I used them for a personal injury case last year and was "enamored" with all their slick advertising so I thought hey why not. They are a big firm and you only speak to the paralegal assigned to your case. The case took almost 7 months to settle and during that time staff was not very communicative or accurate with the info they give. You really feel your case is just another file to get thru with in their office so they can move on to the next. Then when it was time to send my settlement check they took their sweet time and even lied about getting it out to me. When I was following up they basically gave me run arounds and only when I got Shawn Lalezary involved something productive actually happened. The office staff was rude and a Leslie I spoke with treated me like I was just out to pester them. She even lied about status of my check delivery. I have all the emails to show how check was mishandled and they provided a USPS tracking number that did not update for days! It was some kind of game to the office staff! Also noteworthy to mention, my settlement was 2K less than the lawyer fees they charged. I did not feel taken care of at all. The best decision I made was calling the Law Brothers after my accident in June 2024. I was assigned my case worker, Priscilla, who was AMAZING!! She explained the process and always answered my questions. If she was not available to speak the front desk always made sure she would get my message and return my call. So the other day I was driving and someone hit my car bad. I was very disappointed because I know now that I won't have my own car for at least 25-30 days and I have a Tesla. I should of never gone to Law Brothers. Person that ran a stop sign n and hit me was talking on their phone admitted to police it was all her fault. She was working as a delivery person. When I had first consultation, was told don't worry, we'll get you the max amount since it was all her fault. I had MRI's done n months of therapy. My back is so messed up and in constant pain. My person working on case kept telling me don't worry we're working on your case. I hadn't heard from her in a couple of months, and when I called for status of case, I was told she no longer worked there. I asked, why didn't no one call me. Shortly after that I was told what I'd be getting, I told her, is this a joke, your not serious? It was under $6,000. After almost a year an a half I felt they dropped the ball and didn't care about my case. My vehicle was totalled and i had to purchase a new vehicle. I asked numerous times to talk to Shawn or Shervin but couldn't get connected to them or a call back from brothers. I should of just went thru with company's insurance co. I go to them to have my case handled and they inform me that the other party's insurance has accepted full liability and they will be sending the demand soon. MONTHS go by with no updates at all and I received a letter in the mail that they can no longer represent me. I called 4-5 times for someone to finally get back to me and explain the situation that the other insurance company will not pay out for any damages although we have in writing that they would accept liability. They suggested for me to go through small claims court which is fine I guess but so much time has been wasged just giving me the run around. They stated they would send me my case file and it's been two weeks and NOTHING. NOw I have to keep calling who knows how many times to get my own damn file. They basically made it seem like I had to go to their doctors even when I didn't want to when I said no to their doctors they had some call me who tried to basically tell me that I had to go to their doctors. You don't need to go to their doctors. You can go to your own doctors if you're truly hurt like I was it took six years for him to settle my case I understand there were a few people involved in my case which one of them died, and I understand that aspect of it, but they made I can't really but they made it seem like if I didn't go to the doctors I was hurting my reason why they wanted me to go to their at the end of it when the settlement happened, they were get more money their doctors, their friends there's no way you should be disabled and at the end of lawyer clears way more money than you do not even a close race go to your go to you lawyer have a lawyer don't go to their doctors. They're gonna send you appointments set up surgeries and at the end of the day they're gonna way more than you're gonna clear in your settlement if I ever get hurt again in any situation, I will never go to these people ever the case I to not mail me the check. I will come down to the office and pick up the check and they mailed the check then they canceled the check because I wanted to pick it up. I went down to the office to pick the check up. Most law firms in SoCal will charge you a maximum of 33%, im talking about MAXIMUM... that's usually the highest, this damn law firm starts at 33% and goes all the way up to 43%! YES, YOU ARE READING IT CORRECTLY... "FORTY THREE PERCENT" of YOUR settlement!!! They have a license to steal!! In better