I was a victim of catastrophic trucking accident the morning of March 5th of 2019. From that very…read moremoment, my entire life would never be the same! I was struck by a Borden Dairy's milk truck, that was driving in the north bound lanes on Cobb parkway close to the intersection of Bells Ferry and Cobb Pkwy (Hwy. 41), but decided he would use them to drive south long enough to attempt to cut through in the median. Did I also mention no lights on the box truck where in working condition. NOTE this was around 5:45am so it was completely dark. Anyways I understand this is a review not a testimony so long long story short after nearly two weeks in the trauma center at Kennestone hospital under going multiple surgeries. First to stop sever internal bleeding, removing almost two feet pf my large intestine that was cut in 7 places, removing a rather large section of my liver that was severed off. then another surgery to remove the emergency brake pedal that embedded into my fibula after sliding all the way up from my ankle to about 4 inches below my knee cap. resulted in severely broken fibula and under going multiple skin graphs. My wife came across Fried & Goldberg while I was still undergoing treatment in the hospital. At first everything started to seem like it would work out. I remember Michael calling my wife while he was on vacation in Costa Rica to give his condolences and assure us we wouldn't ever have to worry about anything. that they where going to see to it that me along with my family would be taken care of. they had video surveillance and all the evidence they needed to compensate me back for all the hell I was put through all because of the laziness and negligence of a milk man. My Lawyer assured me I had to worry about. i was the victim 100%. well after a year in a half, it was finally time for mediation... I must add, at this time I am still undergoing extensive treatment for my leg, severe PTSD, major memory loss. while being told for almost two years I wouldn't ever have any worries. I would compensated enough to get completely better. At that time my wife and I wasn't sure if I would ever be able to work again. Reason I would never recommend this law firm is how my lawyer went about settling this entire case out. My mediation took place via Zoom Video call. Come to find out my attorney was away at his lake house because he had caught COVID. My entire mis conception over this entire case is how can an individual settle out a lawsuit sick like that. In my eyes how is that much different then say you are in a court room and you are granted a plea deal from the D.A and you stand under oath in front of a judge and they ask those few questions, one question asked every time. Like, "You fully aware, you aren't under the influence or in a state of mind that would have any type of effects on the sole decision's you make today". Now i would like to know how that is far from being much different. I saw my attorney throughout my depositions. At those times totally different. strong never was there any intimidation. But on the day that decision's and clear thinking meant the rest of my life. needless to say, that day went totally the opposite for me at least. Ended up with a small fraction of what he thought at first would of been the bare minimum I would walk away with. well almost 4 years from the day of the accident i am still undergoing wound treatment, trying to find ways to fund the costs. because obviously the case has been closed but i am barely half way healed. Tell me how that's works. please do your research. this firm just put in more debt and has given me more medical bills. No great lawyer should close a case when they have a client that is still hurt especially undergoing treatment after treatment.
