They have all sort of old farming, mining and communication machineries from the past 150 years. Some of the machineries were still in working condition. One of the highlights was the display of the Beaconsfield mine collapse when 3 miners were trapped underground for 2 weeks. The display gave us a idea on the size of tunnel and the rescue. We ended up spending about 3 hours at the museum and really enjoyed the experience.

Looked them up online from the San Francisco Bay Area for a ride in Tasmania. I had a free weekend between meetings in Melbourne and Sydney. Not wanting to take a helmet and bulky jacket overseas TMH took care of me without question. Also they provided me directions for two long full day amazing rides from Launceston. I took a taxi from the airport to the hotel then TMH delivered the bike to the hotel and picked it up on Sunday night. Their bikes are in excellent condition. Bottom line is TMH has amazing service! I hadn't visited tasmania before and normally drive on the right side of the road, but now I'm going to be searching for a place like this to ride again for the rest of my life. It has everything I look for in a ride...very little traffic, a stop sign every 100 miles (exaggerated a little, but not much), excellent road surface (even the dirt roads), no straight roads, a variety of scenery (rocky coastlines, sandy beaches, rain forests, vineyards, wildlife, rolling green hills), and I even had great summer weather. If you're the adventurous type then this an excellent Australian Adventure and Tasmanian Motorcycle Hire is the best.

Perfect for families or other groups! We spent two nights in Cottage 1 (2 bedroom), and found it spacious and comfortable. The furnishings are beautiful and solid, and the story of the cottages is pretty neat. I'm glad they were rescued from neglect! Everything was clean. The service station clerks were very, very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. There is a lot to do in the area (for rural Tasmania) and these cottages are in a nice, quiet location well positioned for exploring Mole Creek, Elisabethtown, Latrobe, etc.

Only issue was having to wait an hour before getting in as there is a limit of 50 cars in the park at a time. The alternative is a shuttle bus but you can't shuttle bus with sea kayaks. Jeremy went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our tour, from explaining the history of the different vineyards in the Tamar Valley to giving us recommendations in Launceston and dropping us directly off at the pub after our tour was over! Would highly recommend going on a tour of the Tamar Valley with Valleybrook Wine on Wheels.

Gayle and I spent 3 nights here as part of a group land tour of Tasmania. CONS On the second morning, the breakfast room was overrun by at least 3 tour groups (including ours). Seating poured out into the adjacent bar area. There was 1 coffee machine line, toaster selections disappeared onto the plates of other guests, and saved items at tables were moved off by other guests. Quite a scrum. =/- So So shower pressure Maybe a little street noise came in, but we also like fresh air. PROS Great Location Friendly and Helpful Front Desk and Bar Staff. Mornings 1 and 3 at Breakfast were much better, except for maybe the coffee line. Breakfast offerings were pretty good. Our bed was clean and comfortable, there was plenty of room, adequate desk space was available, and the WiFi was pretty good.

It was a single reservation with two rooms for me and my best friend under my name. The first time we stayed here, the gentleman Manning the front desk was fast, efficient, friendly, and very helpful. Last night. However, when we tried to check in, the woman at the front desk got the same information checked us in I thought and then as I turned to walk away said do you want the second room as well? I looked at her and said what part of a single reservation with two rooms under my name. Did you miss? She goes well. Sometimes people show up later I said. Oh no! She's out in the car watching our stuff so it took more than twice as long as it should have and I didn't really feel like she cared at the inconvenience she was causing. All I can say is if you stay here, the rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. But there's a high probability. You may not get a terribly intelligent person at the front desk