words they will FOR SURE make more money than you which is totally unprofessional and unacceptable. The communication from them is slim to none, you're lucky if you get anything explained to you, you NEVER get to speak to an actual attorney. Every time you call you speak to a different case manager, it's so irritating. They do not call you at all, you have to be chasing them around if you wanna know anything. It is really wrong the way they handle things. This law firm does NOT cater to you, all they're looking for is a "quick" solution and then on to the NEXT. You and your case means nothing to them, they do NOT fight for your best interest, they "fight" for THEIR best interest. My case has basically been abandoned by these unprofessional people. There's no caring for your case to achieve maximum compensation as they "claim". My accident was a year and a half ago and I'm still dealing with medical issues from the car accident and I've been left on my own to deal with herniated disc's and back issues. I filed a complaint with the California attorney's bar association. They got to cash my check as soon as they received it on March 11th 2022 to date, still no payments, no phone calls nothing. (48 days and counting) Why would take a law firm almost 2 months(now) to disburse my payment? makes no sense whatsoever. I used these law firm twice now. The first time it was a little rear end accident ( I was the one that got hit). On that situation I only got back pain but nothing to major (no surgery). The guilty party had full coverage so the firm treated me good. Now I was in a motorcycle cycling accident ( I was the one that got hit) on 8/2022 but this time the party that hit me had liability insurance. I was in the hospital after surgeries I contracted them right away They acted really nice saying sorry making me feel like there the firm to hire. Once they got ahold of the insurance for the other party and found out that it was only liability insurance there attitude change. I was in the hospital getting discharged so I called them to see what's going on with my case. They informed me that I had to go to the junk yard to take pictures of my motorcycle for the case to proceed. I was in crutches with a broken leg broken finger fresh out of surgery. They said they could do it that only I could so when ever I could that should. So all that speech that they will go knocking on doors to track people down to get me the settlement. So Stephanie one of there employees paralegal worker was never available to take my call. We communicate by email or voice mail. Every time I called her she was to busy to take my call. After a few months the other law firm called me and told me they want me to send my case back to the law brothers so they can keep all the cases together ‍ Chiropractor appointments out of pocket, Took her back to doctor because she's still having neck pain! They called and said in order for other occupants to be able to settle I had to sign off on the case! I said she's still going through treatment, so I signed so they can close the other cases up. After they sent me the docusign 3 days in a row, I spoke with Stephanie she sent me to manager, I called another attorney. He told me to send them an email and revoke it. So I did And I called the insurance adjuster. She notified them that I was revoking it on Wednesday. And by Thursday they sent in the document to her! I called the "manager" of law brothers. All she kept saying was " if it is over $5000 you have to put it in a trust. If it's less then you as a gaurdian get the cash. I kept telling her I don't care about that part, I want my granddaughter treated fairly and she is still in treatment- she said "it's not like it's out of your pocket, she has medical insurance to pay for everything"! Then I'm told a ball park amount n I'm not getting even half what I was told. They don't tell you that there rate goes up to 40% after 30 days knowing it's gonna take a lot longer. I was recommended to the Law Brothers and during my first interaction with them I informed them that I work at MarinHealth Medical Center in Greenbrae CA. They scheduled my two MRI appointments in Stockton CA. 92 miles away. I had to pay that clinic when we have a state of the Art MRI department, I had to take off early to get to my appointment 92 miles away twice. I also had a doctors appointment in Tracy when the best doctors in the Bay Area work for MarinHealth. Once again I had to take off two hours early to make my doctors appointment. I had three and ahalf weeks of therapy when we have three outpatient therapy clinics that I could've walked to, but had to leave work early to get to the scheduled appointments on time. When they completed their investigation they immediately cut off my therapy sessions and said that if I wanted to continue with my appointments I had to pay for them out of my own pocket. I paid for all of my doctor appointments out of my payout from the insurance company when I had both Kaiser and UnitedHealth Care. They got their money and I had to wait until the hospital visits were confirmed and paid before me.
