When I say this is a dive bar THIS IS A DIVE BAR. It's a little hole in the wall located in Union Market and you can easily miss it. I came here for a first date that kept going after the other place we went to nearby was closing up for the night. We ran into her friends she recommended we get these Jell-O shots which already was a plus for me considering that most bars don't do Jell-O shots! And what's even better is there's an option where you can add Pop Rocks into them! Never in my 30 years of life did I ever consider adding Pop Rocks into a Jell-O shot but wow! It was incredible! Service has a bartender or two behind working the counter. The drinks are really cheap which you can't say much for DC area bars. I have walked past this bar at least 50 times and half the time I'm rushing somewhere else and others they are too busy too accommodate my party but this past Friday was our time to shine! We arrived just minutes past happy hour (we will be back for those Teeny Tiny Tini's) and the place was poppin! It is a dive bar in the heart of union market with its own twist that makes you feel right at home! I snagged a table with a few partygoers who had been going hard for hours for no other reason other than it was Friday! We started with an espresso Martini and the Perfect Gentleman both made by a friendly bartender while I waited I chatted it up with two friends at the bar who felt like my long lost friends (one of which actually knew my friend, DC is in fact a small town) and I admired the decor, the various sports playing on the TVs and the tons of Jell-O shots. We stayed for two rounds both of which were made to perfection my friend switched it up and ordered an Old Fashioned. We chatted it up with a few other people who sat with us, because our first people left. We then called it a night after the disco party in the restroom -hey what can I say? I went here with my friends to celebrate a few drinks for Saint Patrick's Day. It's a really lively dive bar if you enjoy just that atmosphere. Fit the bill to watch a game and enjoy some drinks with friends. Service was mostly friendly and they were great about switching on the game we wanted to watch. Beer selection and drinks were great. There was only one bartender working the entire place for most of the afternoon and then another guy joined her in the evening. So she had her hands full but kept things moving. It was nice to have some food but don't expect much. It's all just handed to you or cooked in a toaster oven behind the bar as far as I can tell. She was swamped and we didn't want to trouble her too much so we got some sort of chips and dip and it was literally just a small personal bag of potato chips and a plastic container of dip she pulled out of the fridge. That was fine, actually, but could've used better chips or more of them. I guess for munchie food to go along with your drinks it's fine. Other than that, there are also plenty of fancier places to visit if you walk around Union Market, so this is a nice distraction from the more pretentious places around the corner. 5 Stars because I love dive bars and we need to keep these places in business before somebody else puts in another spot serving you a $20 Mint Julep. read more

They have some dart boards in the back and its surprisingly big spacious for how medium sized it is. Big long bar and a few scattered tables throughout. Bar staff is super friendly. But the place was loud and filled with backwards baseball cap bros. The cheap Ms Pacman was nice. The guy tending bar was not. He aggressively argued with my friend after she called him out for being a jerk to the woman he was working with. It was hard to have a conversation because the music was so loud. And did I mention it's a FAKE dive bar. It looked like the chimera of a dive bar. Dive bar sans dive. We wondered if we'd stumbled into the favorite dive bar of the denizens of the Uncanny Valley. The bartenders kinda seemed like they either hated their lives or hated us, or both. Not much to do other than stand around and talk. We found 2 seats at the bar @8p on a Thursday. I had a henken zero in a can and water came in hard plastic green cups. Music was being played from an employees Spotify account and was a great blend of old and new hip hop! There was a dart board where ppl could get darts from the bartenders. THE BLACK AND WHITE: The bae and I were out on a Friday and happen to hear about this bar that served fizzy old fashioned from a tap! Turns out to be Last Call Bar and we were in the Union Market area. The interior is a shelled out building with the bar, a few tables, and darts in the back. The alcohol prices are what you're really there for. The fizzy old fashioned tasted like pure alcohol, good if you're trying to get turnt. I didn't know that DC Brau offered a hard seltzer so we had to try that, pretty good however I prefer my white claws. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall, really great ambience with the dive bar culture. Spent $9 with DC brau hard seltzer and the old fashioned on tap. Very affordable and can't wait to be back read more

We went on a Wednesday and it was really pleasant! There were less than 15 people there but it was nice to hangout and talk with back ground music. Bartenders were amazing!
