I contacted Bake &Bake to inquire about possibly doing a cake and some other goodies for my son's…read more4th birthday party (Spidey and his Amazing Friends theme). Eve was super quick to respond to me and extremely helpful with any questions I had. I wasn't sure what flavors to choose and she guided me to a possible flavor selection from her most popular flavors and by asking what my son's favorite flavors were. Based off of strawberries (His favorite flavor) she came up with an amazing flavor profile for the cake, mini cupcakes and cake pops. The cake ended up being a classic vanilla cake layered with fresh strawberry cream, fresh strawberries, and a touch of strawberry coulis. The cake pops were triple chocolate flavor made with Belgian truffle chocolate--and strawberries, and last but not least the mini cupcakes were strawberry with lemon buttercream. The final products came out beyond my expectations from the visual presentation she nailed and even better than the inspiration photo I sent her and the taste was so delicious and tasty. Everything was a big hit with my party guests and I received so many compliments. Birthday boy was in heaven with his cake! Thank you Eve for sharing your baking gifts and knowledge with us! No doubt I will be a returning customer!

She shared with me how she began baking after discovering of her son's food allergies; you can feel the love being put into every baked good with the same care and concern she had making her son's first allergen-free cake. Because of this, she caters to many tastes and preferences; I've included a photo of all the flavorings just to demonstrate this point! When you place your order, you won't just be pleased with the finished product, you will be WOWED!

I don't know what "percentage" goes to scholarships because there is no webpage with a business plan, mission etc. So I spent $18 on 3 cupcakes: dark chocolate, chocolate mint and red velvet. The cupcakes were very dry, they all ended up into the trash. The dark chocolate frosting was ok, it was like whipped chocolate fudge. The mint had way too much peppermint extract with a very dry cupcake. The red velvet didn't taste anything like a red velvet cupcake. It was not a good flavor; can't even describe it The frosting tasted like I put a spoonful of powdered sugar in my mouth mixed with some shortening maybe. A tip for the owner, a simple box of powdered pudding can help with moisture.

I wish I took some photos to share but I honestly couldn't wait to try them. I also purchased two of the bombs to give as gifts (I think they're called that)- chocolate and pumpkins spice. They were a hit! Super cool how the label is edible and melts away. I'm very happy with everything I tried. Next time, I'll definitely get my hands on those cupcake parfaits.

The cheesecake was so good I had to sit in silence for a minute and reevaluate every life choice that led me to lesser cheesecakes. Creamy, rich, perfectly balanced, and somehow emotionally supportive. I'm pretty sure one bite repaired my credit score. The staff were unbelievably kind too. They treated me like I was a long-lost cousin returning from war with important cheesecake-related news. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and smelled like happiness and butter. At this point I don't even think this place is a bakery. I think it's a public service. If Cheesecake Dreamations ever starts a loyalty program, I will accidentally achieve platinum status by Thursday.

I was so happy they were open on NYE because it was a good stop along the way back up to SF. They had reduced hours, but they posted it on Yelp and IG - so I didn't have that "will they, won't they" anxiety of whether they'd actually be open on a holiday. The cheesecake selection was pretty good - about 12 different flavors. The cheesecake texture is softer and more of a whipped consistency rather than a dense cheesecake, which I definitely prefer. This is a grab and go counter, though you could technically stay and eat it there since there was some seating. I grabbed a dozen and took them to a NYE potluck that day and folks said they really enjoyed it. Would recommend getting the plain, ube, and pass on the key lime (but thats just IMO).
