I have been here a couple of times over the years and found it to be decent/satisfactory however I usually go to a place near my office that is outstanding (Metime Nails in Albany). I was in need of an emergency manicure on a Saturday so I went to Elite. I didn't pay much attention during the process so it wasn't until I left that I realized my nails looked ..... laughably bad. Horrendous. All different shapes - some nails were square some were round, some almond. All different lengths. And I got French tips which were completely inconsistent in both size and shape. I had black ANC on before this and they didn't get all the black off so my nail beds looked filthy. The tech used clippers to clip my skin but ended up making the sides of each of my nails ragged. When I showed my friends they asked if the person who did my nails was blind. They did offer to redo them for free but it was so bad I didn't even take them up on it, it just wasn't worth it. I feel bad cause the tech was very nice but I will never return to this place. I ended up filing them myself so I could make the manicure palatable and it started coming undone after only 9 days (it's usually 3+ weeks !) read more

Well, it was time for my bi- weekly ANC nail color change. Aside from wanting a new color, I wanted to try a new salon. Thanks Yelpers for pointing me to Elite. Top Notch experience. When I called, they answered the phone quickly, and were very easy to understand. The salon is incredibly clean and modern. They definitely pay attention to detail. I noticed little things like they have a vacuum system built into the tables to collect the dust. Nice touch. They got me right in and started removing the ANC on my nails. Nothing is more frustrating than having to wait and then sit for 10 min while the prior ANC gets soaked off. The girl who did my nails was very personable, conversational and easy to talk to. She got me exactly what I was looking for. Elite is well worth the extra 10 min drive from Glenville. I've got my new salon. read more

I was looking for a new salon and Elite has pretty good reviews. It's a little out of the way for me, but I don't mind for a good, reliable salon. I never felt comfortable in the one to which I was going. The salon is bright and clean and the staff were great. I'm sure the regulars have a pretty good relationship with the staff, but I didn't feel "less than" because I wasn't a regular. They have a lot of options for pedicures and I am definitely Looking forward to doing the "Hollywood" pedicure in the future. Prices are also reasonable. Will definitely be returning. read more

My boyfriend and I really loved it here. We were unaware that we could make an appointment, but we were immediately accommodated when we got there. We felt really safe because everyone was wearing a mask the entire time and we really enjoyed the clear dividers. My boyfriend and I both got pedis and I got acrylics. I didn't get their names, but two women attended us and were really friendly, making conversation with us and making sure that they weren't hurting us during our pedis. I am very satisfied with the service I received, this is the first one I've had acrylics and they did a wonderful job. I do wish the prices were a little cheaper, but that is just me speaking as a broke college student. It is definitely worth the drive from my school to Elite Spa, and the service was phenomenal. Always skeptical of trying new nail salons, I was pleasantly surprised with the tidy location of Elite on 146. I walked in on a Sat at the start of business and got an immediate appointment. My gel manicure (Gelish) was expertly done from start to finish by T, including a thorough job on my cuticles, perfect polish job, a paraffin treatment, and massage. The customer next to me was a returning client who loved her tech. I received such a beautiful manicure and was not rushed, even though the salon became busy. I am from California and visit my mother in-law once or twice a year in Clifton Park. My husband and I like to take her to get a pedicure when we are here and came to Elite Spa. I thought I had found my forever nail spa but I'm not sure I'll go back. One, the woman I saw was continuously coughing during my pedicure without covering her mouth. I had to refrain from saying anything. Next time I might bring a mask to protect myself. Two, I had to remind her to trim my cuticles on my left foot because I think she forgot. Three, she over layered the nail polish so much I had to ask her to redo it because I didn't want it to smudge. Four, she barely filed my nails or gave me a good or leg massage that comes with it. Fifth, she was distracted a majority of the time and kept getting up to assist others. She was very nice but I wouldn't return to see her. I was extremely disappointed. I got a regular manicure and pedicure, but i though it was just ok. they do offer paraffin for both hands and feet as part of the service which is nice but...my polish on my toes already chipped and it hasn't been a full week. They spend a good amount of time on your nails but not where you become antsy which seems to happen to me a lot at other nail salons when your waiting time is more than your service... elite nails is very clean feeling and new. They did an amazing job with ANC. I went on a two week vacation and after I came back my nails still looked amazing. I hate when they do ANC and after the nail starts growing the anc starts lifting where the cuticle are and little hair or what not starts getting stuck. Not here. They just did an amazing job. Then I went to have my anc removed and had a regular mani done. He lady that was going my nails took her time and she was so detialed oriented. I loved my nails and they looked in a great shape after ANC removal. This my salon for mani. read more

My sister, friend, and I wanted to go for a pedicure, and we decided to try Elite based on other reviews we had come across. We're really glad we did because Elite was exceptional. First and foremost, the salon was phenomenally clean, which is truly the most important factor in my opinion. On top of that, it was well ventilated and did not have the typical nail salon odor. Unfortunately I have to give this place three stars based on my last visit. My first visit however, five stars across the board! I had a wonderful ANC and a personable tech (I think her name was Bet?). It was quick and done with professionalism. I felt comfortable and relaxed. I hope this is your experience! I went on a Saturday morning and everyone seemed happy. However, my review is based on my most recent visit. I had made an appointment to have my ANC done after work yesterday. I walk in and let her know I've arrived and she asks me to pick a color. I can be indecisive, but I figured I had time to still browse the colors as I had to wait for my last nails to soak off. When I asked my tech she rolled her eyes at me and told me not to drip anywhere. I then felt so uncomfortable that I maybe browsed for 30 seconds and returned to my seat. She removes my nails and begins to prep them and dip them. She continued to be very cold and clearly didn't care about my service at all. The color was applied to my nails. Then I'm actually unsure of what happened...she puts the activator on and asks me to slide over one seat. A new nail tech essentially starts to do my nails all over! Not sure why as no one explained or bothered to speak to me. In addition, and perhaps it's the color I chose - I'll take a little blame - I chose a purple color and you can see the whites of my some of my nails underneath. No one bothered to ask me if I was happy they just wanted to rush me out the door. I paid and tipped both techs because maybe it was just a bad day. Sadly, I'm not sure if I'll return to this place. What was confidently my new nail salon is somewhere I feel I can't return. read more

Just went to Elite Nail Spa for the first time, despite being skeptical of a salon I've never tried before, and it was the most pleasant salon experience that I've ever had! The workers were friendly, chatty, and easy to understand. The atmosphere was clean, modern and comfortable. On top of the amazing experience, the manicure was affordable, my ANC with coffin-shaped tips were $35. On top of how affordable this was, the woman who did my nails took her time, making sure there were no bare or uneven parts, while many other salons I've tried rush through ANC. I came here based on the Yelp reviews. I'm hate relocating bc I hate having to find new nail salons but this was a great find. Vinny was very professional and nice. I got a pedicure and SNS overlay on my nails. It's the only thing I ever get and I'm very particular. Great salon! First time here with my friend and we enjoyed it very much. Both got anc manicures and spa pedicures. Our technicians were a young man and woman - both were very attentive and were accommodating to me as I recently had surgery making it tricky for me to move. They took their time with our nails and shaped them perfect! I enjoyed that they were able to carry a conversation with us and weren't speaking to each other in another language like many salons (I have no problem if you don't speak English primarily, but I feel that it's rude to carry on talking in front of customers).
