They over charged my brand new ac compressor with 290 psi, once I went to check the lines because my ac wouldn't stop cycling, it shot so much uv dye out of it I got a full 32 oz out of it. They put a (used) re-manufactured caliper on my car, it started sticking and they melted my wheel speed sensor to the wheel hub assembly. I've had nothing but red flag after red flag from them. I've got a new to me 2016 Z06 Corvette, a beautiful car with only 2800 miles and a terrible out of balance Michelin Sport Cup 2 run flat tires. I'd tried another outfit in Quincy, Illinois that said they could balance these, but didn't. i've had a Rpad Force balance done on a previous 2014 Stingray but no one in Quincy, Illinois would touch these massive tires/wheels on this car. I found Lauterbach Tire online in Springfield, Illinois and lucked out!! They are my tire people from now on. They said they had the Road Force machine, could handle the job and we set an appointment. Kyle worked on my car for 2 1/2 plus hours and allowed me to watch the process with this Hunter Road Force machine. Even though this is a state of the art machine it's still a project and he stayed with it and gave me the best possible tire/wheel balance possible with these tires. This was absolutely the worse experience I had with a shop. I had a flat tire in the parking lot next to luaderback on Saturday. We wear unable to get lug nuts off ourself.I left my vehicle and filled a slip for them to change my tire with the spare I had in the back. ​I called Monday morning right when they open to see how much it was going be. Mark was extremely rude to me. Told me he had 30 cars ahead of me and he would call me back. I never received a call back with a price quote. When I did receive a call that my vehicle was done and the price was 234.00 to change a tire. My paperwork said 201.00 in labor. I was never asked before service if I was okay with the price. I would of NEVER agreed to that price. They absolutely robbed me and when I went to pickup my vehicle and asked why so much to change a tire when I had the tire. MARK started screaming and cussing me out. (I have it on video) we ended up in a huge altercation. I was shaking when I left there. The worse experience I have had dealing with a business. I will be posting the video all over social media and filling a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. read more

I took my truck there for an oil change. They didn't keep me waiting for two hours like my dealership does. I was in and out. They are inexpensive and got the job done. Have gotten oil changes in the past, had to replace oil drain plug last time as it was stripped when we went to do the next... Had rotors replaced afterwards only to realize later the lug nuts were extremely overtightened, as were the caliper bolts (one completely stripped) Did the lauterbach man himself service our vehicle?! Thankful we found out at home rather than the side of the road. Needless to say we wont be coming back. read more

I wanted a specific Michelin tire for my car. It was Thursday evening and I was heading out of town Friday about Noon. Bad/snow storm weather was coming in 24 hours. I called Discount Tire, Pomps and the Firestone service center. All could get the tire but not till Monday. I called Lauterbach as one final hail Mary and he said they didn't have it in stock but one of their providers IN TOWN had it. Okay, so here's the next issue. I needed it installed Friday morning because I was going out of town and would be traveling potentially in big snow/ice. Answer: Yes, "If you can have it here by 8:30a I can have you out by 10:30." Boom! So they were able to get a tire faster than everyone else AND in the end they were within pennies of Discount Tire and cheaper than all the others. I had the car there early Friday, it was done as they promised. On the road I went. Perfect. Nice job! read more

I went there because of a check engine light. They changed spark plugs and serpentine belt and up to 700 bucks of other stuff... the whole while knowing my car was on its last leg (bad engine). When the check engine light came on again I took it elsewhere and was told it didn't have long and that whoever had done all that work knew it as soon as they ran the diagnostic. Piss poor customer service took a dolly a two-handed wheel moving Appliance to see if the tires were just flat or if they needed. it was 4: 45 ....they are open till 530...I told them that I just needed to see if they need new tires or if it just needs air and the missing tooth person at the counter was like well the guys are closing up now so can you bring it back tomorrow you're open till 5 why would I want to bring it back till tomorrow screw you when else we're all it needed was air which you could have checked yourself and I will burn in hell before I come to your place again I hope you all have a great life read more
