I've had faster barbers who have messed up my cut in so many different ways, and have also had the type A barber where you have to schedule a whole afternoon or morning to get the job done. Can't speak for the other barbers, as I have only worked with Ariel, but coming from a family who have owned a successful barber shop in NYC, I can personally say he provided great service...on a Sunday to say the least! He gave me the perfect 1920s haircut for a wedding I had and I got compliments across the board. He can do advanced line styling or the more traditional business cut. He employs the best cutters in the area and ensures their quality. The cost for a cut is low and the value you get is worth 5 times the amount. They give a neck massage AND hot towel treatment. The shave is worth the money, it will last you 3 times as long as a normal razor. It's easy to schedule an appointment online and they are always on time. The ambience of the place is stellar! Pool and beer with music and laughs. It's a 20 minute drive for me but totally worth the time. Jonathan even takes the time to make sure I know HOW to style my haircut so that I can achieve the just cut look every morning. The beard was extra tricky as I just let it grow for almost two months with not trimming and normally don't grow a beard, so I had no clue what I wanted. I took a leap of faith and found Hair Trends. I took my son here for a fade and he claims it's the best barber he's been too yet. The shop is unique in that it has a pool table and they can even whiten your teeth. The service is efficient and my son was very happy with the fact he got a scalp massage included with his cut/fade which was priced fairly at $20.00. Haircut was pretty solid from what I saw when I was there but when I got home I noticed something that needed fixed. It wasn't some huge mistake but it was enough to notice. A little hard to find at first, but I figured it out. I made a last minute appointment with Denise via the website. I had to wait about 15 minutes after my appointment to get in the chair. Denise seemed a little nervous at first, and she kept on going back to places to touch things up, which had me a little nervous. She did most of her work without me facing the mirror, which also made me a little nervous because I couldn't see what she was doing. When she finally spun me around I was blown away. I'm NOT impressed with their customer service. Jonathan tends to be a bit rude and not care about his customers or their time. I called and made and appointment for a trim with Jonathan at 3pm. He called me back because I left a comment that said I may need a full hair cut because I am unsure about what exactly a trim is vs a full haircut in this establishment. He declared that he would not have time for a full haircut, only a trim. He didn't specify the exact details of what a trim is but instead said they have all the specifics on their website, which they do not because I booked the appointment using it and there weren't enough details. I tried to explain that I'm just looking for the best price for what I need done which wasn't much because if I'm getting my hair trimmed on a monthly basis I don't want to spend a small fortune on it. $30 each visit to be precise. He said to me rudely that they do not charge based off time spent working but rather based off the quality sheerwork/sheermanship provided. Couldn't be more full of himself or his establishment. He asked me if I wanted to book tomorrow but why would I? I needed my hair cut THAT day. This person obviously doesn't care about their customer's time or needs. The best part of this entire situation is that I had my hair cut previously with Jonathan and he messed up my edges and sideburns, cutting them unevenly and unclean. I had to revisit to correct what he had messed up, wasting my time back then as well. Talk about QUALITY sheer work. LOL This place isn't worth the time or money. They are not friendly to walk in customers here. They are not consistent in the quality they proclaim to provide to justify their price model either. They have no consideration for customers time or needs. Trust me when I say that there are many other hair shops out there more deserving of your money that provide better service. read more

Made an appointment and arrived 10 minutes early to sit and wait 30 minutes while the barber primped and trimmed and rubbed some dudes neck the entire time. Once I got in the seat, I tried to speak to the guy about being on time, etc etc.. He played it off and then tried to retaliate by giving me a garbage cut. I told him it wasn't a good cut and made him fix it, and he did. However I shouldn't have had to ask for the guy to be a professional.
