We rented a party bus for a concert (both to and from) and were not disappointed! Our driver, Daryl (Darrell? Y'all should have a sign with your drivers' names...) was ten minutes EARLY, took group photos for us and was both fun and professional. His driving skills were fantastic (maneuvering around parked cars in a Royal Oak neighborhood can be a pain)! The bus itself was great! Temperature settings and radio were easily accessible and Bluetooth capable so we could connect a playlist from a phone with ease. The lights were fun and added to the mood. It was stocked with ice, cups, napkins, and a bottle of bubbly on ice. We also brought a cooler + food and the driver was so kind to move the cooler for us and even offer to take it off the bus but it was pouring out and we didn't want him to get soaked. We booked a limo to and from metro airport for our 25th anniversary trip and the service we received was jot satisfactorily. The drivers were not helpful, the vehicle was dirty and ducted taped. The passenger door did not close right and I felt like the door was going to fly open at any minute. The driver did not even notify us he was there. So we decided to rent a Cadillac Escalade limo for our wedding day. This was our first time using lavdas and we were really impressed! It was the perfect size for our wedding party which was 10 people including the 2 of us. The inside was super clean and looked beautiful!! There was a really good bottle of champagne complimentary of lavdas. Kenneth was our driver. He was so cool, friendly and accommodating to all of our requests! He took us to a few different locations for our pictures. As we were at our second location for pictures it started to lightly rain. Kenneth got out his umbrella for us and gifted it to us as a little keepsake from our special day which I thought was super sweet! He got us to our locations in a timely manner and the drive was super smooth. The sound system was amazing and we had the best day ever!! He dropped us off at our reception and shortly after he left my maid of honor realized she left her phone in there. We contacted lavdas and shortly after Kenneth returned in the limo with her phone. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! My husband and I used this service for our wedding and I have never been so disrespected in my entire life by a service provider. The manager, Sharna, was so unaccommodating and nasty to both myself and my husband. They sent the shuttle at the incorrect times, leaving my guests stranded and forced to wait until they finally arrived. She went on to tell my husband and I that her shuttle was on time, basically calling us liars. And then told me she refused to sit here and "split hairs" with me over it, and that she was not refunding me any sort of money. She also told my husband that he had a "shit ass attitude", and that "this was the problem with weddings". I then asked to speak to someone above her and she said there was no one above her. When I asked if she was the owner, she proceeded to tell me that "he doesn't deal with that sort of stuff". The driver, Al, was a god send. He was so helpful and did as much as he could to accommodate us as his boss sat on the phone disrespecting my husband. I would not waste any of my money on this HORRIFIC company. read more

Lavdas limosines provided transportation both to and from our wedding event in Dearborn, and a shuttle bus for welcome event the night before (going from Dearborn to Wyandotte and back, multiple times). Their communication was fantastic; the buses arrived early before each event. The shuttles were clean and comfortable and the drivers very professional. I live out of state and was a little worried about this logistics piece, but Lavdas did not disappoint. Highly recommend! Their office staff was simply outstanding with planning. read more

