Do you not have a qualified person to head this department Who knows how to prepare food? Food was barely cooked and cold. Coffee was always cold. One morning all I wanted was yogurt and a banana and coffee. True fact banana was frozen. So was my roommates. I am not a picky eater, but the food served was beyond edible. I became nauseated from not eating. Came home like that. It truly is sad that the food is so bad when everyone there is so great.

Like wow fresh construction or something. We accidentally went in the front building but the person working up front there quickly and kindly redirected us to the back building of the location. We went in and the person working the front desk was very nice. At first glance it looks really nice and luxurious. The dining area is so well done and our little one had to go potty before we went up and the bathrooms were clean, modern, and very nice as well. All staff we passed said hello and was very friendly. From what I was told and what I saw while there our family member is being well taken care of here. I would from what I've seen recommend them. Now they do have some violations received in the past and fines paid which you can find linked from their Yelp listing and follow that to medicare site that shows everything fines and violations. So that is information that I think is worth having to be able to really see everything and know what has been found. I saw Dr. Haslett almost 10 years ago, so this information may not be relevant anymore (I hope…read moreshe's gotten better) but I thought it would still be important to share. I saw Dr. Haslett as an adolescent because I was suffering from what I now know is Bipolar Type II and ADHD-PI. Dr. Haslett misdiagnosed me with Seasonal Affect Disorder (SAD was disputed at the time and later dismissed as being not real), and told me to take vitamin D supplements and spend more time outside as a treatment. Even at the time, she seemed unsure of what she diagnosed me with and obviously, given my real diagnoses, her "treatment" didn't do anything. I continued to spiral in my depression despite what she did do, which was very minimal. I don't know at the time (around 2014-15 I think) how much experience she had, but it didn't seem like much. Me, as a shy 14 year old, had to lead the therapy/conversation (I also never saw a therapist before then) because all she did was sit there and say nothing. She also didn't listen to me very well. I remember one time she assumed I was being bullied when I wasn't, and refused to concede even when I told her directly that what she thought wasn't correct. Later, when I came out to her as transgender, she first "diagnosed" me with it, and then wanted to tell my parents. I was against this, but she insisted. I picked up that she looked kind of offended in some way. It seemed to me that she just wanted to tell my mom (she knew my mom personally). Why? I don't know. Given some reviews on other sites and my own experience, it seems like she's anti-LGBT or at the very least a TERF, but I can't say for sure. Maybe she assumed my mom would yell at me (she did). After she outed me to my parents, I stopped seeing her (about 2015). Mainly because I was trying to fix my relationship with my parents, because her outing completely destroyed what little rapport we had. At the time, I was furious at Dr. Haslett, and to a point I'm still angry, but I'm mostly confused on how she thought this was the best way to handle my situation. At the very least she's careless, and at the very most, she's malicious. *I wouldn't recommend her if you're LGBT, just to be safe.* Sorry for the word vomit.

Apparently, they do not accept appointments by phone; instead only people with smart phones and the internet can access care here. And yes, some people do exist who don't have those things. Anyway, the woman on the phone said the online scheduling was necessary to prevent people with COVID from entering the office. If we are still trembling in fear of a scam-demic then at this point I don't know what to say. I bet these are the type of tyrants who probably refused to treat the filthy unvaccinated at one point. The woman on the phone was absolutely belligerent and hung up on me. Thinks not the only podiatry office in Johnstown so I'll be taking my business elsewhere. If you are elderly or disabled and cannot make an appointment electronically, find a more compassionate doctor who is willing to be more accessible to you.

*Keep looking if you are in need of Physical Therapy…read more I called this place to get some physical therapy done as it was recommended by my doctor following surgery. When I called and asked if they had a PT program for my condition, they did not but where confident they could 'come up with something' to fit the condition. Strike one! Already I was a bit skeptical. When I told them what I was looking for, in regards to modalities, to accompany my PT program, they didn't have them and tried to talk me out of asking for those. Strike two! I wanted to schedule an appointment to just see how things were at this place, but they were into high-pressure tactics and said that they would only see me to do an initial intake consultation, which was not free. They told me to bring my script with me, but the doctor did not issue one (and I'll explain in a second why). All of a sudden, they couldn't see me or take me on as a PT client until I had a script. I called my doctor's office and was stunned to learn that this Crossroads was lying to me!! My doctor's office informed me that my state was a Direct Access State for PT and that a script was not needed. I called Crossroads back and confronted them with the fact that they lied to me about this. All of a sudden the owner/main PT got on the phone and oh how the story changed - "Well, while it is true that a script is not required, we still like to have one." I told him he was breaking the law in my state by forcing people to bring in a script when it was not needed. Strike three! STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. Also, they were one of the highest priced PT centers in my area. They billed you for ever 15 minutes you were actually there. Ridiculous!! If your insurance doesn't cover PT or you don't have insurance, be prepared to shell out A LOT of money to go here! They clearly were in the business to rake in the moolah. When I asked about a cash-paying patient discount, as I learned other PT centers in my area offered that, they said that they would not do that. It was full price or no services at all. Everything was billed piecemeal. VERY EXPENSIVE. Do yourself a favor and shop around before you go with this place for your PT needs.

I was transferred to Latrobe Hospital from Westmoreland Hospital. The difference was like night and…read moreday. The staff at Westmoreland were mean. Not helpful at all. I needed a bed change and the blue haired nurse said she would be back as she left the room. An hour later my niece came in and I told her that I wasn't being taken care of. She said she passed the blue haired nurse sitting in the nurses station. My niece changed my bed for me. I asked for a new IV bag because it was finished. She said no it's not ordered. Bull! I know I needed lots of fluid since I wasn't allowed to drink. The PA badgered me. Saying that if I didn't get contrast for an CT scan I would have to leave the hospital against medical advice. She said no other hospital would take me without using the contrast. It was elder abuse! Well at 3 AM I was transferred to Latrobe Hospital. I thought I was in heaven. The employees (mostly nurses) were helpful and kind. They took care of me without the bit--ing of the WH. If ever I need an Emergency Room visit it will not be Westmoreland hospital. I'm done with them! Latrobe Hospital is wonderful. The nurses couldn't have been more helpful. They settled my nerves by treating me with respect.

The doctors, nurses, and rest of the staff were very friendly. I had my own private room, which was clean and well kept. I was treated very well, and if I had a choice, this would be the hospital I would prefer to go to every time.
