Elle has done amazing things with my hair, starting from getting rid of the orange tints that another salon's hairdresser did to my hair. A few years on from that initial work and I continue to be so impressed each time I get my highlights done. They look very natural and allow me to go months without needed any touchups. Beautiful blonde and dirty blonde highlights. I cannot recommend Elle enough! I found her online when in dire need of color correction from another stylist. I have been seeing Elle for about a year and a half now and I am never disappointed! She has found the perfect formula to cover my grays and is as close to "nature" as possible in the color. Elle also cares about the health of your hair...so she isn't going to perform a service that your locks aren't ready for (meaning she cares more about YOU than the $$). Jordan has been gracing my hair with her talented hands for about a year now and I couldn't be more impressed with her work. Some people have to work for years at creating an exemplary balayage and to others it just comes naturally - Jord is one of those naturally talented folks. She has "the eye", if you will. What I appreciate about her work the most is that she strives to enhance your natural color whilst still preserving the integrity of your hair. My hair always turns out beautifully and has that much desired lived-in, model-off-duty look. I've been going to see Jordan for balayage for about three years now. I've seen her for consultations, full balayage, half, and also just gloss. For consultations, she always asks how I normally style my hair, what my hair goals are, etc. I've both brought in pictures and let her wing it (just depends on the day or how long it's been since my last appointment). She is talented, kind, funny, patient with the process, and so stylish. She always brightens up my natural mousey "bronde" color to perfectly sun kissed; I leave with highlights that look effortless and last. I visited the new salon in late August. Lavender & Mane is stylish, well kept, and has everything you'd expect in a salon. Their product selection is amazing too - I love Milbon and Davines. If you have brown or black hair, you HAVE to go to Jordan. I don't trust anyone else with my dark hair. It took me forever to find someone who knows how to highlight dark hair. She always achieves the perfect cool tone balayage that looks natural and complements my skin tone. Her color placement is also so amazing. She has an eye for this and she's so gifted. Even when I was living out of state, I would come back to DC to get my hair done by Jordan. On top of all that, she is an awesome person and she will really listen to you and work with you. I am so grateful she was able to undo all the horrible hair hues that I had prior in order get a beautiful natural color that synchs with my skin tone. I followed Elle here from Ian McCabe where she had given me glorious balayage, which has always been hard for me to get because I have dark brown hair and don't like reddish tones. Elle did an awesome job there and when I decided to go back to my natural color she killed it as well! She's so talented at what she does! The salon is so cute and very intentionally decorated in a chic mix of vintage and new pieces. I commend them for starting a small business during such a difficult time.
