Adam was always responsive and followed through with everything we asked for and orchestrated a heartfelt, beautiful and dignified funeral service. Adam always showed awareness of the budget and never pushed anything and did everything we asked. Above all, he provided a ceremonial funeral in honor of my father and with the awareness of customs, routines & sacraments in a dignified and traditional way. Adam also without question, brought in multiple caskets as my mom was a bit indecisive and very choosy about which casket she finally chose. Beware if they do not know you; if you are not a "homie."…read more Confusion due to unprofessional favoritism towards the survivor (homie) who referred the caretaker survivor (with ability to pay) to Gaines in the first place. Gaines refused to allow the paying caretaker survivor, who was also legally appointed by decedent, to fully honor the memory of the decedent. Senior extended family members who knew the decedent have expressed sadness and disappointment that Gaines would engage in "shady" practices. Only one person was satisfied; that one who colluded with Gaines, creating a contract that omitted the paying survivor, and then walked away with the overpayment in his pocket. He who signs the agreement should be the one who pays! Bottom line: any value was destroyed by Gaines blatant participation in messy behavior and refusing to consider the desires of the payer who is an equal survivor and the only person legally authorized by decedent to disburse funds on behalf of the decedent. God sees and God knows.

But when the unthinkable happened my husband quickly reached out to Lou. He told me not to look anywhere else he is someone you can trust. When the moment came all of the details were taken care of and highly organized. Then came the moment where we had to sit with him and discuss next steps. I had no clue but he patiently guided us and made sure every thing was carefully thought of with no rush. His employees were EXCELLENT! From choosing the casket, getting the right image and verbiage for the obituary. Making sure that they had a few pictures of her so that they could apply right makeup and hair style, it was amazing. I'm glad that they had our back. The day of the viewing, the father who led prayers and last rights all amazing. The procession to the cemetery all so beautiful. Lou our family is forever grateful. The part I don't care for, and it's no fault of this place or of anyone at all, is a service at holiday times. It sucks for the family. This place does its best to make a calming experience for a family and visitors during a difficult and painful time. The colors are muted, the lighting is soft. Those arriving via the front door will be greeted by someone giving direction to the appropriate spot. There is a smaller room off to the side that on this visit had coffee and cookies for those who wanted to mingle before or after the receiving line. There's a step down into the main viewing area, but there is a wheelchair accessible ramp. I can't speak anything about the funeral director(s) or how they are in interactions with the bereaved, but they oversee and provide a place with a nice affect reflecting the (sad) purpose of its business.

The place itself is a decent size, it held lots of family and friends without a problem. They have a space in the front for food and beverages. They also have a space down in the basement for children or to hold more people if needed. The bathrooms were clean and well kept. All of the workers at Craciun were super sweet and very helpful. That made this very hard time a little easier for all of us and I just wanted to say a big thank you to them for all that you do. We really appreciate the smoothness of the funeral and all it entailed. I would recommend if anyone is in need of their services, without hesitation to give them a call.
