He showed up as MC, did a good job there, photobooth (had to hound him for the photos), but almost 5 years later, I still don't have my video. The trailer he sent me over half a year after my wedding started decent but just seconds in, the rest was garbage. It was basically clips of everyone dancing at the reception. Thankfully, I was able to get the raw footage of my wedding after consistent hounding and threatening to file suit against him ..and (some of somebody else's wedding too) but to this day, I still don't have our video. Prior to all of this, I had also recommended Tony to two other friends for their upcoming wedding after mine - one hired him for video (she got screwed the same way I did) and the other hired him for MC and photobooth (MC service delivered, photobooth pictures were sent to her weeks after consistent hounding by her and ME) Stay away - there's so many better and reputable vendors for hire.

However, it is now 3 months after my wedding and I have finally gained the courage to come out and warn future brides and grooms. I was referred to Tony Chen (owner of Sky Creations) by my wedding studio since I did not know where to start when looking for a DJ/MC and figured they would know best since they have been to so many weddings. Being that I had been procrastinating, it was 4 months before my wedding and most DJ/MC services have been booked. I made my first appointment to meet Tony with my then-fiance but an hour before the scheduled time, he emails me and asks if we can push our appointment back at hour since he was "running behind." I had no problem with that since I'll just grab dinner beforehand then, no big deal. I show up at 7:30pm and he is still with another pair of clients. He then proceeds to shove us into a little office to give us a very brief summary of his services/packages and costs and then had us watch video clips of his performances to waste time while he goes back to meet with the other two clients. He clearly overbooked us. After what felt like a long time, he came back to the room and brought us out to watch the timeline planning process with his other clients since they were to be married in a week. Yeah, WTH. We left after a few minutes. That instance was unprofessional in my opinion but Tony reeks confidence and is a really good speaker so I secretly hoped that that was just a one time incident, since I really did not have many choices especially because I wanted someone who speaks a little Cantonese during the wedding for my family. I met with another company a few days later and it was a disaster, so I had to choose the less of two evils so to speak. I met with Tony again a week later (in which he was tardy AGAIN) and booked him to be my MC, his DJ services for my ceremony and reception, and photo booth. I even half-joked that he better not be late the day of the wedding, but I was truly fearful on the inside. Most of my communication with Tony thereafter were done via email and by uploading my requests onto a website he provided me. He is actually quite good with emails which is great. I had a final appointment with Tony a week before the wedding to go over my timeline and then two days before my appointment, he tried to cancel on me because he has a event that day and his photographer cannot work. Um, WTF! I made this appointment a month in advance to ensure everything is smooth and does he seriously expect my schedule to be free one week before my wedding?! I have other appointments! I went ballistic. I confronted him about it in email and even called him, but he did not pick up. Moments later, he emailed to say he is available again. Oh, and of course he was late to that appointment too. Is it terrible to say that the day of the wedding, I was actually surprised he showed up given his record with tardiness? It's sad but true. So everything was fine, I went down the aisle and all that to my music. But as my husband and I turned around for the recessional music to leave the alter, SILENCE... We waited and the silence continued. Awkward. Finally in what felt like a long time my requested song played... starting RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF A SENTENCE IN THE SONG! Like, "...ble melts like lemon drops. High above..." Mr. DJ, did you fall asleep? Could you not have at least started it in the beginning of a chorus or beginning of the song? THEN during the reception there was a terrible moment Tony made a surprise announcement that the bride and groom were going to sing for each other. I have no idea where that came from! I went along because I wanted to be a good sport but why on Earth would you do that out of nowhere? Little does he know I hate karaoke and I don't even do it when I am out with my friends let alone in front of nearly 180 guests?! A few weeks after the wedding, I was hanging out with my friends and I was told that my photo booth stopped printing out pictures during the reception. I was mortified. I requested for a partial refund from Tony but was denied because he said it was "only down for twenty minutes." Even if that was the case (which I clearly do not know because I did not have a timer), it was during the prime time when people were enjoying it. Not to mention the pictures were printed out in 2x2's rather than as a strip which I had requested. I then realized I never received my glow sticks which were in my contract as well! Tony then just ignored my emails even though he had always been good with them in the past. I just gave up. It is a lost cause and too stressful. That all being said, Tony does get the crowd very involved and is a ball of fire. High energy, a great speaker, good at improvising and making things happen when needed. The choice is up to you, but I cannot whole-heartedly recommend him.

