This place is so great! Happy Hour Glow? Yes please! This was my first time spray tanning so I was a little worried about it looking fake or rubbing off on my clothes...but it honestly looks so natural. This was my first ever spray tan , and I have to say that I wouldn't have had it any other way! Kelsey was amazing she seemed like she genuinely cared about me ! It was just a great feeling ! She made me feel SO comfortable ! She was so sweet and attentive ! This was my first EVER time getting sprayed and i was SO nervous but she put my mind at ease . I hadn't had a "spray tan" in ages, but went here on a friend's recommendation before a beach vacation. The results were excellent, the color very natural, no funky smell, and the ladies who run this business (and invented the amazing organic tanning solution) were totally professional, sweet and friendly. If you follow their maintenance advice about "patting dry" after showering, and applying lotion twice a day afterwards, the tan will last a nice length of time. If you need a tan, I doubt you will find a better place than this. Although I'm not an expert or heavy faux tanner, I'd have to say Lavish Tan is the best. read more

Had my first spray tan done here the day before I left for Coachella! I was surprised they were able to squeeze me in last minute. The staff is very friendly and the instructions they gave during the spray tan and after were very clear and easy to follow. Parking is hard to find around the area but you can go around to the back side streets. I was very happy with my tan and received many compliments as well! For me, the tan lasted about a week. I definitely will be coming back since summer will be arriving soon (: read more

I was originally super happy with my tan but today is the 10th day and I really don't like how my tan is fading. It looks pretty bad now. It looks like I have some disease on my skin. I had to take a star away. I think the tan is more for a special ocassion but not something to do on a regular basis. I can't have funny looking skin every 10 days. The tan looked great for about 7 days which it's how long they say it should last and I would still return to this location I'm just bummed it's fading so badly. This was my first tan so I don't know if this is normal or not. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE the ladies of Lavish Tan! Not only is my tan fabulous but Kelsey and Alex are so sweet. I have been sprayed twice by Alex and she just chats away while spraying so I didn't feel uncomfortable for one second of the time I was standing there fully exposed. This place is amazing, I've been twice- super easy to book appt, to confirm appt. all the girls that work here are nice and make you feel welcome and comfortable. As for the spray itself, it looked amazing, I received multiple compliments and it looked so natural. I'm pasty white and the color looked even and beautiful. I live in NYC and didn't have time to get a spray tan prior to an event I had on the west coast. When I researched salons, I came across Lavish Tan and I couldn't be happier with the results. I came to Lavish Tan after researching places before I went to Mexico for my brother's wedding. I am definitely coming back here, this place is fantastic! I was initially very skeptical, because I had never had an airbrush tan, and I had heard horror stories about streaking, staining, etc. My experience at Lavish Tan could not have been better. The staff was great, answered all of my questions, and really provided truthful, accurate information for maintaining the tan. It looked amazing, I was thrilled! It was even, streak-free, and had a beautiful glow. It didn't even rub off on any of my clothes the first day before showering after having it done. The moisturizing product that they have for sale is great, I used it as directed, and was very happy with the results after coming here. I got the smaller bottle of moisturizer, but next time will get the larger bottle, because I ran out after only a few days. This is even what I was told after asking about the different sizes. So glad to have found this place! read more

Amber followed up immediately with an email providing details of what should be done prior to the appointment, i.e. shaving, exfoliating, etc. The day before, I received a text reminder. Nice touch. After arriving onsite I met Amber. Big, bright smile and immediately I was comfortable. I'm not modest, but the fact remains that you're getting down to your skivvies in front of a stranger, so feeling at ease that quickly is a gift. She thinks of every detail, explains what she is doing during application and still is able to work in some fun chit chat . She even put a pre-violet spray on my skin to counter the red (Irish baby!). Amber is a true professional, blending my feet and heels afterwards with a soft blender. It's the next morning as I write this, zero orange (miracle!), the color is a golden-I've-been-laying-on-the-beach-for-a-week-brown. I got a solid base in 1.5 months but I imagine girls with more melanin will tan even faster. I burn very easily, and Shakira (hope I'm spelling it right) took so much time helping me understand the different beds, prices, tanning lotions, etc. She always remembers me when I go in, and makes sure i have extra towels and leave with a free cold drink. She is just the sweetest. She listens and checks in regularly, and made sure I started with extremely short sessions (2 minutes) and worked my way up. She also let me upgrade to the premium bed for free a couple times to see what it was like, and even let me try out her personal premium tan accelerator lotion that was out of budget for me. Now with my base tan I feel cuter in shorts and dresses, and I notice that I can actually walk around outside for a few minutes without immediately burning my chest and arms. Yay!

