Today was my second visit/cleaning at this practice. From the minute you walk in, you are impressed. Besides being a beautiful practice, it is super clean. The front desk is on top of things, checking you in, scheduling, accurately billing, etc. They are a well oiled machine. When it comes to cleaning, my husband loves his hygienist there, but I think my hygienist, Mena, is the best! My teeth are super clean, and my gums have actually improved. Mena is so thorough, telling you everything that is going on, explaining step by step what she is doing, and giving you suggestions that actually work! She is amazing! So far so good! Been in here twice and the people have been top notch that I have encountered. Safety measures are enforced and they're friendly about it too which is cool. Cleaning was solid! First cleaning I've ever had where they used a waterpik before poking around and scraping the build up off the teeth. Felt like I had a clean mouth when I left so bonus/ excellent. Doc is a good dude for the 2 min you see him. He listens, gives good advice. Easy going and knows his stuff. Office is fine; best part is the tv in the ceiling for when you're reclined during inspection. Nice not to stare at a light or the hygienist's mask all hour. We have been coming here since we moved to the area and couldn't be happier with the office. Everyone is so welcoming from the minute you walk in. We're always greeted with a smile by the receptionist Natasha. My 3 and 4 year olds are treated so well by the hygienists and don't have the same fear of going to the dentist that many kids have. Dr. Geller has a wonderful bedside manner and doesn't rush his time with patients, and he happily answers any questions. My kids are always excited to leave and pick a toy from the treasure chest on the way out. Dr. Geller has been my dentist for over a year now. I had moved to West Bloomfield and did not know where to go, so I took a chance on him based on his reviews. I am really happy with my decision to go there - he is truly a great dentist! Very positive, patient and professional, and always listens to my concerns and answers all of my questions. He is gentle while he works and you will not feel rushed out, and he has a very nice, professional staff who all say they love working for him each time I mention to them how nice he is. I have since moved to Clawson and still drive across town to Novi to continue seeing him. He redid some old bonding on my front tooth as well as some additional bonding I needed done on two other teeth, and he did a fantastic job. I was nervous how it would look when he was done and was pleasantly surprised at how nice he made everything look! If I ever decided to have more extensive/expensive cosmetic work done, I feel like I could trust him 100%. He also did some fillings and I did not feel any pain during each procedure. I didn't realize how much better my mouth felt until after they were done. I always had terrible sensitivity on certain teeth and had just gotten used to it. Now it is no longer a problem. I had pain on one side of my mouth after receiving a filling at my previous dentist over a year ago, and Dr. Geller fixed it in less than five minutes by filing down a spot on the filling that had been too tall and was messing up my bite. Had cracked a really bad tooth and needed a new dentist. My friend recommended Dr. Geller and I'm so glad she did. Dr Geller is very gentle and makes sure you are comfortable. I first met Dr. Geller in 2004 and had some fillings refilled before I moved out of town. He did a fantastic job! Last week, I was back in town, was having some pain and found out that my dental insurance was "valid" in Michigan as well. In the state where I currently reside, I went to 3 different dentists and felt that they were just after my good dental insurance...in other words, they were "scammers" and did mediocre work. Not so with Dr. Geller. He is a dentist who is trustworthy and honest. When I arrived at Dr. Gellers office last week, I was greeted by his receptionist, CeeCee (sp?) who was a joy to talk to. Stacey was the hygienist who assisted Dr. Geller. She was down to earth, professional, and made me feel relaxed. After examining my teeth and x-rays, it was determined that I had some work that needed to be done. Dr. Geller was great in explaining what needed to be done and what options I had. The dentists I've seen in the past, never explained things thoroughly and made me feel as though I had no say in what needed to be done, not so with Dr. Geller. I never felt as though he was rushing through to see other patients, he was very gentle, and often checked to see if I was in any pain or discomfort. Watching the flat screen television he had over my chair certainly helped me to keep my mind off all the drilling. The best part of all was that I didn't feel any pain! I come back to this part of the country at least 2x/year. I have decided that I will see Dr. Geller for my biannual cleanings/check-ups because he is an excellent dentist. Man this place is gorgeous. But to be fair, that isn't what I look for in a dentist. What I look for is for my dentist to be visible, do great work, have openings and low wait time, and a good/understanding staff... and this place satisfies all of those qualifications and more. From reception, to hygienists, to the dentist, they are so nice and welcoming. I've never waited more than 5 minutes in the waiting room, which is almost a bummer because it is gorgeous. It feels like a lodge almost. I might start coming in here to drink a cocktail or two on my way home from work. I was never one to hate going to the dentist; however, I was one that always hated to floss. I always feel a little guilty coming in here after flossing for the week before but not for the 2 months prior. They are always really nice about reminding me of that awful mentality as well! Bottom line is they are going to take really good care of your teeth. I've never had a problem with any of the work that was done and he is available to fix or make adjustments as well. They are really good about using up your insurance and minimizing the burden on you. Now some people may get discouraged by this but really, you are taking advantage of the insurance you've earned and paid for. They aren't about to recommend things you don't need any work done is absolutely helpful. I've never gone to the dentist as much as I have since finding Justin Geller, but to be honest, my teeth have never looked this great either! read more

