BEWARE! I wish I had read the reviews BEFORE I scheduled appointments at Lasting Skin Solutions. I've had two types of treatment here in the past month. Coolsculpting: First time for me...and definitely the first time for the person who was planning to do the treatment. She didn't know how the scale worked, had to consult an instruction card to operate the laser and consulted someone outside the room for proper placement of the treatment. I asked for a different tech. Unfortunately, the replacement tech did NOT remeasure and only realized late in the treatment that the dial hadn't been set properly. $700.00/no change to my body. IPL: I've had several IPLs in the past at different facilities so felt I knew what to expect. I was totally unprepared for the swelling and blistering that ensued. I called the office for guidance and spoke with the office manager but never received a phone call from Kim Schuchardt, owner of LSS who had performed the treatment. As a matter of fact, I have never spoken to Kim directly since the treatment. I was scheduled for a one month post treatment check tomorrow but was notified tonight (again by the office manager) that the appointment was to be pushed out another month per Kim's request. Meanwhile I'm left with two very obvious scars on my nose. I understand that treatments don't always go as planned BUT two botched treatments and no follow-up/ownership of the problem leads me to this notification so others can avoid what I've been through. read more

These reviews seriously have to be a scorned patient who doesn't understand how medical aesthetics work, or someone who has it out for the owner because they're so mindblowingly inaccurate. I've been coming here the last few months with absolutely zero problems and nothing but success. My skin began freaking out after a trip to Chicago in the heat/humidity and wearing a full face of makeup and a mask for days straight. We did some laser and blemish treatments and my skin is looking SO much better! I also received filler from Kim and I am IN LOVE with the technique. You can tell that Kim has a true passion for what she does. LSS has always easily fit me in, provides amazing service, does great work, and has built a welcoming by environment. Please don't try Bellafill! It can be permanent and disfiguring. Kim injected Bellafill under my eyes 1.5 years ago. Today I have very obvious lumps of the filler under both of my eyes. I cannot conceal it with makeup. Kim tried to fix the problem with steroid injections. No improvement. I have continued to reach out to Kim to continue working with me. Kim does not respond to my emails at all now. In order to remove the Bellafill surgery is my only choice. Who should pay for the surgery? I don't even want to look at myself in the mirror. I was not told that Bellafill is not recommended for under eye use. Be careful and love your face the way it is! read more

I felt the need to let people know that this place claims to be very professional but after all the pain I went thru and days of unrecognizable face I guarantee you it is all lies and Kim want you to keep paying treatments that DON'T work at all. I wanted to remove some of my acne scaring but it worsen my skin face. I not only wasted money but suffered and made it worse. BELIEVE... try another place. Horrifying experience. Would not recommend, the experience was terrifying, they hit an artery near my eye, cauterized my face 3 times while I was blindfolded and had no idea what was happening, walked me out and told me to "use superglue or liquid band-aid" if it continued to bleed profusely. They let me drive when I was in shock and trying to hold a wad of wet paper towel to keep from bleeding all over. What was even worse was their handling of the situation. Kim actually threatened me. Filed a formal complaint with the state and was just shy of proving my case for disciplinary/penal action. Additionally, photos of staff are outdated, and not at all what they look like in real life. read more

I had a fraxel treatment done here to remove some hyperpigmentation. Along with the $1000 treatment (and this was 5 years ago), I also had to purchase the Obagi Nu Derm system. I was told that the treatment felt "tingly" and that I would experience some "bronzing" afterwards- like a mild sunburn, but that I would be just fine by Monday (treatment was on a Friday). First of all, the treatment felt like they were rolling a rolling pin covered in hot needles all over my face. Anyways, I went home, washed my face with the appropriate product, put on some ice, and slept with my head elevated per their instructions. The next morning my face felt like orange peel and was so swollen I couldn't even open one eye. I was completely unrecognizable. Over the next few days my skin started massively peeling and crusting. It was excrutiating to smile, chew, talk, etc. I wiped away built up scabbing with sterile water and used antiobiotic ointment on the open wounds, but other than that I could not/would not touch my face- the exfoliating and bleaching obagi system was out of the question. Eventually my face healed, but I couldn't go out in public for almost a week. The kicker? After all that, the treatment didnt work at all. The hyperpigmentation came back worse than ever. Of course, when I complained I was informed that this was actually my fault for not following their recommended skin care regimen. 6 months later I went to a dermatologist who prescribed triluma. 1/10th the cost, very little irritation, and it actually worked. read more

I have been coming to LSS for many years now. I appreciate Kim's skill in creating a great look instead of an overtreated clown face. I also appreciate that she is very honest about the expense vs value of various treatments. If I ask about something she doesn't think I need or isn't worth the cost, she will tell me rather than take my money for something I won't be happy with. Over the years, I have had the following things done: fraxel, skintyte, botox, lip injections. The laser stuff has been good for melasma and firming up skin on my rear end. For acne scarring, the fraxel did not do as much as I would have liked. The botox has been awesome, except I am still weirded out when younger men flirt with me ;) For lips, Kim is a master at creating a perfect set that genetics didn't give me. read more