We used this service for our daughters wedding this past weekend to shuttle guests from the Detroit Foundation hotel to the Grosse Pointe War Memorial. We arrived T the venue late because the driver did not take the correct route and went an exit further on the freeway. We missed photos before the ceremony with family because the service ran 30 minutes behind after dropping us off and returning. They should have had two busses running. This created a time crunch in the wedding since pictures were taken with family during the cocktail reception that they missed. The worst however that should not even be legal is during the service from the venue to the hotel the bus had a broken out window with glass shattered all over the seats around the window. There was not an alternate bus available. There was no offer from the company to transport 50 guests using another mode of transportation. We had to brush off glass and pray no one got cut. The contract stated we had the bus until 1 but at midnight the driver informed us he was the last shuttle. He was ready to leave the bride at the curb!! As parents of the bride we are very upset with this service. We will post pictures of the window. Sry sad that this ruined our special day. No response from company. DO NOT USE this service. Fool me twice, shame on me. Two times I hired this company and both times I was completely screwed over with zero compensation. I hired Lavdas Limo for my wedding. On my wedding day, they were 30 minutes late and did not call, leaving my groom wondering if they would ever get there, setting my wedding party behind schedule, and cutting into our precious and priceless photo shoot time, which I will never get back. The cost of their 30 minutes of lateness is more than 30 minutes of limo time. It's 30 minutes of photographer and videographer time, reception hall time, and worst of all was the cost of the stress it caused the groom and me on our wedding day. The response from Lavdas when we reported our experience was "We will give the driver a write-up. Let us know when you need a limo next, and we'll give you a good deal." In the back of my mind, I thought "Never." Then my friend's bachelorette party came up, and we needed a limo. For some ungodly reason, I thought I'd give Ron (the Lavdas Limo manager) a second chance and see what he could do. He offered me a deal that was not impressive. It wasn't until I sent him a Groupon for another limo company that was significantly cheaper than the "great deal" he offered me that he matched the competitor's price. At that point, he was no longer doing anything to make up for the mistake they made at my wedding, they were simply matching a competitor's price. But we signed the contract and hoped for the best. The night of the bachelorette party, we reserved the limo from 8 to 1. It arrived at 7:52 p.m., so at least they weren't late. That's where the success ended. They sent us an 8-10 passenger car and we ordered and paid for a 14-passenger. We had more people than would fit! The driver didn't know how the mistake happened. We called Ron and he said he was embarrassed and that it was all his fault. He said he double and triple checked to make sure it was right, and he didn't know how it happened. At 8:15 p.m., the driver left in the empty limo to take it back to Warren (40 minutes away) and get the larger car. She came back with the proper vehicle at 9:40 p.m. We arrived at our first stop 90 minutes later than we planned, which caused 11 of us to have to pay cover at the bar due to late entry. I explained this to Ron, but he offered no compensation. He said he would give us the limo until 3:30 at "no extra charge." We didn't want the limo until 3:30, we ordered it until 1:00, but since Ron's mistake set us back 2 hours, I would certainly hope he wouldn't charge us for making up the time we had already paid him for! Overall, this company has completely failed me twice. They've offered no compensation other than the verbal promise of a great deal next time, which I tried to take them up on, but they failed me again. Communicating and communicating and communicating with them STILL does not ensure you will receive the service you order and pay for. Buyer beware -- go with another company. I have never used their limo service. I will never use their limo service. I recommend that you find another limo company. A gentleman driving a limo with "LAVDAS" written on side was inside a subdivision in Novi, MI. First, he didn't look when pulling out of a round-about and cut me off. Then at the stop sign, I don't know if he didn't realize I was behind him, but he didn't go when the traffic was completely clear so I gently beeped my horn. (For clarity- I beeped one time, very quickly) He then proceeded to stare at me via his driver side mirror with his middle finger in the air. When I pointed to the traffic that had cleared he sat there with his middle finger in the air. I backed up and proceeded to go around him. He then tried to prevent me from going around him and ran me off the paved road. Of note, he was having his road rage with passengers in his car. Nice treatment to your paying customers- purposeful delay, swerving, attempting to hit the gas hard. I would have hated to be in the back of that limo. read more

My wife and I recently had Lavdas supply a limo for our wedding day. We waited about 2 months before the big day to order the limo so this is probably partially on me, however I didn't expect the limo itself to be in such poor shape. The stretch Lincoln Navigator arrived after the ceremony to pick up the wedding party and take us downtown for pictures. Out of the limo was a stocky man who seemed to be in an already bad mood. He was nice to me, but just seemed not happy to be there. He took us downtown and I could tell he wasn't excited to drive us around the area. It was when I had to roll the window down that I started to notice the inside of limo was really not well taken care of. THe power window button was damaged and pushed in. My finger almost got stuck in the door trying to push the button. I then noticed that the "mini bar" on the inside of the limo was also broken and one of the posts holding it up had been completely dismembered from the table top. There were multiple tears and cuts in the leather and it seemed like someone had almost given us the last possible limo they had. The driver dropped us off at our venue and was rude to my wedding party as they were exiting the limo. The driver later picked us up after the reception in a town car to take us to our hotel. The ride there was more enjoyable, but probably because I was asleep for half of it. Overall I think if I had booked it earlier, a better and enjoyable experience would have taken place, but that doesn't excuse rude service and broken equipment. read more

