Shirodhara is a form of Ayurveda therapy that involves gently pouring liquids over the forehead. The name comes from the Sanskrit words shiro (head) and dhara (flow). You start with a warm for bath, a pageant in itself. Then lay down and the warm oil drips on your forehead and runs down your hair, feeling like a tender massage, both cleansing and calming. Finish up with time in the sauna to release any lingering tensions and give thanks for the gifts you have received . I highly recommend this experience, and look forward to trying other ayurvedic sessions.
