    Mint Carpet Cleaning

    Mint Carpet Cleaning

Today, we had our carpets cleaned by Mint Carpet Cleaning. We needed a move out/move in cleaning…read morewith special attention to the carpets, high traffic areas, and areas where it seemed things were spilled/spots. We had approximately 1,500 sq ft cleaned, 3 bedrooms, office, high traffic areas, dining area and living room combined, 2 hallways. We received a couple of quotes from different companies in Missoula. We are looking for a move-in/move-out carpet cleaning. Spencer/Aubrey (owners) offered an actual walk-through of the residence instead of just giving a price over the phone. With one call, I was able to explain the situation and was able to schedule a walk-through of property. We found this an important step more than just the rough quote of a price to avoid being the 'nickle and dime game' when they arrive due to bigger size, more spots, etc. Spencer arrive for the walk-through, measured the rooms, and then provided an 'all in estimate'. Now in full disclosure, there were more than the other two (2) estimates but here is why we went with Mint. First, my gut just told me that for the condition of the carpets, I really did believe additional costs were going to be added. Additionally, the face-to-face walk-through really did help. We had one (1) of the estimates in hand, so I was able to ask Spencer about their process, what it entailed, so I could do an apples to apples comparison with all three (3) companies. Spencer reached out via phone, ahead of our appointment and said they finished early, could they come now - 15 minutes away - YES. Spencer took the time to walk me through the Mint Cleaning trucks and everything that it included. Vacuuming all of the carpet before they started, just to make sure that they were starting from scratch. Standard operating procedure even if it was done before. One of the other things we really liked was the use of agitation in the process until of just the standards wands that you can get when you rent the machine from Home Depot/Albertsons. Deeper cleaning, better for spot removal, and hopefully a cleaner carpet. Finally, everything is self contained in their truck. They are able to control a constant heat for the water to help with cleaning that relying on putting water in a machine or pulling from your hot water heater, so that the same temp is used throughout. Finally, as we walked around the truck, he also mentioned fans that they put in the rooms after cleaning to help with drying, even more important during the Winter months. We can keep the fans overnight provided that we return them the next day. After reviewing the three (3) estimates, my 'gut' because the fear of add on costs, we selected Mint Cleaning. We were able to schedule a service for the carpets within the week. Day of cleaning - again received a call from Spencer that they finished their morning job a little early and could they start ours, if not no worries. Absolutely, come on over. The entire process of approximately 1,500 square feet took around XX hours. The carpets are now set to dry with fans. The house smells great - smells clean not like a bunch of chemicals. Not sure what they use but the house smells great - did I mention that it smells clean! Final thoughts: Would we recommend - YES. Would we use them again? YES. Did they do what they said they would do and in the timeframe agreed upon? YES! THANK YOU MINT CLEANING!! completely understand why they charge a bit more. Was it worth it - yes, money well spent. I am willing to pay more for top notch customer support, meeting and exceeding time commitments, taking and answering questions (and in this case, an actual show and share with the truck walk-through), and then the final products - the carpets look brand new and we are starting on solid ground for our next set of renters. We want them to see that we care about the property and their well being, hopefully that translates to them caring about the property too. I will come back after the carpet drys and add before and after! THANK YOU MINT CLEANING! Finally, I will come back and add pictures of before and after to show the results. Cheers

Customer service is 10/10! Cleaning was done beautifully and efficient...especially for the price!read more

Our house…read morecaught on fire in early-Dec 2014 and the kitchen area was a total loss from the flames while the breakfast and dining area, along with the rest of the house, had extensive heat and smoke damage. Not pretty and by looking at it, we weren't certain how it was going to look when everything was done. From the time Matt and Bill came by and met us and assessed the damage until the project was complete, they were professional, clear and concise about everything they would be doing in order to get the job done and get it done right. Matt did a thorough job of explaining all the steps that would be taken in getting the house restored as well as the insurance process, of which he's very knowledgeable. The guys worked directly with our insurance adjuster explaining what was needed in order to get the house repaired and restored so that we didn't have to deal with that part of it. And they always kept us in the loop on the communications between them and the adjuster. Any questions we had, Matt and Bill were able to answer. And they were always accessible. We could call anytime with questions and if we had to leave a message, they would call right back. These guys, along with their talented subcontractors, did an INCREDIBLE job at cleaning, repairing and restoring everything! Bill did a fabulous job at overseeing the project and ensuring that everything was done on time and completed to the highest standards. The house is beautiful and smoke-smell free! If one is ever faced with water or fire damage to their home or any building, we would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Five Valleys Restoration & Cleaning.

Be very careful with this company. They showed up to our home for a small leak caused by some…read morefaulty caulk on a roof penetration from another contractor. Initially they came off as very professional. They tore out our dry wall on our ceiling to address the leak, removed the bat and spray foam insulation down to the sheathing (even cut a wire for our exterior lighting that they needed to hire an electrician to fix.) They found a small amount of moisture but 0 mold. They removed the joist blocking that separates the outside from the inside of the house above the wall and loosely filled it in with a piece of bat insulation. Then they got busy and left it like that for a few weeks. Mind you, this was in the middle of winter. When they returned, they realized they created mold in that spot in our brand new home but did not seem at all perturbed about it. They did remove the mold, and then they made a crude attempt of using canned great stuff spray foam insulation as a replacement for the correct foam insulation that is supposed to be, and was originally, there to eliminate our dew point. We noticed the poorly done job of insulation and they were instructed to chip it all out by their manager. After that, they found out the mold spread further up the bay. This resulted in them needing to tear out more dry wall etc (but did eliminate the mold they caused and dried out the area) and eventually they admitted they were losing money on our job and canceled our contract and left it as is. This was all drawn out for months, during which time they would try pointing the finger elsewhere. Something that should have been a quick fix turned into a total nightmare for us to get figured out. Now we are left with finding new contractors to finish this job.
