I'm normally not the one to leave reviews. However tonight I just can't let this one go. My family and I love the food here and it is one of our go to spots We have been here at least half a dozen times in the last few months. Tonight my kid and I went for dinner together. My child has a service dog. Not a pet but an Actual Service Animal that is trained the Dog wears a bright pink vest/ harness with very large and clear patches that say Service Animal. In the past it has never been an issue. While sitting at the table she usually goes inder the table and my kids chair. Never makes a sound Her focus is always on my kid and nothing else. Tonight we walked in and was met with an awkward stare from behind the counter. We didn't even make it 3 feet in. I said hello. I asked if it were a problem. That we have been here before and never had an issue. His response was for him He had an issue. I replied she is a Service Dog. He repeated that he had an issue with it. Not want to create a scene and cause more stress for my kid we left. while we were leaving I heard a woman say to her husband, it says service animal. What I can not believe is that this is a Military Veteran and Active Duty community. We are not the only ones here with a disability. It's a shame. The food and prices weren't bad and I did enjoy my pasta a lot. The cheese bread was different but not in a bad way. I got pickup and the wait wasn't too bad. Service was really good and friendly. The issue is the portions for the cannoli. I LOVE a good cannoli and was excited when I saw they had some. I bought two for 11 dollars which isn't bad for a normal size cannoli. Tonight I watched the owner treat his line server with complete disdain and then he was yelling at a young woman Uber driver in a nasty manner because she refused to provide HER personal credit card information on an order she was picking up to deliver. He understood that she was an Uber Eats drive; she was very clear about it. I was confused bc obviously when an order is placed with Uber it's also paid then to my understanding. This restaurant offers so many selections. But mine and my families favorite is their pizza and homemade ranch. Their cheese, pepperoni, and super deluxe pizzas are by far the best in the Spring Lake and Fayetteville area. Also, the owner and employees are great people and offer the best customer service! Firstly, food was absolutely amazing! I cannot fault this place for having great food. Our server, TEQUILA! was amazing and worked hard and nonstop from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. She not once sat down, got on her phone, or showed an ounce of frustration. She interacted with clients and made small talk where needed. However, the manager or whoever he is, is an absolute jerk. He verbally berated her for roughly 10 minutes infront of a lobby full of clientele and had it to the point where she just stopped acknowledging him and walked away. After we got our ticket we were kinda stumped on how it was such a large ticket but when eating out that can tend to happen. We paid split, partial cash and the rest card. The lovely Ms.Tequila took it and went to the jerk face and asked for help and was promptly shooed off of the transaction. When I got the notification for the card transaction it was VERY wrong. Our table did the math, called our server over, and she addressed it with the man. $20 of our cash had disappeared in the midst of the transaction. How that much money suddenly wasn't in the register but charged onto the card makes no sense. After our server apologized profusely for a mistake that was NOT HERS but was rather made under HER name, we explained to her that we were not upset with her at all. And come to find out, this isn't the first time something like this has happened at this establishment. So long story short, this place has good food and I would be willing to come back. My wife and I wanted Italian but didn't feel like a long wait on a Friday evening in Fayetteville so we decided to try this place. We ordered the fried mushrooms appetizer and they were very good. My wife ordered the lasagna and I ordered spaghetti with meatballs (this is our go-to when we try a new Italian place - got to be able to do the basics right!) Both entrees were good. The spaghetti sauce is a little tomatoey and the meatballs were just okay. My wife said her lasagna's sauce was a little too thin and it needed more. The salads that came before the main entree were very good with their homemade vinaigrette. The atmosphere of the restaurant does not feel Italian at all. The walls are painted an odd coral color. Owner and Shiva(?) get 0 stars Alyssa gets 5 stars Food gets 3 stars We had a group of 22, having made reservations back in March, and confirmed with Shiva(?) two days before -- she said she'd be there to help out. We arrive and there is just one person, Alyssa, to wait tables, take orders, answer phones, work the drive-thru, help with preparing orders, serving orders, etc. Shiva didn't show for lunch. The owner had just left without giving reason or saying when he'd be back. Alyssa had only been on the job one week, but she remained positive, and did a great job remaining calm, busting her butt to serve ALL customers inside/outside and calling in. What really spoke volumes about this restaurant is its owner (who eventually came back). When our group lined up to pay at the register, he just stood to her side, not lifting a finger to help with the phones ringing (which she ended up doing while checking people out); nor did he help with a group seated and waiting for someone to take their orders. The owner seemed oblivious to the people who were watching him and how he treated his staff and customers. Our family of 5 visited La Vista recently and was very happy with the food, service, and cost. in addition, my husband accidentally left his credit card behind and discovered it missing the next morning. After a frantic search, he realized he may have left it at the restaurant. We went back and the card had been safely set aside. The man who handled this appeared to be the owner/manager and refused compensation. He engaged in friendly conversation and walked my husband to our car. Not only did we have a great dinner after a long day, but their honesty speaks volumes about their character. Highly recommend this restaurant. read more

They are fairly new. The food is great and you get plenty. Customer service is outstanding. They make you feel at home. I have been here three times and enjoyed every time. Chicken wings were great, steak sub was very good and they make a cinnamon coffee that is so worth the visit. Give them a try I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

Lavista has the best lasagna I've had in this area. Just had lunch there and my husband had he had the meat lovers Stromboli and I had lasagna with a salad. I thinks it's Spring Lakes best kept secret. The homemade balsamic vinaigrette was absolutely the best I've ever had and believe me my palate is very discerning. The Stromboli was good too. This isn't our first time visiting this restaurant and everything I've had there has been very good. Onion rings were delicious too. I heard all the great reviews about LA Vista and it's true, all true! As soon I entered the door the customer service representative was so polite and welcomed me there with open arms, I then asked for a menu and asked about its hot chicken sub with grilled peppers and onions melted mosserella cheese on a 11 inch toasted bun, she then offered me a free beverage while I waited for my takeout order, there was customers dining there and they was too friendly mentioning how they been coming for years. The chilvary was amazing which made you feel like family. When I proceeded to my hot sub, the succulent taste of the roasted chicken ohh, the melted cheese and that soft bun action left me in a daze, the sub was amazing and I recommend people to try there food, excellent service and barely any wait time, well worth it for $12.69 comes with chips or fries... I'm definitely interested on coming back again, next time there pastas even pizzas and many flavored chicken wings to offer. Thank so much read more
