I can't recommend Lilies and Lavender enough. I wanted to use small local vendors for my wedding and knew that Lilies and Lavender, with their small sustainably managed farm, would be perfect for me. Though my wedding was in New Hope, I live in NYC. I was able to meet with Kate only once and knew from the first meeting that she really understood our style and vision. She lives on a beautiful little farm where she grows all of her flowers. After our meeting, she created a Pinterest board for my wedding where we both shared ideas and arrangements for the various aspects of the ceremony and reception. Kate is super creative and really knows her stuff. She came up with some gorgeous arrangements and beautifully incorporated the vintage vases that my mom collected. We planned to have our wedding entirely outside, but the weather had other plans for us :) Everything had to be moved inside of 2 barns. The day before the event, I spoke to Kate to go over the changes. I was initially worried about how everything would translate inside, but after talking with her I felt so much better. She was able to bring the outside in by totally transforming the barns into a magical and romantic floral wonderland. I have no doubt that Kate and her assistant worked incredibly hard that day and handled all of the changes with professionalism and grace. They even added some last second details, such as adding candles to the tables and brought in an awesome chandelier made from branches and flowers! When I walked in to the space, I was truely overwhelmed. It was like a dream! If you are looking for a unique, local, artistic, Eco-friendly and absolutely beautiful florist experience, please go to Kate at Lilies and Lavender. Everything is seasonal (as it should be), so if you are looking for exotic tropicals or peonies in January, this is not the florist for you. Swing and a miss. I ordered flowers for my sister and brother-in-law for their anniversary. I should have paid more attention when the owner told me there was no storefront, "just a farm." I very specifically explained that I wanted flowers for a wedding anniversary-not Christmas. I said I wanted greens and white flowers-no red. The owner said that she would text me a picture and if I didn't like it she would start over. I received a text and a picture that showed what had already been delivered. RED, white and green in a Lenox-looking holly vase. The flowers were sparse for $75 and the arrangement was amateur. I won't call again. read more

I worked with Kate to develop the floral plan for my June wedding. She did three boutonnieres, three flower crowns, a dog collar, my bouquet, flowers for the cakes, and bulk flowers and vines for the tables. I felt really confident in Kate's skills and professionalism throughout the planning process. We shared ideas with each other via Pinterest and ultimately came up with exactly what I was hoping for. My bouquet was absolutely stunning and the flower girls glowed in their halos! I came to the farm the day before the wedding to pick the blooms for my bouquet with my mother-in-law and best friend, picked up the bulk flowers to start the arrangements on our own, and Kate delivered everything else the morning of the wedding to the site.
