I cannot say enough about this place. It is amazing. I always have the vegetables over hashbrowns with avocado on top. My cousin usually gets the chicken sandwich, which is also amazing if you like chicken and they have lots to choose from when it comes to desserts, the food is fresh and delicious and I try to go there at least three or four times every time I visit from San Diego. It's the first place and the last place I go when I get there and my family is always willing to go several times with me because there's so much to choose them. Let me start, the service and People are very nice! I came in and placed a cake order, marble cake, with a red white frosting, we looked at the cake in the case and said let's do that, it matches theme, had some other touches too! I also bought a few pastries as well, which were all delicious. I had to call and make a small change, went from one cake to two cakes, but asked everything to stay the same as far as cake flavors and decorations. Unfortunately this was a complete miss for my wife and her friends birthday. Cake showed up with a completely different decoration, and the upon curing it open, the cake was chocolate not marble. Not the way you want to be surprised during a big celebration. I will go back for pastries but most likely look elsewhere for bigger items such as cake for special celebrations. read more

Popped in on our way out of town. Kept it simple- mom ordered French toast and I got the avocado toast. Mom said hers was a bit on the colder side (but she isn't one to send things back)... she did say that it still tasted good enough to order again. I had the avocado toast and requested my eggs over medium. The eggs arrived done done so I didn't get the jamminess I was hoping for with the yolk, but a little salt and pepper still made for a good dish. Service was friendly and tables were full the entire time we were there, so definitely seems to be a popular local spot. Heavenly Bakery is a great little place to meet up with friends. I go there quite often for breakfast or lunch. I would like to suggest the owner get rid of dishes with chips on them. The plate my breakfast was served on today looked terrible with five or six huge chips around the edge. I've noticed this in the past on coffee cups, but have never said anything. They should discard all chipped cracked or broken dishes, and replace them. It makes the food look very unappetizing. Service and food are great. Today, my sister found out she's having a baby girl. She was glowing, excited, and wanted to do something special -- like surprise her husband with a cupcake filled with pink or one that simply said "It's a girl." Nothing complicated. Just something sweet and meaningful. She walked into this bakery with joy in her heart and politely asked the woman working if she could help with this simple request. The woman immediately said no -- no explanation, no effort, no kindness. My sister asked again, offering different options, and was met with the same cold, dismissive tone. I was on the phone with her the entire time, listening -- the woman didn't know I was hearing every word, but I did. And what I heard was heartbreaking. The tone, the attitude, the complete lack of empathy. Then, as my sister started to look at cakes, the woman rushed over and began hovering -- not to assist, but to monitor her. It felt intrusive and unnecessary. As Latina women, we know what this kind of treatment feels like. It's subtle, but you feel it deeply. And this felt racially motivated -- like my sister wasn't worth the same courtesy or care. It's not something we say lightly, but this experience was a reminder of how people can still be made to feel small in spaces that should be warm and welcoming. The only reason I'm not standing in that bakery speaking to the manager face-to-face is because I live seven hours away. Otherwise, I would've shown up myself -- calmly and respectfully -- to advocate for my sister and let them know how much this interaction hurt her. For Hollister, this bakery is decent. Unfortunately over the years the customer service has been on a downward trend as well as the quality of ingredients used in their pastries. When you walk in, there is a chance you could be greeted with an off putting "Hello, welcome in..." and the attitude of the workers gives off somewhat of an inconvenienced feeling. No one seems happy to work there, unless they are talking amongst themselves. Regarding the pastries, the chocolate croissant no longer uses chocolate batons - which is what you traditionally find as a main ingredient in chocolate croissants. It seems as if they began using poor quality chocolate chips or some type of paste they think resembles chocolate?? I'm not sure what it is. I bought them a while back and just chalked it up to it being an off day or running out of ingredients. So my BFF brought me and another friend here for the first time so that we can try their foods. First, Kat (I don't know if I spell her name right) is so awesome! Very pleasant to talk to, respectful and made sure that we have everything we ordered, asked and need. I would give her a 10 stars for her excellent service. All the years I've lived here in Hollister I've overlooked how awesome The Heavenly Bakery is! One morning my bf & I had a appointment we got done with early and were craving a breakfast burrito. I came on Yelp to look around and came across Heavenly Bakery. Everything looked good so I called in the order for 2 breakfast burritos. I went to pick up my order & it was very busy but smelled great and alot of fresh baked items. Which was nice to see. They were very on top of having my order ready. Shaoow!!! When I booked our wedding venue I already knew Carlos (the owner of Heavenly Bakery) had to do our wedding cake. I have been going to Heavenly for years now, and their pastries are always good. I asked Carlos to make us a 3 tier cake, not to sweet cause my family is "boring" lol jkjk. But real talk, Carlos has hella years in experience to balance the sweetness out from the filling to the frosting. The fun part was the cake tasting, I wanted to try them all!! Lol the list of flavors Carlos can make starts from chocolate on chocolate to funfetti. Being totally stuck on all the flavors, we asked Carlos what would be good for our guest. He gave us 3 cakes to take home and try out... We ended up picking all of them lol If Carlos would of have us 5 flavors to try, I know we would of end up with a 5 tier cake lol. On the day of the wedding, it was delivered and prepared for everyone to see. Carlos creativity matched our Hunter green and gold wedding theme and of course it tasted bomb af too. Our guest and family members that aren't from Hollister, asked where was the It cake made from and who made it. First off, I just want apologize for my pictures today as it won't do the food justice since I began eating beforehand. Today, 09/19/22, I stepped into The Heavenly Bakery for the first time. A young waitress greeted us with a smile and a "Welcome in!". It had a good amount of people on a Monday morning (good sign!) We Shortly after got seated and began to browse the menu. It was a good size, but not overbearing they kept their categories at a minimum which was great! I started off with a Mocha, I'm no coffee expert so I can't describe notes or any of that fancy stuff but it was absolutely delicious. It wasn't scolding hot so you could drink it without worrying about burning your mouth off before your food comes! It wasn't too sweet but the taste off coffee was amazing. I ordered the All Meat Burrito today, it's a great portion size enough for you to consume without feeling gross after. It was filled with Eggs, Potatoes, Sausage, Bacon, and Ham, it also had cheese! It had a great taste to it, I like to put hot sauce on mine they had tapatío there so I put that on there! It wasn't salty which is an absolute plus to me because sometimes I feel like when restaurants add bacon it over powers the dish and it makes it overly salty. This however was perfect, the bacon didn't steal the show so to speak. It paired perfectly with everything else going on in the burrito. The House made Salsa had a good taste to it, wasn't spicy whatsoever and that's fine as it can cater to a wide variety of people and like I said, they have hot sauce on the table to you can add the spice to your liking. Overall it was a great experience the waitresses checked up on us accordingly ready to cater to us with a smile and we left feeling Full & Happy with the experience. Didn't feel rushed to hurry up and go. I have no bad things to say. This place is great and deserves more recognition. It's also all reasonably priced as well! Oh, and they also have pastries so after you finish eating you can walk back to the front and get yourself a tasty little desert to eat now, or save for later. I walked in and was greeted with a friendly good morning. There was a lot of pastries on display and they all looked heavenly. The girl working the front , Eliana had amazing customer service. I ordered the eggs Benedict and tea and she was patient with me when I was deciding on what type of tea to get. The dining room was clean and there were lots of places to eat. I got there at the right time because lots of people came inside a couple of minutes later. I really liked that I didn't have to wait that long for my meal to come. When it was presented to me , it made my mouth water. The eggs were so soft and mixed with the sauce, had me thinking "is this what heaven is like" everything tastes fresh and so I devoured all that was edible.
