Several years ago I purchased a box to have my very old photos scanned and put on a thumb drive. It took me years to sort through thousands of pictures of my son birth through graduation from high school. I frequently stopped in with questions about which pictures could be copied because of copyright laws. Sara, who does the tedious work of scanning everyone's precious memories helped me many times with great patience when I had questions. I once showed her a picture that was very important to me of my son and me swimming with a dolphin in Florida and I asked her if I needed to call the place in Florida to get permission to have it copied. She told me yes and then said, "Let me try and call them right now for you." She called them and got the permission that day so this special picture could be scanned and added to the thumb drive. Who does that? Who would take the time from their busy work day to personally call to get permission for a customer for one picture. Sara, that's who would do it! She loves what she does and she takes a personal interest in each person's pictures knowing how important it is to preserve these memories for each family. She is a very important employee at Mike"s Camera and she is just a very special person with a kind loving heart.

She didn't even think to ask me if she could open it she just assumed. Brand new camera doesn't need inspecting and I wasn't trying to sell it I was looking to see the value. She couldn't even tell me that. Worst first time experience I've ever had walking into any retail establishment.

It worked, but pictures seemd just a toch softer than normal, and the zoom ring was EXTREMELY stiff between 14 and 16mm. I suffered through with probably my second favorite lens being in sub-optimal repair for quite some time, becaue Nikon quoted $600 for the repair. And, I could still make it zoom, and the focus worked. But I decided it was time to get it fixed, so I started Googling around. With 2 day shipping back, Rick at Discount Camera Repair had my lens back to me in perfect shape for $140. I think it's working better than ever now, seems more accurate in its focus.
