    Apple pie dessert pizza
    E. H.

Ordered at 4:58pm. Was delivered on base at 5:55pm *This is the first time we ordered, only did so because our 2 to-go-to's happen to be closed.* We ordered The stuffed Philly cheese steak pizza (20.99) 8' Steak and cheese (6.49) 2 chili cheese fries (7.00) Apple pie dessert pizza (10.00) Ordering over the phone as apposed to the app you SAVE .90 but there is a MANDATORY $6.01 for TIPS, there's a 'support local fee', a $3.00 drivers fee. With tax and fee's coming to $13.00s, and a final totaling almost $50.00s, I expect some good food. Please see photos below, I add NO FILTERS. Honest opinions 0-5 CHILI CHEESE FRIES. - 0 stars, super cheap shelf style mushed chili, waste. STUFFED PHILLY PIZZA - Ridiculously greasy and dripping from box.. But was pretty good, very filling. 3.5 stars SUB - 5 stars! Off the chain delicious! APPLE DESSERT - wow all those apples. Super good but a few little spots of dough are a till raw. Driver -John, very friendly and let me know in two different calls, when he was leaving the store and when he pulled up. This driver is a good dude I would recommend this place, at least what we had, to anyone needing a quick bite.. little pricey, but overall worth it.

My pizza was delicious. Excellent customer service and the delivery driver was awesome. I will order from here again.

Their idea of a "Supreme".. :-(

Normally I go straight for brisket or ribs, but they told me they're known for their burnt ends, so I decided to try the burnt ends plate. After I paid and sat down for a bit, they came back and told me they had run out of burnt ends. They offered to substitute another meat and refund the difference. I switched to brisket and told them not to worry about the refund. To their credit, they gave me whatever burnt ends they had left along with the brisket, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the meat itself was disappointing. At first glance, the brisket did not look promising. The slices were very lean with almost no visible fat, no smoke ring, no pink, just gray-brown throughout. The bark was minimal and patchy. It looked dry before I even took a bite, and it ate exactly how it looked. The meat was firm, tight-grained, and lacked moisture. I ended up having to drink water between bites and could only finish about half before taking the rest home. The burnt ends weren't much better. They were dark and sauced on the outside, but they also leaned dry instead of tender and juicy. Not the rich, sticky, melt-in-your-mouth burnt ends I was hoping for. I got baked beans and potato salad for sides. I'm not sure if they make them in-house or if they're premade, but they were decent. Not amazing, not bad. They just didn't make up for the meat. I really wanted to like this place, especially after they recommended the burnt ends so confidently. I appreciate that they tried to make it right when they ran out, and that was good customer service. But at the end of the day, barbecue lives and dies by the meat, and this just didn't deliver.

The food was amazing and service was fast and friendly. They also offer freshly butcher beef and pork that looks INCREDIBLE! I also tried the Texas Caviar which was good but not really my style. 5/5 stars, will absolutely be back!

That said, Su's Sub has always been a staple for me since my high school years, so it's nostalgic when I come get takeout from here. The owners have always been great! They are friendly, welcoming, and consistent. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the quality of their food makes the overall quality great. The place itself is small and quaint, not fancy at all, but that's part of its charm. It's just good food without any flashy gimmicks. I usually go for their bulgogi and rice, or the bulgogi sub for my personal order and it always hits the spot. I'll grab other subs for my family when we want a substantial meal instead of the usual fast food in the area. It's not really fair to compare them to other sub shops or Korean spots I've been to, they've made their own niche with their menu options. Some might find it unusual that most of the menu is made up of classic American subs with just a few Korean options, but I honestly think that's part of their charm. In a town where most takeout is mediocre or dominated by fast food and chain restaurants, I can always count on Su's Sub for a reliable, flavorful meal.

They don't have an overwhelming draft or canned menu which to me is appreciated. I don't mind choices however when you have a craft beer menu that's deep it can be quite daunting. So to the Heckler crew, thank you for keeping it simple. This visit I had the Fried Pickles which if being honest were good but they're not the best I've had. If I could give a recommendation I would move away from the breading that's being used as I feel it takes away from the actual pickle which for me is about 90% of the taste profile. The breading was a bit overpowering. Sometimes simple is better. But that's just my opinion as a fried pickle enthusiast. Now as for the pizza, I have to give a solid high five. I've been here three times and everytime I've gotten a pizza and none have disappointed. This time around I got the meat lovers and it was fresh, and delicious. But if Diners, Drive In, and Dives has taught us there is always a gem hidden inside. Plus it sets so far back that it could easily be missed. This place reminded me of an authentic NY pizza shop. When you pass you can literally watch them stretch FRESH pizza dough in the window. Whenever you call or enter the store you're greeted with a kind smile and customer service. Now we've been here multiple times (since June) and I can honestly say this is our go to for pizza. Be mindful it's always gonna be around a 45 min wait so plan accordingly but know it's worth it. They also sell slices (pepperoni or cheese only) if you want a quick bite. The dough always tastes fresh and the pizza sauce doesn't taste canned and old. The toppings are fresh.
