They start out with showing you your scalp (mine was dry and also has a lot of build-up) before diving in. There were a lot of things involved in the facial and I can't even begin to describe all the things she did to my hair but it was all just lovely and the massaging of my face, scalp, neck, shoulders, and even a bit on my arms and legs was just so wonderful.