My first experience with airbrush tanning and it was amazing!! I use to do the mystic spray tan all the time, but after getting tired of the nasty smell and the uneveness, i wanted to try the airbrush. I went to chocolate sun several times. The color was good but they were over priced and not nearly as knowledgable and down to earth as the girls at Lavish Tan. No pushy sales or packages. It's just a one time small price of $35 for new clients and then only $40 there after. I have been 4 times now and couldnt be happier with the results. it also last so so so long!!! I think the color comes out better than any other spray tan i've ever had but if you layer the airbrushing without exfoliating and getting it off all way it will start to fade funny. I am addicted. The color is so natural. All my friends are hooked now too. The girls who own the place are very very flexible and relaxed. NO CREDIT cards though. Remember to bring cash only and tip your technician. They really appreciate when you tip them. Also, they tend to give you a little extra's if you do (I got some shimmer additive free of charge, normally $5 more) Oh ya, and they have scents you can choose from! I chose coconut which smelled like Hawaii! but it doesnt stay after the shower. Bummer! Great though. I would definitely recommend!! read more

I was skeptical at first having read the YELP reviews before going to get my tan. But after expecting the experience to be as amazing as everyone else says it was, I began to have faith in all the female yelpers out there. Lavish Tan is a cute little airbrush tanning studio in the best location in all of Venice. It's very clean, like everyone said, and the technician, Kelsey is extremely helpful and made me feel comfortable. I mean, getting naked in front of a stranger especially with my body isnt always the most pleasant experience...... The solution was cold. Which actually kind of felt good because it was a hot day out. However, in winter, I don't think I would have enjoyed the experience as much. I just got it yesterday so I dont know how long it will last on me,but I do know that right now, after having showered this morning, my color is really pretty. It is even and doesnt look the slightest bit orange, which is what I was afraid of. They are awesome here.. very sweet girls and have their airbrush tanning skills down. My girl told me she had over 7 years of experience being a professional airbrusher. HAHA...... well.. I liked it. I signed up for Yelp just to post a review for this business. I was scared to try the personal airbrush tanning thing but after reading all the other reviews on here, I felt a little more confident. This is a hidden gem in Venice! I have been doing the spray tanning for over 6 years now and I can't say better things about this business and the results I got from my airbrush tan. The color is GORGEOUS and I love love love the different scents. The mystic tan smells so bad ... I use to have to plan my "nights in" around my weekly spray tanning sessions. Now, I can actually go out without feeling like I smell like a giant potato chip! I cant say too much about how long it's lasted on me because I am only on day 2 but the color still looks amazing! I just keep looking at myself in the mirror and had to spread the word to all the other girls out there looking for a perfect spray tan in LA. This small business is going to take off at the rate they are going. Great customer service and knowledgeable about their product and services. Worst spray tan I have ever had. I went to Kelsey right before my vacation with my fiance. I was excited to be getting sprayed before my trip. Unfortunately it turned out horrid. I sent the owner Kelsey photos from Day 7 even, and her response and exact words were even, "That looks awful!" I have been getting spray tanned for years at Sun Studio Marina del Rey and I have never had a problem or a bad spray. I only tried Kelsey that day because my usual girl was out that week and I saw her reviews on here. I should have just gotten tan on vacation. The outcome was beyond embarrassing and looked so bad. It was completely uneven and my feet looked like they were soaked in an orange paint tub. Everyone was staring at me at the airport. It stayed awful looking for over 10 days, pretty, much our entire vacation. It was spotted and scaly looking and orange. Even my backside had white lines where she did not get. It looked ridiculous. I took so many showers trying to get it off and it would not come off. It took me about 6 emails and 2 months going back and forth with Kelsey before she offered a refund, after she asked me to come back for another spray... no thanks! For $65 + tip, I would have expected much better results. read more

