lash extensions before, this time was extremely painful. It's been my experience to usually sit in the chair for anywhere from 90mins to 2-hours to receive extensions, but not with Marcus. He was done in about 45mins, but that's probably because he took a number of shortcuts such as gluing multiple of my natural lashes to one extension to save him time and perhaps he was in a rush since he was an hour behind. When he was done, a couple of my top eyelashes were glued to the bottom ones and he had to use tweezers to separate the bottom from the top on my right eye. Lashes immediately started falling off within the first few days. I wound up having to eventually get my eyelash extensions removed because my eyes were incredibly itchy, and I was noticing build-up on the lash lid after a few days-- in addition to not being able to withstand the pain I had been dealing with since receiving them. The licensed esthetician that removed the extensions had to do two applications of removal because Marcus used so much glue on my natural lashes. I had thick chunks of glue on my natural lashes. Again, something I have never experienced. Moreover, he applied the silk extensions so close to the roots of my natural lashes, that they were practically glued to my eyelids. He also used lash extensions that were too thick and too long for my type of lashes. Icing on the cake, he also used my forehead as his canvas and laid out the extensions on my forehead and when he removed the surgical tape, he wound up taking some skin off, I suspect because there may have been some of the extension adhesive on the surgical tape. All the other times I have ever had extensions, I have never had the person applying them use my forehead as their canvas, they have always had their surgical table or some other table they use to grab the extensions. I have generally had favorable experiences with receiving eyelash extensions, but this one was a nightmare. I would stay away from this vendor if you care about your eyelashes and more importantly the health of your eyes. read more
