My previous dentist apparently retired and sold her business to a partner -- without notifying patients. I found this out by both driving past the office and that voice/emails had a different name attached. I didn't care for this at all. Also, I no longer live near that dentist, so I decided to look for a new one. I found Laurich Dentistry online and checked the reviews, and decided to try it. First of all, the office is bright and cheery. The waiting room is large and inviting. And the staff all seems happy; I heard a lot of laughing while I was there. The second thing is that, instead of old posters, they actually have TWO televisions in the rooms -- one on the wall and one on the ceiling -- so that you can completely relax during the appointment. I don't get nervous at the dentist, but I found this to be very much a patient-centered idea. Third, they were extremely thorough. They took several different kinds of x-rays and 3D images of my teeth. Both the hygienist (whose name I've forgotten, but I believe it starts with an A -- I want to say Aziza?) and Dr. Matt went over with me what they saw. I've never seen my teeth like that before! One of the things that I really appreciated was that the hygienist realized that I have a small mouth, so rather than making me jam the larger x-ray device in my mouth (which has always been uncomfortable in the past), she found a smaller one. I was referred to Laurich dentistry in Farmington Hills. I needed to get implants and my dentist also with Laurich dentistry in Canton, Michigan at the time did not do implants so he referred me to Dr. Matt From the time I walked in the office, I felt like I had been there many times the girls at the front desk were very friendly and made me feel comfortable . When I met Dr. Matt, he of course, was very friendly and professional plus explained in detail exactly what he would be doing and made sure I understand what was going to happen . WOW, I thought I loved this practice as a patient, then I saw how amazing they were when I brought my 3-year-old here for her first cleaning. Kim was SO sweet when she first came out to meet my little one, making her instantly comfortable. From there, she truly treated her as an individual, telling her what she was going to do in language she could understand, ensuring to make every part fun. She even asked if things were ok (when appropriate of course) to allow her to be involved. When it was time to get the dentist once over, Dr Munday was also just amazing and caring, and ensured to allow me to have the time to ask any questions I had. We actually had a run in with her visiting following a chipped tooth incident, and they were amazing during that brief visit as well. The dentist was very kind, and they never even asked for my insurance information for her, just saw her as soon as possible to soothe my panic. As an adult patient, I also love this office. It's high tech, where I'm able to see all of what's going on with cameras and X-Rays. The office staff is always very kind and welcoming, and the lobby has refreshments and video games. I had an emergency, broken tooth. I called Farmington Hills office and they were able to accommodate me almost immediately. I am bad with names but all 4 folks ( receptionist, nurse, doctor and receptionist) took great care of me. After 2 x-rays the doctor put a temporary filling and we already setup a second appointment for the crown that even more important. I am pretty sure they will take good care of me. So welcoming in there. Very charming and modern in there. They have a keurig machine at your disposal. When you get in the dentist chair, they have a TV right above you, AND in front of you. I've taken my kids (4yo and 2yo) to three dentist appointments and Laurich was the first place I went where they not only cooperated but were happy to do so! They were able to get full cleanings for the first time in both of their lives. My older son walked out and said that was nice. I think the difference wasn't just in having TVs on the ceiling and wall, but it was the way our hygienist explained what each tool was for and let them try it out before she put it in her mouth. She called them things like Mr. Thirsty. She was incredibly lighthearted and great at building trust with my kids. He was bawling at the last place we went! I'm 100% satisfied with Laurich. I switched after my favorite hygienist left my regular dentist.. I didn't care for the new one. At Laurich, Everything from the front desk staff, to the hygienist & Dentist was top notch. I had to return for a filing and it was virtually pain free. They numbed the area first with a Gel and then Novocaine(I assume) & the Dentist kept asking if I was doing alright. My family and I were looking for a good dental clinic when we moved in the area. The ones with best reviews was Laurich dentistry. We did all the recommend cleaning/fillings every few months and were overall happy. All until my husband's last cleaning session where they saw a little shadow on the xray and decided he needs to do a filling. Note, he had no pain whatsoever before that. A young doctor was put in charge with the procedure (a new doctor to the clinic as we were later told). As my husband had a negative past experience where a nerve was damaged during a filling, he expressed those worries to dr. He was assured that there is a very low probability of that happening and extra precautions will be taken. After an hour of drilling and all the work was done, my husband was sent home. He was in pain for a week, with the tooth extremely sensitive to hot and cold. We took an appointment with the office again where a different doctor was all ready with all the answers before even seeing the xrays. Obviously they said dr. did everything good and just too bad but "you need a root canal as your nerve might get into abscess if untreated". That is a few days before Christmas. I am not a dentist but if you are a good doctor and experienced, i think you can be honest and tell the person beforehand, hey, this filling is deep, chances are you might need a root canal. What do you want to do? Because i can guarantee that most people will choose NOT to go into Christmas break with an abscess. Even if you start drilling and you see it is worse that what you've seen in the xray. Just stop, talk, explain to the patient what's going on. BE HONEST. Needless to say we are frustrated, with out of pocket expenses for a root canal before the holidays and a good amount of pain (Dr. recommended pain killers..thanks, I wish we thought of that) Bottom line: I would not recommend this dental office anymore. read more

Terrible dentists they almost hurt my aunt really bad with doing a bad job that ended with an abscess. And the second time she had a very bad infection when some new person they hired pulled out her tooth.
