We began with glasses of Moet and Chandon 2016 Grand Vintage which was exceptional while our girls enjoyed cocktails! Then we ordered some light bites : the cheese ans charcuterie plates that were very generous for the price ( 21 GBP for three selections) and the truffle Brie was delicious!! It was served along side seeded crackers . We also enjoyed the bread plate and the caviar selection! It was the perfect amount of food and I rounded it out with a glass o my Moet Rose! The bar is beautiful. It feels like the treat it is. Once we found the bar (follow the signs), we were seated at the bar quickly. I ordered a glass of Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2016, while my husband ordered one of their cocktails, the Rendez-vous in Capri (Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial, Mandarine Napoléon, Amaro Montenegro, Campari). We also ordered some oysters - 2 Irish Carlingford Oysters and 2 French Gillardeau Oysters (the oysters were dressed with fresh lime, coriander & red chilli dressing, and Thai fish sauce, garnished with Korean red pepper crispy shallots). I thought the dressing of the oysters was missing a touch of acidity, but the oysters themselves were good. The service was okay. The staff are clearly very friendly with each other, and - while I love to see people having a good time at work - it did slow down service quite a bit (it took us a while to get someone over to take our order; I think because they all thought someone else had already done it). Was it a perfect happy hour? Not necessarily. But it's a special place that felt like a treat. Trying to get people to leave in order to save money is only going to get you poor recommendations and results in the long-run.

The dessert tray had fresh strawberries, delicious butter cookies, meringue pieces and dips that included chocolate ganache, chantilly creme, lemon curd, and a pink chocolate. We all agreed that the pink chocolate wasn't very good and the strawberries were tasty but certainly not the best we've ever had. The portions are meant to be shared, and we all left not needing anything else to eat. The whole experience was very fun and indulgent. One thing Harrods needs to work on it making sure employees know that this lounge is actually in the store. We asked several employees and nobody knew there even was a champagne lounge. We found this speakeasy on Yelp and didn't have reservations but got in anyways. The entry door is very subtle and once inside you need to plead your case to gain entry. Your case would be a mystery you are working to solve. We had a lot of fun with this part and our improv skills were put to the test. After being allowed through the secret entrance, you enter a 1930's prohibition style well decorated bar. All the staff are dressed the part and act the part. The drinks are in a casebook style booklet and have handwritten descriptions of the choices. We each had a couple of the drinks and really enjoyed them. The staff even comes around and mingles with you if you want. Most of the talk is the acting about your case or the general conversations of the Prohibition era. We really had fun here and were laughing a lot and found the experience very stimulating. I highly recommend going here when in London. It is a super fun experience.