Kevin was phenomenal with communication and flexibility as we postponed again and again. When the time finally came to celebrate Xtreme sent 3 great team members to take care of us: a DJ, MC, and a photo booth attendant- John, Danny, & Mike. They handled our ceremony music beautiful and then got the party started! They nailed every major moment. Our guests enjoyed when the DJ played "their song" as requested which was great to see their reactions. Photo booth was lots of fun and the attendant made it so easy. I love that they print however many strips you need based on how many people are in the photo and they provided me with a usb drive at the end of the night with all the photos. They made everything so easy for us, I couldn't ask for more from.

He knows how to really read the crowd and get everybody up and dancing. We wanted a dance party for a wedding and we definitely got it. Brian is known for actually "DJ'ing" as in mixing songs - -not just playing one song after the next. He has a full on system set up to mix anything from Robin Thicke to Aerosmith and make it sound phenomenal. Brian was really easy to work with, accommodating, and was always available for a conference call throughout the planning process. He even flew in the night before to make sure there were no hang ups at the airport.

We put in a few specifics and then let him do his thing. One of the first things I noticed at the reception is Brian's speaking voice; it is very pleasant in tone and his announcements sounded great. He also worked with us to coordinate music for our slideshow presentation and I just felt that he could roll with anything and be counted on -- and he could -- which allowed us to relax and enjoy the evening. Another thing I appreciated was his desire to be clear on what WE wanted for the party. For instance, we didn't want impromptu speeches so he never gave a microphone to anyone without asking us if it was okay - -and he did it in a subtle way. We were able to communicate with just a glance or a nod. I liked that he was very attentive and in sync with us the whole evening. But no matter how nice a DJ is, you hire them for the music and their ability to get people dancing and this is where Brian really shines. He knows how to read a crowd and play the right music to keep everyone dancing, and that is just what he did. Anyone who approached him was greeted with a smile. He played all of our specific requests and was brilliant at mixing in (random) guest song requests. We found his music collection to be vast (as it should be) and if he doesn't have a song (which we didn't encounter), he will get it on the spot. After seeing some of the iPhone videos of the reception at the end of the night (funny stuff) it is clear that Brian really kept the energy up and the party going without it being too "club-like" in feel. After all, it's a wedding, not a rave. Everyone loved him -- from the young to the old. Guests raved about him and we left our reception feeling like we had just thrown the best party in town. If you are looking for a dependable, solid DJ who really gets it and can appeal to a wide age range, Brian's your man. I can't recommend him enough. We were extremely pleased with our reception and we will look to hire him again for future parties.

I initially reached out to them after attending many of their public events around Brooklyn and Manhattan. It was always a memorable experience - everything from their DJ's, entertainers, lighting displays and promotional material - they're the whole package and I knew they could provide something extra special for us. After a quick call, they provided me with options/prices that they offer, ideas that were so creative and also work-appropriate. The MC Mr. Breezy had everyone on that dance floor last night! The DJ/tech guy was super helpful hooking us up to an outlet and getting us the things we needed. They're set up was on point. The dancers were great and everyone was really friendly and a pleasure to work with. I don't find that too often. The DJ often overlooks us since we're "only" the photobooth but not this company! I look forward to working with them again and you should definitely have them at your event if you want your guests to have a great time.

The entire Geo team was nothing short from outstanding, gracious and accommodating from the moment I reached out to the moment they picked everything up. The delivery team arrived early for set up and went above and beyond helping us set up the room--leaving no detail unattended to. Geo and his team surpassed all of our expectations--we would recommend them over and over and look forward to using them again!