We had a short run from our hotel, to the chapel then to the reception for our wedding day in September of 2012. Lavdas beat all of my other quotes and really did a great job. The driver was dressed well and very professional, we were on time for everything (He was 45 minutes early for the 1st pickup, which lowered the brides blood pressure a bit before the wedding, which is nice), and the ride was very smooth in a very nice Cadillac Escalade that was just reworked, repainted a pure White and perfectly fit my entire wedding party with a little room to spare. Though it was a short run, I have heard enough horror stories to know that anything can happen. Lavdas was so perfect and professional that I knew I could stop worrying once the driver showed up early and checked in with us and the hotel. I would use Lavdas Limousine for any upcoming event where I needed one, they are professional, courteous, and very attentive to detail! In my discussions with them they were very concerned about using the right size limousine for the party involved as to make sure they were comfortable but not over charged for an unnecessary oversize limo. The interior of the car was extremely clean and comfortable, the driver made sure the guests were all comfortable and in need of anything. I am very impressed by their attention to detail. The driver went the extra mile in finding the home which was not located correctly on his GPS, he was very concerned about arriving late but after a few calls he found the location and still arrived early. We hired Lavdas as shuttle for our wedding guests from our hotel to and from the venue. Our wedding guests were late to the ceremony because they did not hold up their end of the contract by leaving at the clearly written times we agreed on. And they showed early to pick up at the end of the night and did not let anyone know they were there and left with 4 guests on a 25 person bus. We had to call Uber's for people and as the parents of the groom and the entire wedding party we were stuck at the venue sitting on the curb with all of our wedding decorations almost an hour. The driver was disrespectful and could have cared less. When I called Lavdas to talk to the manager about this she was rude and offered no apology wanted to argue with me. Worst limo experience I have ever had.... Going 70mph on the expressway and the air bag suspension popped and the driver continued to drive 70 mph for a few miles until we got off the expressway & to pick up a new limo. We were worried and he did not pull over even though we requested too. The car smelled of burning rubber and there was SMOKE coming up from the back seat where three girls were sitting. We were not offered an upgrade, wasted almost an hour of our 5 hours. Driver said he got us the "good" champagne and it smelled like a garbage disposal, could not drink it. While taking the long way home rather than the expressway (which wasted even more time) he made a no turn on red and we saw the police lights. Cop ended up pulling over our friend that was following us and she got the $150 ticket instead of the limo driver. Called the Lavdas three times because no one called me back, the manager finally spoke with the owner and they offered me nothing for what we went through say the car troubles were "an act of god" and nothing could have prevented it. read more

My niece's wedding was last Sunday and the limo air conditioning was not working. Can you imagine on a hot humid 90 degree day in your wedding gown not having any air conditioning. There were two little children in the limo too. All the girls makeup was ruined and their hair fell. The driver told them "you will be OK". This is unacceptable. The driver had a portable fan on him so he knew there was no air conditioning. They should make sure their air is working before they leave or get another limo. You have to pay in advance. When my sister in law complained they said " what would you like us to do". She wanted some fees back but nothing yet. Just a warning before you rent with this company make sure the air is working on a hot day. read more

So they will be sending an escalade. Come to find out it was a older escalade. They only offered $100 off. I was paying them over $1000 for the hummer and they send some piece of cheap limo. Never again, I heard they were one of the best in metro Detroit from mojo in the morning, but I guess they are the worse. Messed up the whole anniversary entrance plan. I kept looking for places that can give me a great price and great deal and by far this was the only place that honored that. We used Lavdas for my daughter's wedding on 9/24/16 and we were very disappointed in the limo that arrived and Lavdas subsequent lack of response on the whole matter. The limo driver was kind and professional, the rest of the experience was not. First off, the vehicle was from Xpress Limo and not a Lavdas vehicle. We were never told they sub-contract their limos. And as far as the limo itself here are the issues: 1. the a/c did not work properly 2. rust on the vehicle 3. muffler was very loud and noisy and huge amounts of white smoke were coming out of the limo 4. .when the driver made right turns, the right side tires rubbed against the vehicle and made loud noises which the driver warned the passengers about. 5.duct tape was used on the floor! 6. one door did not open properly and the bridal party could only enter/exit with 1 door. (how inconvenient!) 7. Overall it was an old vehicle with too many issues and was very disappointing to everyone, considering the money that was spent on the most important day of my daughter's life. To further my disappointment, Lavdas has been totally unresponsive when trying to resolve this with their manager Sharna. I initially emailed her after the wedding and Sharna did respond that she was meeting with the owner on 9/29/16 to discuss this situation and asked if I could give her the next day to resolve this. Since then, I've never received a response (and it's almost 4 weeks now since the wedding). i have made multiple follow up phone calls and emails - all with no response. Whenever I call, Sharna is always "in a meeting", or "has stepped away from her desk". The rep who answered the phone on one of my call backs said "Sharna said she called you back". Sharna has NEVER called/emailed me back. A professional company will respond to their customers and do what they can to make a situation right. Shame on Sharna and Lavdas for not having the professional integrity to respond and do the right thing. read more

