First time here and got a gel pedicure. Rushed and not thorough when it came to cuticle trimming and filing, which is frustrating because I could have done a better job myself. Polishing was frustrating--a piece of fuzz or chunk of polish was stuck in the nail, and when I asked her to fix it, she tried clipping it off with cuticle nippers unsuccessfully, but then just polished over it. At the end, I am still stuck with a chunk of something in my gel polish. Edges of nails not even polished, also frustrating. Got the silent treatment at the end, as she was clearly irritated I asked her to fix the nail. Despite still tipping 20% I won't be returning. Please, can we just take our time and perform the service? I'm paying $60+ so I don't have to do this at home, but if you're just going to blow through it what is the point? read more

I am a loyal Lavish girlie, despite moving out of North Greenbush almost two years ago. I haven't found anything comparable in the area. I don't get my nails done as much anymore (it's expensive!) but when I decide to treat myself, Lavish is my go to. The current technicians are great and the owners really pay attention to feedback and in my years of going there, noticed that they took feedback seriously and did not retain the technicians that did not perform services on par with their standard. Went for the first time. Worst French manicure I have ever had. The anc is on my skin and the white tips are not straight and don't reach the sides. Horrible. And he filed my nails different shapes. Never going back. read more

I've called this place multiple times to try and make an appointment- minimum three times - different days, different times and every time they answer - ask me to immediately hold and NEVER come back on the line... held each time for 15mins. Quite disappointing read more

I am a wax specialist and esthetician but needed my brows done and don't do my own. I went to Lavish because they are the closest to my house. The person doing my service did not wash their hands or wear gloves (NYS violation). No pre cleanse or powder was used. The stick was doubled (NYS violation). Having been through 675 hours of schooling I've been waxed by many students in my classes and this was the absolute worst looking and most painful waxing experience I've had in my life! My intention was to begin going there for my nails but after the number of basic waxing procedures not followed they have lost my business. read more

I had an ANC and within two weeks three of the tips broke off. Stopped in to schedule an appointment for next day. Had to wait nearly 25 minutes. They charged $15. My last place didn't charge for repairs. The high stools are uncomfortable for shorter people. Will pass on this place. read more

Have been going to Lavish for almost a year now and am always very pleased with the service i receive. While it can be frustrating that sometimes with an appointment I will have to wait far past my appointment time for service, I feel they are trying to improve this. The technician I use is always very friendly and very talented, and my nails always get compliments. read more

I was very disappointed. it took a while to actually find a time when we could get a reservation. The place was actually filthy. I'm surprised we even stayed but we did. The person doing my nails was very nice but had bandaids on his fingers and blood under his nail and dI'd not wear gloves while he did my nails. The cashier was telling a story that ended with her giving the finger on both hands to the police. I would not go back even if you paid me to. The counter was dirty and at one point he put a nail dryer right in front of me and brushed all the dirt off right in my face! it seems like that's what has become normal for them because no one seemed to care. We were also told that they gave you something to drink etc, we were not even offered water. The biggest waste of 90 dollars! I do not suggest this place at all and will never go back. read more

Had a 1:15pm pedicure appointment on a Saturday with my regular person. At 2:00pm my feet were still sitting in water and no one had come to check on me. With no more time to waste I paid for my daughter's pedicure and left. Not even an "I'm sorry about the wait" I won't be back. read more

I booked a gel manicure with Lavish as a last-minute thing. Upon arrival, the woman behind the computer was on her cell phone and didn't even look up to greet me. She asked for my appointment information and very briskly told me to go wash my hands and then have a seat. She went back to texting on her phone. I washed my hands and sat down. I had to wait maybe ten minutes beyond my appointment time, which wasn't crazy. The entire time, the woman behind the computer was texting and furiously clicking her nails on her phone. She was wearing sweatpants and giving everyone very aggressive stares. Camilla did my nails and she was very nice, but the manicure is already chipping. I probably won't be back, since the building was not air-conditioned and the sun was on my face for almost my entire appointment. The high-top chairs were not comfortable and I felt very cramped while waiting for my appointment. The vibe in this place was snobby and had mean girl energy. Unrelated, but the girl getting her nails done in the seat next to me had her mother standing and commenting on the nails the entire time. In an already cramped space, this was annoying and I'm not sure why the nail tech didn't ask the mother to sit down. read more

