This dog weighs 9 pounds and does have a lot of hair. But seriously, they charged me an extra $20 for a "brush out". Btw, he was not matted at all. I feel that $93.34 (this does include the tip) is extremely high. It also took them 4 hours, so I'm assuming he was crated for a very long period of time as well. I will not be going there for any further grooming services.

Gave him a chance to stretch his legs =) The two employees we interacted with were both very friendly and helpful. We ended up buying a relaxation treat and a cookie for our Fred. The cookie he has had many times in the past, but I specifically inquired on the relaxation treat. We hesitate to give him anything herbal or medicated for calming purposes because he is so small and we're afraid of him having a bad reaction. The employee said that the owner actually gives the product to her own dog and has raced about its effectiveness. It had been raining off and on all day which meant our dog was in panic mode. I'm not sure if the product actually did anything, but hopefully it helped him some. Definitely didn't affect him negatively. Anyway. The store was nice and clean and well-stocked with a wide variety of items. They had a couple of cats up for adoption, and they had a groomer on site. We've been to the Petsense store in Gulfport, MS and had a good experience there. Equally pleasant experience at this location. I wish they had more locations around Texas.

I purchased a hedgehog…read moreabout 2 months ago from here, spending $300 for the hedgehog and around $200 for supplies for him. When i saw the hedgehog, he had darkness and a little bit of swollenness around one of his eyes (i attached a photo from the very same day i got him), which i asked the manager lady "is that normal? is he ok?" and i was told yes, that he is a year old and perfectly healthy. They were wrong. Took him to a vet and found out he had a tumor behind that eye and was definitely not okay. He passed away on me after two months, after my son got deeply attached to him. All i can say from experience, this place sells sick/unhealthy animals. I do not recommend coming here. And for the amount of money i spent, i am pissed.
