HORRIBLE ATTORNEY!!! MALPRACTICE!! She modified my husbands child custody and child support, never filed the signed order with the Attorney generals office and now they've frozen my bank accounts. I have lost access to $9,000 when I owe no child support, have been taken off child support almost a year ago and I have 50/50 custody of my children. She won't answer the phone, answers emails once a week if you're lucky. Doesn't care about her clients. Wish we would have read reviews beforehand. I knew i would have an extremely difficult divorce. From day one Lauren told me she would handle my case with dignity and get me divorced as quickly as possible and she did. Lauren is simply a bad lawyer. She was more interested in her tennis career than my divorce. I went days and weeks without her responding to my communication. And she claimed to have a paralegal that did her routine work, but always charged me her rate. I fired her when I found out about the Tennis. And she claimed I owed about $200 at the time. I asked for a full refund. Well, she just stopped communication and that was it. The last thing she had was my best interest in an emotional time. She quoted us ~$2,500 for an adoption, so I budgeted $3,000. She bills us for $4,250. She emailed us the original paperwork at the last minute before going on vacation, and they were incorrect. I had to fix them myself (incorrect name, gender; incorrect birth parents names), and they looked like they were templates that I had found on the web. It really seemed like she spent an entire 30 minutes on preparing our documents. So I spent the hour to read and correct them all. We repeatedly attempted to contact her for information, and timing, during our process, and she was nearly impossible to get ahold of. Either she "didn't get the email", or "didn't get the message" (left with her receptionist). Further, she charged $60 for answering an email or returning a phone call...about 4 minutes' worth of time. The first time we couldn't get ahold of her, she finally called back after 4 days and said "sorry I didn't get back to you, it was my daughter's graduation"...like we were best friends instead of customers. I'd certainly avoid her services, as I found her to be unprofessional, and terrible in customer service. read more

I hired Lauren represent me in a divorce. I expressed to her that it could be a difficult one and the fact that I was diagnosed with cancer and I probably would not be able to assist much. Once she was given the retainer everything she said in the initial conference went out the window. She wanted to rush to file the divorce, because she wanted to get her served. We didn't even know where she was, and even though she asked me to review the petition and let her know if anything needed to get changed, which I did, she still filled the same wrong petition. Overall, you will never call her office and get anyone one the phone, or a return call. Emails that you send will not get read and she won't answer them either. She became upset when I disputed her payment with the bank, even though if she would read any of the emails, I in fact did tell her. She then creatively made up an invoice for exactly the amount she was given, and yet all she did was file a petition that was not agreed upon. So if you want an attorney that listen to you and act upon what they hear, or one that you can communicate with, SHE IS NOT THE ONE TO HIRE.
