When my primary aesthetician wasn't available, this was a place I trusted and would come to as a backup. I booked a facial here recently specifically because I had an inflamed pimple on my chin that I was hoping could be treated before an important event. I drove about 40 minutes and paid $150 for the service. The aesthetician was very kind and professional, but the service itself did not meet expectations. There was no steam or warm compress used, the towels were cool, and no meaningful extractions were performed. The only area that seemed to be addressed was some oil around my nose. The primary concern I came in for was not treated or discussed, and I left with the same inflamed lesion I arrived with. I completely understand that not all breakouts are appropriate for extraction, but this was never communicated during the service. I followed up directly and through customer service. While they were responsive, I was told a refund was not possible and was instead offered a discount on a future service or a complimentary 30-minute facial. Unfortunately, that does not address the outcome of the original service. I was also told that an email had been sent to me, which I never received (including checking my spam folder), which added to the frustration. This experience unfortunately changed my perception of a place I used to trust, and I don't see myself returning. Sharing this so others can make an informed decision.

I've had airbrush tans from 5 different salons within two miles of MM&V, the prices range anywhere from $15 per tan (when you purchase 3 at a time) to $50 per tan. I've used Groupon and Living Social and Yelp! to locate these salons. The Living Social deal for MM&V was $28. My airbrush tan with Daniela at MM&V is as good as the $50 tan - which was the best. My five star rating is based 30% on the experience and 70% on the tan. Daniela is experienced. And when you are standing nearly naked or in some cases, naked in front of a woman that you've never met - experience is important. She is professional and easy going, applies barrier cream in the right spots, explains the process as she goes and gives tips and hints about how to make the tan last, etc.. Her suite/salon is private and has just enough room (she has a spray tanning tent set up) to do the job. The location at the Marina Marketplace right off the 90fwy is AWESOME, free and easy parking is a big plus! It's been 24 hours since the tan was applied and no one would guess that it is an airbrush. No marks around my feet or hands and not a hint of orange in the color. Perfection! I always get my mani/pedi, shave and exfoliate BEFORE I arrive and wear loose fitting, dark clothing and flip flops. I wait until the next morning to shower.

We discussed what would be good for me, and decided on a hydrating and cleansing facial with extractions. My skin is very dry overall, but I have an oily and clogged nose. I had my facial earlier today, and my skin feels so clean and hydrated! Laura is an expert in her field. She is detailed and takes great care in everything she does.
