This company held what was supposed to be a Seafood Bash on January 18, 2020. It was far from what…read morecomes to mind when you hear the word "Bash". The total cost for the ticket through Eventbrite was $49.37.
The advertised menu included: Maryland Blue Crabs, Snow crab legs, Crawfish, Shrimp: Fried and steamed, Fried tilapia, Fried Whiting, Gumbo, Lobster Mac and Cheese, Mac Balls, Seafood salad, Potato Salad, Corn on cob, Deviled eggs, Dirty Rice, Moscato cupcakes, Red velvet cheesecake, Better than cake and Chocolate mousse.
Needless to say, I was excited since I'm an avid seafood lover. I anticipated this event the entire week, but I had no idea what was to come. The scheduled event time was 1 p.m. -5 p.m. This company wasn't prepared to receive their patrons at 1:00 p.m. Guests were told "we will be ready about 2:00 p.m. " When I arrived, I was expecting a grand event, however I was escorted to the library's banquet room with a look of disappointment upon my face.
Upon arrival, I checked in and got in the buffet style line to get a plate of food. As I stood in line, I looked around to see where the rest of the advertised food was, but to my surprise, there were no Snow crab legs, fried shrimp, fried Whiting, Gumbo, Lobster Mac, Mac Balls, Potato Salad, Dirty Rice, Moscato cupcakes, Red velvet cheesecake, nor any Better than cake available for consumption. I wanted to leave at that point because this was a case of MAJOR false advertisement, but I stayed since I'd already paid.
Of the food that was actually served, the Blue crabs felt like they were taken out of the refrigerator, the steamed shrimp and crawfish were overcooked, the potatoes were burnt, the corn on the cob was undercooked and the "fried" Tilapia wasn't fit to be called fried. On top of that, there was no water being served to drink, only bland tea.
This was by far the worst seafood experience I've ever encountered. Not worth the money at all.