It's insane to compare going to the dentist and going to the day spa, right? My first teeth cleaning with Dr. Gellar's team was nothing short of luxurious. I usually experience sensitivity after a teeth cleaning, but my routine cleaning today was entirely painless. The staff was cheerful, friendly, polite, and professional. The TVs on the ceiling provide a next-level customer service experience. My only complaint is that my appointment was over before I got to see the end of the HGTV episode I was watching so I have no idea if they made a profit on their home flip. read more

Robert M's review: The appointment: I arrive 15 minutes early. Dr. Geller meets me in the lobby and introduces himself as Justin Geller - not Dr. Geller - I like it when doctors don't see a need to say Dr. at each meeting... [as an aside...I generally only call myself Dr. (not a 'real Dr' but a PhD) when others insist on being called Dr.] Dr. Geller tells me he is meeting with the staff and they'll be out shortly. A short time later I am in the chair and the appointment is off to a grand start. The waiting room is small, clean and functional and best of all I didn't do too much waiting. The staff examine, x-ray and take a lot of measurements at the initial visit. I am a researcher at heart and appreciate having baseline assessments. Several pictures are taken which are displayed on a iPad after the exam to show areas of concern. There is a TV and a remote control in the exam room and I click between the riots in London and the stock market open after the S&P downgrade - both of which make a visit to the dentist like a walk in the park. The remote was a bit finicky but functional. Cleaning goes well. Insurance coverage is clearly explained and I can opt for more services if I'd like or not - either way seems fine - very soft sell on additional services. I appreciate their understanding on my insurance coverage. Dr. Geller's staff was not able to track down previous records prior to my visit. However, at the visit and shortly thereafter they made several calls in an attempt to find some old records. They were able to find files from Dr. Schaub in AA and were told my records didn't exist by my dentist in SoCal (I am calling him now) - I appreciate Dr. Geller's team tracking these down. Everyone was friendly and the appointment went well. I have a follow-up appointment to schedule and I'll update the review following the next visit. -ORIGINAL REVIEW- If you've seen my reviews you know I sold my surf board and recently returned to the great lakes state. I am now looking for regular places to eat, play and seek medical\dental care in my home state. I came across a few (n=2) reviews for Dr. Geller on Yelp and went to his web site to get more info. His web presence surpasses most dental offices. He appears to offer some of the latest and greatest... I dropped the office an email to inquire about an appointment (a basic cleaning and examination appointment) and received a call the next day. The appointment is set with ease and within 2 weeks of the call I should be in the examination chair. There was a push to get the name of my last dentist and a promise to track down my last set of x-rays... we'll see shortly if they are successful. Apparently there is a contest as well.... any patient that writes a Yelp review for Dr. Geller is entered in a contest to win an iPad2.... this incentive should boost the quantity of reviews over the next few weeks. I would never go to another dentist. I live out of Michigan, but I make SURE to schedule a dentist appointment when it's time. The staff is great, the hygienists are excellent. And of course Dr. Geller is the best. A couple of added bonuses; always plenty of parking at his top of the line office, tv's on the ceiling so you can watch tv to help the time go by when in the chair, and the appointment text reminders are all extra reasons to go to Dr. Geller. Went to see Dr. Geller about six months ago for a badly needed tooth cleaning. I was told by an assistant that they would clean the upper right and lower right at one visit and the upper left and lower left at another visit. I asked how long it would take? I was told that due to the fact that I needed a deep cleaning, it would take between 11/2 and two hours per side. So it would take between 3 and 4 hours in total. I was told that the total cost due to the time would be $800 for the total cleaning. Considering the time needed, I agreed to have the procedure done. Dr. Geller "examined" my teeth for 5 minutes and they took complete X-rays which took less than 10 minutes. My first visit lasted half and hour and my second visit lasted only one hour. When I went to leave I was told that the total cost would be $1000. A total rip off. I wrote Dr. Geller and he reduced the total amount by $200. That was nice but the cleaning was $800 for one and a half hours. This dentist is unethical and only interested in the money in my opinion. Find someone else. read more

I was referred to Dr. Geller's office by one of my coworkers. The initial phone call with Alyssa to schedule my appointment was extremely pleasant. She helped me get in for an appointment much sooner than I had anticipated and I was very surprised they were able to get me in so fast. The front staff are all very pleasant and you feel very at ease as soon as you walk in the door. Dr. Geller was a breath of fresh air and I could see why my coworker referred him. He addressed the issues I presented with and was even able to get me in for a deep cleaning that afternoon because they had a cancellation even though they were extremely busy. Nora the hygienist was amazing during my deep cleaning and really discussed with me about my periodontal problems and explained what to expect in the future regarding cleanings and preventative care. Go figure I would have a cavity as well, but Nora was able to get Dr. Geller to fill it since I was still numbed up so I wouldn't need to come back for that. All in all, amazing experience. I'm so glad to have found a new dentist with amazing staff that support him. You can really tell they all take care of each other and it's amazing to hear all of the employees talk so well about each other and the great things they do. read more

I believe, all reviews are fake. Unbelievably greedy!!! The doctor will drill every tooth and deeply into your pocket!!! I came to his office to talk about invisalign. I brought xrays. The doctor and nurse were inspecting my mouth for 40 minutes and found issues almost in every tooth. Two other independent doctors said everything was alright. They did extra cleaning, extra xray... I had two insurances at that time. They were able to charge both of my insurances plus $45 out of my pocket for the regular cleaning, at the same time one insurance is more then enough for such routine at normal doctors office! If you need some work, please, do not destroy my teeth, I do not regrow them over the time. read more
