It was when they said that my $20 was just for the "set-up" cost (chair, clamps, napkin) that i was pissed. No compensation, just money down the drain. I finally told him that he was unprofessional in how he was handling his business. He told me if I didn't be quiet that he wouldn't schedule me to come in and he would make sure no one would touch my tattoo. He claims to be so busy but had time to send pictures of himself and try to see when he could come over and have sex though. Very pathetic.

I wasn't upset about the cancellation at all. I simply called afterward to ask if there was another appointment available later that day because my daughter is leaving tomorrow morning and we were hoping we could still get our tattoos. Instead of simply saying there wasn't another available time, I was met with a rude and confrontational attitude. He immediately brought up past rescheduled appointments and spoke to me as though I had done something wrong just for asking if another time was available. The tone of the conversation was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. Afterward, he sent me text messages claiming I had canceled "8 or 9 times" over the past year, which I strongly disagree with. I apologized for any inconvenience my past reschedules may have caused and explained that I wasn't calling to complain--I was only asking if there was another available appointment. When I asked about the $100 deposit I had left with him, he told me he intended to keep it because of those alleged cancellations. We had never agreed that my deposit would be forfeited under those circumstances. Rather than continue arguing, I simply replied, "Keep it with you. No problem." What disappointed me wasn't the $100. It was being spoken to with disrespect after years of being a loyal customer. I had trusted Ben with my sleeve, always paid my appointments, tipped well, and recommended him to many people. Despite that history, he ended our conversation by telling me to "have the day you deserve," followed by "Having a great day so far ." Ben is a talented artist, but professionalism and respect matter just as much as talent. Sadly, after today's experience, I will not be returning, and I can no longer recommend his business.

We discussed what was wanted and scheduled to return the following week. He educated him on the process before beginning and thoroughly explained aftercare instructions, including a copy of them via text so he could always access them. I got a cover up that I'd been wanting to have done for several years done as well. We will be repeat customers of this shop for years to come.

There was easy parking outside and her space was very clean and organized. Fine Strokes has an awesome website which you can get all the info you need on microblading, scheduling an appointment, and reading up on pre & post care. Vinny did my procedure and touch up as well. The studio is located inside Sola Salon & Suites near Costco in Shelby Twp so it's a single-room studio. However it's spic and span clean and excellent lighting. Vinny is so friendly and patient he wants to make sure he delivers what you want. I was pretty picky with my shape but he was so patient. For those of you who don't know, this procedure hurts! The numbing cream he used helped but if you know what this procedure is, then you'll expect some pain. My brows looked amazing after the first time he did them. I did the microblading + shading. He was very thorough in explaining the after care & provided a great topical gel to use. When I came back for my touchup 3 weeks later it was all the same experience, which is good. However both appointments I had to wait for quite a bit of time as he was finishing up a previous client. I appreciated that he acknowledged that & apologized for the inconvenience. I am pretty much happy with my brows however my skin must not have taken the strokes/pigment as well as others' skin does. Vinny is good about warning customers about that effect. The highly coveted microblading look does not last on all skin types. So mine you can somewhat see the lines, but it's mostly blurry. Not a great feeling considering all the money I spent here.