I DID NOT HIRE LAVDAS for my wedding day limo service. I made a point to stay away from Lavdas because of the many bad reviews on the web. To my surprise Lavdas shows up to my wedding! The driver told me the Limo company I hired contracted my wedding to them! WHAT!?!?! Let me tell you the bad reviews are all correct. We got a car with NO A.C. and the radio barely worked. Plus the car looked like it had a lot of miles on it, A LOT! And on top of it all the price we were given from the company I hired included a $100 tip. The sister of the bride paid him with tip when he picked up the bridesmaids. Later on the driver told me he was not tipped so I gave him $100. Come to find out we gave the guy a $200 tip! HE DIDNT DESERVE! He wasn't even supposed to be there!!! To add more salt to a wound. The hotel the wedding party stayed at contracted lavdas as a complimentary shuttle service for my party to and from the hall. (Must have been my lucky day!) First they told my guest they would not start shuttling them until 6:30pm. The wedding reception started at 6pm! We had the shuttle scheduled for a 5:30pm start. But it gets better! When they finally started shuttling my friends and family including my father, they took them to the wrong hall. When the passengers spoke up and told the driver he was at the wrong spot, the driver rudely told them it was the right spot and forced them off the shuttle. I'm pretty sure my dad knows where his son's wedding is... So there they sat until another shuttle came to pick them up and bring them to the correct hall, as the wedding party sat outside the correct hall because we had to wait for my family. The shuttle finally dropped them off (2-van loads of people) OVER AN HOUR LATE! An hour of our wedding day we will never get back because of Lavdas inefficiency's. And to end the evening the shuttle drivers told my guest the shuttles stop running at midnight and we had them scheduled till 1am! So quite a few guest left early to catch a shuttle that still had another hour... I checked with the hotel and all the paperwork given to Lavsdas was correct - times, location, etc. read more

Not very happy with Lavdas' service. One of our drivers was slamming on breaks and running over curbs. My bridesmaids were very scared during the ride. One time when the driver slammed on his breaks, it caused some of my bridesmaids to fall and hit heads with each other. This resulted in my maid of honor's dress ripping prior to the ceremony and one bouquet fell to the floor and was ruined before the wedding even started. In addition, the seats were dirty with makeup and one of my bridesmaid's dresses was stained from sitting on the seat. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

if i could give them 0 stars i would . . . we used there service through comfort inn in utica for a shuttle for guests for our wedding scheduled pick up times were 4:30 and 5:00 with our ceremony starting at 5:30 well the fun starts here our 4:30 shuttle never showed up leaving guests stranded there wondering if it would come, they waited until 5:00 still no shuttle so they ended up driving ruining many guests plans for the evening of having care and worry free fun at 12pm upon leaving our reception, i walked out to, the little asian driver berating my guests because it was 11:50 and they were not on the shuttle yet, upon approaching him and asking him to calm down, his response to me was f*** you, i leave all your guests, after asking him to calm down and my wife and i left for the hotel in our get away car, we find out he indeed did leave a lot of our guests there, causing them to have to uber we left before the shuttle did in our getaway car, and the shuttle beat us back, i can only imagine how fast he was driving, getting reports from my guests that he was still cussing at the ones that made it on to the shuttle while we were outside the hotel talking to our guests he stood there smoking a cigarette, talking crap about us to other hotel guests, upon hearing this my groomsmen told him to calm down and shut up because it was done and over with, upon which this little asian man approached as if he was going to fight my groomsmen all the while cussing at this point the kind man at the front desk of the comfort inn basically had to physically remove him from the property because he was causing so many issues with everyone this was most unprofessional service i have ever dealt with and will never do business with them again berating and telling older ladies f*** you is not ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I like taking a limo to Detroit metro for vacation - nice way to start off and you can shave you time down since you wont be driving all over for parking. Leaving for Mexico 5 am - they didn't show ! Finally got a hold of someone( owner or manager?) - they had no one to send either - I was completely HOSED. Asked "how can you do this to me - he replied - it wasn't me it was your driver". Didn't accept any responsibility for mess just blamed the driver.