After having my yummy Abbott's Pizza pie, I walked over to this new spot called Lavish Tan. I noticed the sign the last time I was in the neighborhood but after a friend referred me and I accepted the fact I just can't tan anymore in the real sun, I decided to book an appointment. The reviews on here are very accurate. The place is absolutely adorable. It's very small, but hey, how big does an airbrush tanning place need to really be anyway, right? The girl was very sweet and made me feel comfortable being nude in front of her. She explained everything and seemed to have her tanning 101 down to the T. It's crazy, do they have tanning school out there? I loved my tan but it only lasted around 10 days for me. I was a little bummed because they said two weeks or so and I feel like I got shorted my 4 extra days. But still from what I know, 10 days is a long time for a spray tan... at least that is what I have been told. I am not a big tanner or girly girl but I would definitely go again if I am another occasion to be tan for. Parking is a pain around there too. So park on the street behind Abbott Kinney or behind Abbotts Pizza there is a free lot.. if you are in neighborhood though just ride a bike or walk. read more

I never post on yelp, I am usually just a reader- however-after visiting this place and being terrified of having a spray tan done- I followed the advice of all u yelpers about this company. Thank you so much for your reviews because you couldn't have been more right! This place is amazing! The color was perfect! No organey hands and feet-no gross smelly odor-and no slotches like i would get in the spray booth. ORGANIC is also a plus!!! My friend warned me if I hadn't done an airbrush tan before...i should be weary of who i let do it on me. So with your help I couldnt be happier to rave and submit my first post about Lavish Tan. I tried Lavish Tan recently and boy, I'm so glad I did! I have gone to plenty of tanning places before and I must say that nothing comes close to Lavish Tan. These girls are very outgoing and professional. Kelsey and Alex made me feel comfortable the moment I walked in their place. These girls go above and beyond on service, color and quality. First of all, the color is even and very natural looking which also lasted the longest amongst all the other tanning salons I have been to. I also noticed that their color does not smell as compared to others which is definitely a plus. As for their pricing, it's very reasonable and well worth your money! Lavish Tan is absolutely incredible!!!! I have been to Portofino, Sunset, and the list goes on and on. I felt like I was getting ripped off, pushed to buy packages, and would leave with an uneven, orange tan. Lavish Tan is different from any other tanning salon I have been to. Kelsey , the owner is super sweet, comfortable and does incredible airbrushing. I never leave with streaks, spots, odor or looking orange. I am NOT a spray tan guy and had never had one before Lavish! I met one of the girls Kelsey out one night on Abbott Kinney. We had a super fun night and she told me what she did at Lavish. I told her in my drunk state I would let her be my 'first' spray tan! I went in the next week, got the tan and it was really really good for 3 reasons - One, the girls Kelsey and Alex are great. I LOVE THIS PLACE! Kelsey and Alex are both wonderful, attentive and pay great attention to detail. I get a perfect tan every single time I go in whether I want a slightly darker tint in the summertime or a little lighter and more natural during the winter. The girls at Lavish Tan are amazing. I'm a very pale redhead who has always had trouble finding the perfect solution for getting a "tan". I hate tanning beds, get burned in the sun, and turn orange with self tanners. Lavish Tan offers the perfect solution. Kelsey and Alex are professional, courteous, and personable and make you feel right at home in their cute salon on Abbot Kinney. They answer all questions, even the ones I didn't ask. The best sunless tan I have found, ever. Kelsey is amazing and pays so much attention to detail. Immediate ego boost getting a fake tan. I can't spend much time in the sun because I burn so bad, but I like to feel good about myself, and a tan generally helps with that! Great place! A new airbrush tan salon in venice is always a good thing in my book.VERY LOW PRICES. Professional service and a sweet natural tan. What more could u ask for?
