The owner, Kayla Denney, refuses to return money. She pointed the family to her attorney who also refuses to return calls and emails. Rural T.A.N.K Rescue is no longer allowed to sell dogs in Massachusetts. Several other families in town were sold very ill dogs. Other Massachusetts residents complained about similar occurrences of very ill dogs from Denney's business. Think twice about buying dogs from Rural T.A.N.K Rescue.

Upon research I determined the Rural Tank positive experiences far outweigh the negativity. Please note the brunt of the negativity is coming from one source that is no longer connected to Rural Tank. I have been personally contacted by this person who felt it was her job to warn me and tell me I should take my dog to the vet. ?!?!?!?! My dog was at the vet 2 days after her arrival for a complete check up and I don't need an angry rando stranger with a vendetta to seek me out like a stalker and lecture me on caring for my FAMILY. It's off putting and telling of the nature of this mission she is on. Contacting strangers multiple times with links to negative social media groups and pet care instructions is not normal behavior. It's harassment. My experience with Rural Tank, Kayla, and my puppy's Texas foster, was 100% on the up and up. Because of my dogs young age and size she was not fully vaccinated (other than parvo pre transport) nor spayed and I knew this going in. She arrived with a packet containing veterinary records and a microchip. I cannot speak for everyone's experience but please do your own objective research...there are far more positive stories of happy families and happy pets thanks to Rural Tank...literally hundreds upon hundreds on the RT private Facebook group. Private because...note story above on rando stranger contacting me and posting on my personal social media accounts. For some folks, boundaries are difficult. Did I worry before my pup arrived...YES!! I'm not stupid, bad things happen and animals can get sick despite care. The important message is no regrets here. We love our lil'nugget and are grateful to all connected to Rural Tank who helped her find her way into our hearts and home. This is our experience. Now I'm going to go back to putting my time and good energy into enjoying my amazing HEALTHY AND HAPPY pup. Wishing you all happy adopting and future cuddles. (Update 1/28/24) Wow...now this same person is contacting my husband to spread her vendetta. Yes...this is the normal behavior of a sane person. She should be GRATEFUL that this dog found a home such as ours. I had responded to her that our puppy is healthy, has veterinary care and no issues. That should be enough to leave us alone. Yet she continued to harp at me until I had to 'go there'. That her only goal is to harp and harass, is all you need to know. She cannot accept that there are more successful and happy adoptions out of Rural Tank than there are negative. Still grateful for this beautiful sassy soul I get to love. PALS is actually a loving caring place with many great new pets needing homes…read more Anybody who doesn't Know that after a "hysterectomy" a pet needs pain meds...! Well... Because PALS people Are nice, they do not try to embarrass folks that come to this nearly free clinic by saying, "you need to buy..." if people had money to burn, they would be at a private vet! They give a long lasting pain shot to dogs during surgery. These folks do an awesome job. I got my lab, Downtown Abbey here. She was found as a pup in downtown Corpus by the big church on the hill. She was not just fed and sheltered. She was given love, walks, cuddles. As are All the pets there. Various Girl Scouts etc come in several days a week for love and walks. Pets and cuddles. Abbey would not be the happy go lucky girl she is, knowing how to sit and stay without having had good care. House trained, too. I love Abbey and PALS!

I went to pick her up and asked the lady there if my dog would need pain medication and her response was "oh to late the vet left" I was disgusted! We got home and my dog was crying not being able to lay down or she'd cry even more. The incision looks like a little kid did it it's long and jagged up. And the lady seemed to be in a hurry to get me out of there. She didn't even take the time explain how the heart worm test went or if they had already given her pain medicine and she didn't tell me if they gave my dog her rabies shot till I asked her. This place is uncalled for this place is a joke! and should be closed down permanently!!! I am beyond disgusted by this place. They have -100 love for pets!!! I regret taking my dog there and if I could turn back time and take her somewhere else I WOULD. I will go on every review app possible and warn pet owners what a horrible place this is. One dog stopped and looked at me, stood up on his hind legs and that was it! Charlie had picked me; it was instant love. The animals are cared for here, they are all in good health and happy. She is caring and so is her family. Charlie and I are best friends and love grows every day with him.

My poor kitten was traumatized when I brought him home. I called plenty of times to voice my concerns and no call back. Never again if you truly care about your pet trust me they are not that cheap , so just take your pets elsewhere. The Gulf Coast Humane Society (GCHS) is a shining beacon of hope for Corpus' homeless pet…read morepopulation. Without it, there would be a many stray cat and dog without any chance of going on to have a better quality of life. Firstly, the Humane Society: The Humane Society is a non-profit organization with a mission of helping neglected and abused animals. They have a good cause, and for that, I support them as a whole. I have looked into their mission, and they are pretty straightforward, without any weird ideological angle or catch. I am very biased towards the Humane Society, as that is where I adopted my household firstborn, Pinto (my English/American Bulldog / Dogue De Bordeaux mix). I will give you some backstory on him, just to give you an idea of the lengths they will go to for their rescues. Pinto was found at about 10 weeks of age by a construction worker in Southeast Houston. He was emaciated, worm-riddled and covered with mange. The kindhearted man brought him to the Houston Humane Society, where they diligently treated his skin condition, and brought him to great health. Now, the GCHS is just as great a branch as any Humane Society location. However, you must understand that Corpus has a real problem with neglected, homeless, and roaming pets. Not that this is a problem exclusive to this city, but if you lived here, you would notice that it is pronounced. There are many ways to support the Humane Society. You can volunteer, donate pet food (try to make sure it is "grain free" please) or blankets to your local one, or you can also donate directly to them. They make it very easy to setup one-time or recurring donations directly from your bank account if you wish to do that. It is the time of year to be thoughtful and considerate. Perhaps you want to give to a good cause. This would be one of them, IMO. Also, if you are in the market for a new companion, consider adopting one from here. Adopt, don't shop!
