My tooth has a complicated history, and Dr. Ghandi listened carefully. The tooth, a molar, had…read morealso been corrected by braces a few years back in my early 60s; when I was a child it had come in "sideways" (not even touching the tooth below) and it took quite a bit of "coaxing" to straighten it, to say the least. Prior to my visit I had seen another endodontist two years earlier, who recommended crowning the tooth, which had been chronically sensitive, due, in his opinion, to a likely small crack in the tooth itself (not the root). He did not think the root was affected. My dentist crowned the tooth, but the problem persisted, and my dentist again referred me to an endodontist, and this time I saw Dr. Ghandi. Dr. Ghandi listened to all of this and gave me her opinion that "no root" could likely survive the trauma of being forced as it had been to straighten it, I'm sure because I'd had braces many decades after the tooth emerged. She recommended a two-step root canal, first to remove the dead root, and then to pack it with an antibiotic for a month before finished the procedure. We did that, and in fact the root was dead and infected, with some bone loss. However, she is reasonably confident that the tooth can be saved (from extraction), although it may take some time for the longtime sensitivity to fade. Time will tell. Dr. Ghandi is a true professional. She listens well, considers what you say, explains her opinion clearly, and tells you step by step, in a considerate way, what she's doing to your tooth as she proceeds. She may have saved my tooth, which apparently was not ideally managed earlier (although she avoids any criticism of other practitioners; just gives her opinion going forward). Her staff is also polite, efficient, and obviously competent. Oh, and if you call with a question or problem following the procedure (I had some pain, not surprisingly, after step one), she absolutely will call you back at the end of the day (and prescribed antibiotics, in my case). I recommend her and her office without reservation.

Sometime in 2019, I had the procedure on 1 tooth, in 2 visits for some reason..... Every time the…read morenovocaine shot was very painful. When he is working on your mouth, it feels like he is doing very hard labour.... Gave advice that another tooth could not be saved and needs to be extracted..... And as a cherry on the cake : I had used him about 2 years before my last visit; and the price was kinda reasonable, especially since I had insurance, The last time, they never bothered to give me the price before the procedure, but when all was done - they hit me with a $1400 bill, which was at least $300 more than the previous time. I had no insurance, and had I known of this gouging before, I would've walked out. I paid half that day.. And after I researched prices, and realized that he is shamelessly overcharging, I mailed the check that made the payment same as it had been last time, with a letter of explanation. I never heard from them again for about 1.5 years, and thought all was fine. The other day, I tried to get my credit reports - and his DEMAND for $700+, much more than I actually would've had to pay to make it to $1,400 - was on a collection report!!!!!! When I tried to resolve the gouging/collection issue, his receptionist was obnoxious, lied through her teeth, hung up on me, and when I called back a few times, she would pick up the phone, say Nothing, and then hang up. Needless to say, I asked my dentist for another recommendation. Saw Dr Landau - and it was like night and day! I still had 3 teeth to do root canal on, including the one that Segal told me to extract..... which Dr Landau said there was no reason to do. Dr Landau did every tooth in ONE visit; he used a very gentle novocaine injector (it took 30 seconds longer than Segal's stabs..) And - each tooth cost just under $900, with 10% discount since I paid in full every time... The fish, as everyone knows, rots from the head.. I would not recommend going to that office, but hey do whatever you want.

I was given a bottle of water to tide me over before my appointment. Little things like that make a big difference. I had an implant that had fallen into disrepair and was unusable. Dr. Choi had the arduous task of removing the implant close to the nerve. He was able to perform the task with a minimum of discomfort and time spent in the office. During the procedure, Dr. Choi was entertaining, personable, and humorous. I had a great time talking to him and the hygienist was actively engaged in her work and the conversation we were having. I normally don't get too ecstatic about dental procedures; however, he managed to make it a pleasant experience. We just clicked, and I felt the experience was rewarding. He gave excellent instruction for after care, which resulted in only a small amount of pain. His follow up appointment was quick and made me feel comfortable that everything went smoothly. I am really glad that my dentist (Dr. Erin Paige) recommended him. Bravo!