I recently paid over $2500 for laser hair removal (lower legs, bikini, and under arms). After my 6th treatment they told me that because I wasn't seeing any results that I could come back in for a touch up once I saw growth. Well let's just say there was a LOT of growth so I called and made an appointment for this touch up. When I arrived they asked if I would be paying for this one treatment individually or getting another package. I then explained that this was supposed to be free because CLEARLY it wasn't working, and she replied that they don't offer that. I informed her of how clearly irritated I was for spending so much money for no results (you honestly can't that any single hair was removed). She replied to me with "I don't know what to say" what a horrible response for any business. VERY UNHAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICE. read more

Don't expect great results no matter how much money you spend. Kim will only try to talk you in to more treatments and when you get little results there is always an excuse. There are several places in the Madison area that offer similar services and actually spend time with you versus allocating the smallest amount of time possible in order to make the most money. I had a full face broadband laser treatment to remove sun damage (brown spots) about one month ago. During the free consultation, Kim answered all of my questions and made it clear that the spots might come back in a few years, even if I use sunscreen religiously, and I appreciated her honesty so I could make a fully informed decision. She also explained that the spots would darken temporarily and then flake off in about a week, and that's exactly what happened. The results exceeded my expectations and I'm very happy with it. The worst of the dark spots are completely gone. I still have some lighter brown spots, but they are barely noticeable unless you look closely. My co-workers thought I started wearing makeup! On top of the actual results, Kim took time to explain my options but I never felt pressured to buy more/different treatments, my appointments were always on time, and Kim and the staff are very friendly. The office is clean, quiet, and almost spa-like. All in all, this was a very good experience and I'm very glad I chose Lasting Skin Solutions to do it. read more

Kim is the most incompetent individual I have met in this business to date. She injected Hyaluronidase to dissolve Juvederm that was previously placed in the under eye region and while there was some improvement in certain area's, other area's directly underneath the eye lashes and above the orbital bone along the cheeks were much worse. What Kim failed to tell me was that she used a diluted solution which contains water. Juvederm does it's job by using your body fluid/ water to PLUMP the area's in which it is injected. Since Kim didn't use enough Hyaluronidase, the remaining juvederm that didn't get dissolved, utilized that excess water she directly injected into my face and it completely changed my contour and shape of my eyes. It caused raised lumps and makes my left eye appear much smaller than the right due to the fullness. I went back to her today to get this dissolved with straight, UNDILUTED hyaluronidase and Kim proceeded to tell me that I "don't know my own face", that I as the patient, have no idea as to what I am talking about, and she became very rude and angry at me for bringing these complications to her attention following that first injection by her two weeks ago. I at that point, got up and grab my coat and she continued to belittle me spiting the words "good luck with your face". I turned and told her she could go to Hell and "good luck with your practice" in the same tone. DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC- THE REVIEWS ON HERE SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES. I am a 52-yo wife, mom, grandma who 6 years ago had Botox in my forehead and my lips injected to enhance the lip line. The person who did it truly was an artist and when I tried to make an appt with her 9 months later, to my disappointment, she had left and they did not want to tell me where she had gone to. I have since then been looking for someone who equaled her skills but after 6 different facilities/injection people, both at spas as well as plastic surgeons offices, all with less than desirable results, I had all but given up finding someone who could do what I had done before as well. After extensively reviewing other facilities, I decided to try Kim Cornell at Lasting Skin Solutions. I wasn't deterred by the negative reviews, as haters are gonna hate, and there just weren't that many negative reviews. I am VERY glad I went to see Kim. She spent an hour with me listening to what I wanted to have done and asking me about my family's skin history/my smoking history/sun exposure, etc. so she could get a feel for what my skin has been through and where to go with it. She suggested some things for down the road that she thought would be good for me and at all times prices were available for me to see. At NO TIME did I feel that I was being pushed into anything. I agreed with many of her suggestions that down the road I hope to do and she also made me aware of things I didn't even know where available which was great!! We proceeded on to what I originally came in for which was lip enhancement and Botox in my forehead. Kim offered me a special needle with a rounded tip for the lip injections to minimize discomfort as well as bruising. It was an additional 50.00 but I felt, and still feel, it was a smart upgrade. I was happy to have this choice available to me as I do bruise easily and this really lessened the bruising and, happily, the discomfort as well, yippee!! I don't agree with the person who complained about this not being the standard needle. It is an upgrade and there is a charge for it. I don't expect to get upgrades for nothing when I buy a car or a home or get a steak when I order a hamburger. It's an upgrade that I felt was well worth it. I would recommend Kim for lip injections as I have been looking for someone with her skill set for 6 years and she is the real deal!! BTW, prices were right in the ball park with what I have paid at the other 6 facilities. I am going to be getting another procedure in June and will write a review after that. read more