This business was recommend to us due to medical reasons where my husband is unable to maintain his nails . His first visit was great and upon leaving we scheduled another appointment for 2 months later. We've all had experienced appointments which run a little late, Drs., Dentist as example. Here though 45 minutes later while he sat in the chair soaking his feet the person this appointment was scheduled with was still with another customer. Why in heavens if you have an appointment on the calendar would you entertain starting with another client? Excuses running a little behind, you have a contact number why not call and share? Nice looking place. It was literally a bar that you sit at for your nails. Fortunately for them, but unfortunately for me, they were extremely busy. My appointment time was 2:30 and I still waited 20 minutes. Crowded spaces Not a relaxing experience. The way the bar is set up, there are people constantly walking behind you or sitting behind you. Made me feel like I needed to scoot up the whole time. I went in the early afternoon and the sun blares through the windows without shades. I needed sunglasses. The atmosphere is loud with everyone's conversations. There's nothing to block the echoing. My nails look hood at a distance, but sloppy up close. Prices are average. I was in town to see friends and wanted a quick traditional manicure (no gel, etc), the woman who took care of me was average at best, it was minimal effort extended to complete the manicure. I had to ask her to cut my nails! I wanted to try two colors to see which I liked better and she was very put out by this request. When I went to dry my nails she couldn't bother helping with my purse to ensure I didn't ruin the polish. I'm not sure what her name was, but she was a poor representative of the business. I don't live here so not a big deal for them or me, but I have told all the people I know to give this a pass. It was very reasonable and the end result was not bad, but still wouldn't recommend. read more

This was the longest pedicure of my life. I was there for 2 HOURS just for a normal pedicure. The Emory board they used on my nails looked used, even though they said it wasn't. The girl didn't file the side of my nails like at all. She filed my second toe super slanted. The girl took the polish off my toes multiple times, and then told me "the polish is too thick" and I should pick a different color. It was Essie Ballet Slippers...how about don't have that color or buy a new one if that one is too thick? They had a terrible selection of colors. I was looking for a light light pink or not super bright white and they didn't have any that I saw and there wasn't one in the binder if was give when I was asked to pick a different color. Will not be returning and would not recommend. read more

Ok, so i am only 14 almost 15 but i really like this place. The first time a went. I wanted to get ANC and i have gotten it before so I had a slight idea of what I was to expect. But the guy that did my nails didn't really understand what I wanted which was just a white coffin nail. It didn't turn out very well. But because I am a child I didn't speak up and say anything. But then a week goes by and my boyfriend accidentally breaks one of my nails. I was fine with it because I didn't really like them anyway. So I went back with my mom that Sunday and all of the women there were really nice and understanding. I believe the technicians name was Katie. And she was the lady that redid my nails. I love her so much because she was so understanding. And kind- of customized my nails to be stronger because I am in school and have to do a lot. And I loved them they were amazing. And because they were a redo she wanted me to only pay $10. ONLY 10. Which I found was not right considering how amazing they were she deserved so much more. So my mom was holding my money and we gave her I believe 25 or 30 dollars. Either way I really really do recommend this place. My advice is to ask for a specific person to do your nails. Honestly very unimpressed with this nail bar. I get what they are trying to do and see why it is very popular, but my experience was less than desirable. Jen was sloppy and didn't seem to care about my experience. I've dealt with her at another salon and she was okay. I arrived at my appointment, early, but none the less. I waited 30 mins for someone to even get my feet wet. Thankfully got my massage in. I wouldn't rule it out, but until things return back to normal I won't go back. read more

I was excited to try this new salon. I went with a group of friends, we had reservations. They took all of my friends to get pedicures while I sat waiting for a spot to open to have my manicure. After waiting for a while I decided I wasn't going to sit around any longer and went to a few stores in the plaza while the others finished the pedicures. When I returned 30 minutes later I was not greeted by anyone just given dirty looks. My friends still had not finished so after sitting again for a long period of time without be spoken to, offered a glass of wine or even a magazine I left. Disappointed to say the least. read more
